  • Today, I hand over the reins to my friend and John Danaher black belt, Brian Glick, at Gracie Humaita Cedar Park where I teach. Join us on the mats at Sheepdog HQ for this deep dive into transitioning from defensive sweeps to offensive cycles with a fundamental sweep every student should master. In this session, Brian delves deep into the art of the scissor sweep and transitions into various effective attacks, as well as commentary about a life long pursuit of refining details of fundamental positions.
    🔴 What You'll Learn:
Fundamental principles of the scissor sweep
Key details to execute the sweep with precision
Various attack combinations following the sweep
Advanced insights from one of John Danaher’s first black belt students
Whether you’re a beginner looking to master the basics or an advanced practitioner seeking to refine your technique, this class offers valuable insights and practical tips that can elevate your game.

Brian Glick is an absolute gem to the community. Few people break down jiu-jitsu simpler than he does.

I was lucky enough to be in a class Brian was a part of. I have honestly never seen jiujitsu like it before.
There is a reason all these young world champions give him so much respect.
      🙏

Brian Glick deserves more credit as a bjj master and instructor. Every time I see Mr. Glick teach anything, it's spot on and immediately helps my game. Thanks Giancarlo.

This omoplata is so game changing. Capturing it on the roll through is super underutilized.

Omaplata is my favorite sub becauae of how well it branches off into attacks, you even have leg attack entries off it. Its dope.

No the first sweep I ever learned was the hip bump sweep and all the schools around where I live in the Ozarks generally teach that as well but scissors right up there 👍👍

that is actually really unusable, it never happens, its just theoretical stuff, its like karate if you think your partner is just there for your own agenda...first of all, they will never let you put the leg on their shoulder, they will never let you do the scissor without going backward or catching a leg, and they will never EVER EVER let you push that hand with your knee so you can go into omoplata, are you crazy?! That will never happen...ever...
