in the gymnasium, under low lights, 1960, shuffling and anticipating, power surging from the 45 rpms on stage and there it is a "Moon out tonight" priceless. thanks..we are still here..!!!!!!!
No instruments necessary. 60s catholic schools taught us kids how to harmonize. In these times we need more of this. I hope after 3 years you still like this stuff. The good lord wants to hear us singing. Thank you for your service
sound just like the Capris! love seeing this a capella - it reminds us that doo wop started on the street corners with neighborhood friends harmonizing *those were the days*
straight kick-butt-talent. No digital anything,no autotune, nothing but 4 beautiful voices. Aaron Neville singing Everybody Plays The Fool.... Maurce Williams & The Zodiacs with Stay.... My fave rave is the original, live on network TV of Unchained Melody by Bobby Hatfield, just awesome talents. I left out some of your favorites, so join in!!😉
These roomates are all English and all there albums are fantastic, there is lots of great European doowop out there now and over the years that are has good as the American doowop groups
I know this is an older video...but these guys truly nailed it. I was born in '48 and grew up with rock and roll and these "street corner" type groups produced some of the best-feeling music ever. So innocent compared to now.
This is great! There were tunnels between buildings where I used to work and some coworkers and I would occasionally go down there and do some songs because of the slight reverb we got. Every time we did the guard would stop and listen to us and compliment us on our sound. I miss those days!!
Amo este estilo clasico, esa magia de no necesitar ningun instrumento ya que sus propias voces lo hacen todo, es un respiro de lo que es la verdadera belleza en la musica y el verdadero talento
Great time to be so lucky to have been able to enjoy the music of that time . I enjoy going back as ND up the memories and take a travel back in time . The memories are fresh like it was just yesterday's !!
You guys did a wonderful job on this song. I grew up hearing the Capris version on a 4-record 60s box set my father had. To this day, I still love the 50's & 60's doo-wop stuff.
Bein from Jersey (South Jersey) I grew up on doowop. I love this music. My mom and dad loved it and I now love it. The music today ( if you can even call it music) is terrible.
I’m from south jersey also. I remember my dad , uncle and his buddies always listening to doo wop and oldies while working on houses. I still listen to this music nowadays.
WOW! Absolutely perfect! This is my parents music and I grew up with it as well thanks to records and 8-Tracks lol! I didn’t love it back in the 70’s, but now it’s always in my music shuffle. It is reminds me of my mom who is no longer with us! Love you mom and thank you for introducing me to the wonderful music of the 1950’s!
This is way way more beautiful and perfected without any instrumentation. Humans are the instrument, we are the construct of music and sound, a byproduct of nature and all its chaos and compassion without judgment, only karma acting upon oneself which is created out of desire
That's what I call "TALENT"! Thanks Guys, for the impromptu a cappella doo-wop ditty, straight from the heart! Jus' an "old fashioned love song" sung once again for you 'n me. Best Ever! LOVED IT ! !
Rmo from 115th street in harlem nyc . these guys sound as good as any group i heard in my neighborhood including the schoolboys the charts the five willows the desires the jesters the channels and others. I am now in new jersey.
I understand you met a friend of mine. Jack Carlson from the Roomates in the USA. Jack passed away, Steve and Bob also. I see you did spell Roomates the same way as they did. Love the way you sing this song! DooWop forever, Lou
Great rendition..You can't understand these Brits when they speak English but the song comes through as pure Brooklyn..

Doowop fan? Shit, you're not alive.
Puts me right back on da block in New York in 1959.....
I can feel the vibration of the harmony from here. When you fell the vibration, you know you got it.
These Brothers killed it.
They gave me chill bumps. WoW!!!
Mere words cannot express how exceptional this is!!!
Holy shit this is awesome acapella Doowop in a corridor by 4 Rockers nothing comes more genuine than this. Keeping the flame of Rock N Roll alive :)

Reminds me of the street corner harmony back on a Brooklyn street in the early 60’s when I was a teenager. Sweet doo wop acapella Harmony 🎶❤️
Always wished I lived in New York back in the day. Used to dream about being a doowop singer they're so good

I follow Steve Roomate great Doo Wop artists
Okay sure, but bro, we came up with this style even as far back as the 40's and thousands of songs later. But yes, this was very nice.

That was just pure, authentic, in your face doowop. Pick the bone's out of that! OMG.
