To me, this song defined the group more than any of the others that they sang from 2009-2015. I know they had more views on the doo-wop medley and a few others, but they were the first to sing this Bruce Hamby song. It suited their voices and style so very well. I really do believe that they could have had a career singing in some resort town like Branson Missouri. But each went on to pursue her individual career, mostly in vocations other than music. They seem to be living happy lives now.
This video may be 14 or 15 years old. I found one reference to a CD they had in 2010, but the Internet seems to have been "scrubbed" of all references to these very talented girls. How can that be?
I don't know of any incident that specifically caused it. Based on watching them at the end, my guess is that when they decided that they were done producing videos, they just wanted to move on with careers without all of the hoopla. The videos stayed up for a couple of years after that when two of the super fans volunteered to check the comments for the Director. I know one of the girls had some concerns with student reactions while she was a student teacher in the area of music. I don't know of anything more serious than that. At one point the Doo Wop community saw them as the next great girl group in that genre of music. There was a lot of disappointment when they choose not to go professional and that may have caused some of the scrubbing of references. People just need to understand that the group wasn't really established until they were juniors in high school and they had formed their career dreams already. One girl was actually preparing to pursue medical school degree. They performed for two years of high school, four years of college and a couple of more years while some of the girls where in grad school. It was a remarkable run for what was intended to be a high school ensemble to represent their school in competitions. They were surprised and amazed by their success on UA-cam, considering that they never performed live outside of Ontario.
Wow... nada menos que el autor de esta hermosa canción!!!! Gracias por su comentario, definitivamente voy a darme una vuelta por su canal!!! Un saludo 😃🙋🏻♂️
Unfortunately the group for some reason that I don't know split up, and in fact they marked the videos on their UA-cam channel as private and it is no longer possible to see them, as far as I know they are Canadian, 3 of them are doctors and the leading voice of this song Catherine Helferty is a teacher

@@brucehamby7238 Mr. Hamby, I would love to have a link to any other performance of this song of yours out there on YT. I've not been able to find anyone else who's covered your lovely a cappella tune here. Please advise. Thanks, on behalf of all your fans (like me).

They disappeared from UA-cam around July 2021. I have found some links to an archive and plan to try to post them soon for all to enjoy again.
@@donaldkaminski9905 its quite weird, why them closed their youtube chanel
It's not weird. It's life calling. Three doctors and a teacher have other things to do. @@hafizkarim6145
Awesome version! First time hearing this group! Who is singing lead?
