    Wow, a vacuum that makes money....one penny at a time. Sorry couldn’t resist. Dust caking on the filter wasn’t a surprise, thanks to your previous curbside finds but glad to see you haven’t lost your touch. Looking forward to seeing reassembly.

    I found that same one in the trash but the one I found had a cut cord to the vacuum and I took it all apart and I brought A new power cord for the vacuum and took the vacuum apart and connect the new power cord to the Hoover Windtunnel 2 Whole House and put the vacuum back together again and the vacuum works and it's all thanks to you.

    All my floors are laminate and when I used the beater bar while barefoot, I can feel the dirt hitting my feet. So I disconnect the spinning bar and narrow the air path a bit with clear packing tape to increase air velocity. This helps my Hoover pick up cat litter granules off the floor better. It works well.

    Thanks for taking time in making this video. Wondering if you could comment on how to clean the FIRST FILTER that is part of DIRT CUP. I am naming the filter that is like a DISC and has BLUE HUE as SECOND FILTER. I can imagine that the FIRST FILTER is for Coarse particulates while the SECOND and THIRD filter (Hepa) is fine and very fine particulates.

    It's funny that so many ppl throw this out. I found mine tossed out at my building. It smelled so badly like dog every time I used it so I just took mine apart several hours ago and washed every part...it was so gross. Now I'm trying to put it back together and the screws aren't screwing so watching this to see if I put something back wrong. Just started the video but had to comment cuz I can't believe people just throw these out. Mine really cleans good. It just stunk and was dirty.

    I see that you soaked the piece that holds the blue filter that can be rinsed. So, I don’t need to remove the 3 screws and be careful of the additional filter inside the plastic cone? I can just soak that entire piece? How long did it take for everything to thoroughly dry? I’m getting a tremendous amount of fine powder every time I vacuum, it’s frustrating and honestly unpleasant knowing that’s in my carpet. I moved in 2 years ago and had it professionally cleaned before I moved in. I’ve never encountered this before in any home.

    How did you remove the clear/white vented plastic cover that goes over the cord rewind? You can see the piece, removed, at 12:54 in the video. I took out the two screws that seem to hold it in, and I have separation from the back piece but somehow it's still held in there. I didn't want to force it and break it, so I'm looking all over to see if I'm missing a screw and I can't find anything!

      Okay. So after watching the other video, I'm thinking I just have to force it off... I don't see any plastic tabs that have to be pressed to release it, and all you did to reinstall was put in the two screws I already have out. So here's to hoping I don't break anything! 🤞🏻 I'm only removing to try to clean the inside of the clear window for better viewing of cord rewind/action. Thank you for the response, your videos are great! I have subscribed with pleasure.

    Amazing tutorial! Question: What did you use to clean the parts in the bath? Was that laundry detergent? Hoover's videos say not to get the internal "cyclonic assembly" wet, but I assume that's just because they don't want you reassembling and running it wet? OR is there something else I need to know about before I attempt to give mine a good deep clean and bath?
    Thanks so much!!!

    • @VacLab
      @VacLab  4 місяці тому

      I usually use Persil. Everything getting wet is fine, but you must quick dry critical parts to avoid issues.

    Negative pressure flow is what many refer to as suction when referring to vacuum cleaners. Positive pressure flow is used to blow ones sidewalk off or across ones face to cool them down on a hot day. With respect to suction one needs flow and negative pressure, cant have one without the other. I don't think anyone is confused by this.

    • @VacLab
      @VacLab  5 місяців тому

      Most are confused by this due to the suction lie being sold currently in false marketing. And FYI, huge amounts of airflow can be paired with miniscule amounts of suction. My lab has conclusively proven that ad nauseum.

    My neighbor that is 97 has this vacuum cleaner its been overheating and burning the belt. I cleaned the top filter out plus washed only installing it after it dried out. The bottom filter I just brushed off and patted it out, I'll have to order that filter if I replace it which I guess its like 14-20 bucks when I looked online it seems to be out of stock, just the filter though. The filter and plastic housing is 20 dollar but she doesn't need the housing for it. I guess at this point I think she might be better off just buying another vacuum. She said she checked all the hoses but I might have to recheck them to be sure maybe that bottom hose as well. I just changed that belt like a week ago and its broke already she didn't even know it was broke till I looked. She called hoover today they told her what to clean out and look for but she is pretty up there in age. She is pretty disgusted at this point with it and wants to buy another one anyways. I think I will take another look at it, I am not really a handy man but I understand it needs to be clean and air needs to flow well. I asked her if she has ever cleaned the filters before she said no, so in the last 7 years she only dumped the bin but never cleaned either filter or changed them. Which makes me think the motor is damaged in a way where its just overheating anyways with airflow being there but I can't really say. If you have any ideas I'll listen to them? I did tell her she needs to make sure she cleans the filters from now on, there is some caked dust inside the cyclone shape plastic I did clean it the best I could seems I will have to wash it to really clean it. I guess there might be clog or hole some where I will just have to look for it more next time.
