Wow. The rumors are true. This game does look insanely gorgeous. The animation, the frame-rate, the colors.. Okay, I'll admit, I'm a bit jealous I don't have a PS5 to enjoy this, myself.
If you’re ever thinking of buying one this game should be the main reason to do so. I’ve finished it twice already and I will finish it many times more, it is that good.

Love the reactions of both Ratchet & Rivet & Clank & Kit meeting each other for the first time. Clank & Kit being calm & able to laugh compared to Ratchet & Rivet being nervous & finding it hard to talk. Both reactions are natural & in character
yeah. No agenda pushing, no Ratchet taking a back seat to show how strong Rivet is and that she can do most of this stuff herself. Just her and Ratchet working toward the same goal, both being strong and capable, yet both being aware that they need to rely on each other to accomplish it.

HOLD UP That's legit amazing On going dialog, but then you do something to cut dialog like go shopping and Rivet is like "One second" leave the shopping menu and dialog resumes. ITS SO SIMPLE but it blows my mind.

This isn’t the first game to do this. They also did this in Uncharted 4 and Spider-Man PS4. It’s a fairly new trend, but it seems to be getting more popular.
As much as I hate getting interrupted IRL, it's great when it's done right in games or series, the usual "but wait I'm not don-" (3.2.1) "... I AM INTERRUPTING YOU!" is always so bad
I freaking loved seeing that, and wish every game did that in some way! I hate seeing one-off dialogue being interrupted and missed/skipped (essentially "lost") when generic battle banter pops up or you go a bit too fast through the area! For example, I was playing Spider-man Remastered on PC and it skipped the remainder of the JJJameson talk show clip because I swung into a fight. Granted, the game has the "positive" of saving those clips to be replayed later, but games like Borderlands 2 have been painful to see NPC/side quest dialogue getting skipped and not being replayable. However, there's been at least once were Spider-Man Remastered did do something to still play that one-off NPC dialogue. I...can't remember if it replayed part of the dialogue (like here) or cut off the battle banter to continue it and kept the dialogue in the subtitles (instead of overwriting it).

While I agree that Kit is the cutest bean that this game has to offer, I don’t like either ship. Mainly because, well, they’re (Ratchet and Rivet, Clank and Kit) each other. It’s like having a relationship with yourself which I find... odd.
I do actually like that Kit's backstory explored Clank's OG backstory of being a defective warbot. I always found it strange that Clank was completing fine just "rebelling" against Drek and was all for Ratchet killing what were essentially his siblings. Granted story wasn't such a big priority at the time, but I appreciate the effort being shown now.
You're not the only one. While there is clearly chemistry between Ratchet and Rivet, there's a lot more left unknown and explorable. I think Clank and Kit have even more chemistry built between them.
Did you notice that Rivet's prosthetic arm was on her left in the first cutscene, but in-game it was on her right? Clank's missing arm was also swapped
@@Lttsumm the whole game. Also you can activate/deactivate this cheat on the fly in the pause menu, so he probably swapped the option during his gameplay.

I wouldn’t exactly say that Ratchet and Rivet are exactly counterparts, she’s just a lombax in another dimension, it doesn’t mean too much, and it’s like Spider-Verse Miles in one reality, Peter in another, Gwen in another, that kind of thing

I can't wait to see Ratchet, Clank, Rivet and Kit in a sequel game where they will find the other lombaxes. I believe Rivet and Ratchet would be a cuter couple than Tawlgyn. It's makes more sense for Ratchet to be with another Lombax. Rivet can be the Cynder to Ratchet's Spyro.

The canon's already weird enough with Insomniac trying to say this is the same canon as the 2016 reboot, even though it follows from the Future games which reference the OG games that the 2016 game contradicts in several ways. They should've just made ToD a soft reboot. Future-onwards Ratchet already has a completely different tone from Classic Ratchet (Kid-focused Pixar tone vs Dry Edgy Satire. I miss the satire honestly), it would've fixed everything.
I really hope Rivet appears in the next game, I really want to see more interaction with these last sole surviving lombax’s they only just got a lit of that near the climax of the game.
Ok, I'm going to say this before the next Smash reveal. (in a few hours) It would be a cool idea to get Ratchet and Clank as the next Smah DLC fighter. And then have Rivet and Kit be an alt. skin, or character swap like Pyra and Mythra.
Well Rivet, Ratchet has already met his Clank, fought and defeated his Nefarious, and saved the universe multiple times. So It’s a safe bet that he’s the original.
I’m one of the most fortunate people on Earth to own this console and this game… …and it really IS that stunning. Holy shit, these are production values you’d find in a top-tier animation studio.

Insomniac seem to have forgotten that RaC 2 happened, which is sad, cause it’s an amazing game. A contender for the best in the entire series. They just ignore Angela’s existence, very sad.
Dang, this game was well made. Great graphics, a good frame rate, likeable characters with expressive facial animations, beautiful animations in general, a really satisfying dialogue interrupting mechanic, and to top it all off, a plot that's engaging, yet not so overbearing as to make it annoying. This is impressive.
Everything about the cutscene where Rivet meets Ratchet and Kit is adorable, and I just can’t handle it! 🥹 Rivet’s so pretty 😍, and it’s so adorable how she gets so awkward and says “I have Clank” and holds him up to Ratchet with a smile. Then when Ratchet notices that Clank’s arm is missing, the way his eyes go soft and the sympathetic way he says “Aw, pal.” Makes my heart melt into a puddle 🫠
Clank fixed up the Dimensionator at the start of the game so Ratchet wouldn't feel so alone in the universe. One mishap later, and Clank found his friend one of the few people in the WHOLE MULTIVERSE who can understand Ratchet's situation. He even eventually gets a robo-buddy of his own to relate to. Too bad you lost your arm, but hey, not too bad overall, Clank.
For the longest time when i heard Jennifer Hale I hear Princess Cinderella Princess Morbucks from Powerpuff Girls and Sam from Totally Spies now after playing Riffed apart I can safely say that Rivet is my favorite of the characters she's voiced.

No actually there different because the game states that rivet and other lombaxes traveled to different universes to get away from danger meaning no rachet and rivet could be together and it won't be weird hope this helped
Everything is epic, but there is one detail that hits me hard. 1:46 Rivet's robotic arm on her left 2:04 Rivets' robotic arm on the right This is a bit fun and disappointing... Like I don't think she can swap a real arm and a robotic between themselves. EDIT: Unlucky it's the "cheat" from menu, but at least swap it even in the game...
Did anyone else see that her robot arm switched sides? When she is talking at the table it is her left arm. When she is in the ship it is her right arm.

@@t-rexcellentreviews1663 Thing is they already confirmed in CiT that Angela was a Lombax (Who Ratchet just apparently forgot about when he said he'd never met another Lombax in ToD). The canon's already weird enough with Insomniac trying to say this is the same canon as the 2016 reboot, even though it follows from the Future games which reference the OG games that the 2016 game contradicts in several ways.
They should've just made ToD a soft reboot. Future-onwards Ratchet already has a completely different tone from Classic Ratchet (Kid-focused Pixar tone vs Dry Edgy Satire. I miss the satire honestly), it would've fixed everything.

Well Rivet, Ratchet has already met his Clank, fought and defeated his Nefarious, and saved the universe multiple times. So It’s a safe bet that he’s the original.
It’s pretty amazing that the in game graphics look as good as a Pixar or Dreamworks movie.
Ratchet and Clank games have always been well done and colorful graphically but this one is stunningly gorgeous.
I like that Insomniac included the whole “pick up where we left off” thing from thing from their Spider-Man games.

Insomniac seem to have forgotten that RaC 2 happened, which is sad, cause it’s an amazing game. A contender for the best in the entire series. They just ignore Angela’s existence, very sad.

Dang, this game was well made. Great graphics, a good frame rate, likeable characters with expressive facial animations, beautiful animations in general, a really satisfying dialogue interrupting mechanic, and to top it all off, a plot that's engaging, yet not so overbearing as to make it annoying. This is impressive.

Rivet’s so pretty 😍, and it’s so adorable how she gets so awkward and says “I have Clank” and holds him up to Ratchet with a smile. Then when Ratchet notices that Clank’s arm is missing, the way his eyes go soft and the sympathetic way he says “Aw, pal.” Makes my heart melt into a puddle 🫠

Clank fixed up the Dimensionator at the start of the game so Ratchet wouldn't feel so alone in the universe. One mishap later, and Clank found his friend one of the few people in the WHOLE MULTIVERSE who can understand Ratchet's situation. He even eventually gets a robo-buddy of his own to relate to. Too bad you lost your arm, but hey, not too bad overall, Clank.

For the longest time when i heard Jennifer Hale I hear Princess Cinderella Princess Morbucks from Powerpuff Girls and Sam from Totally Spies now after playing Riffed apart I can safely say that Rivet is my favorite of the characters she's voiced.

Ratchet and Clank from Rift Apart isn’t the same one like other Ratchet and Clank from Crack In time or going commendable.
I can tell this Ratchet & Clank wasn't rushed unlike the reboot as they have facial emotions instead of being deadpan

No actually there different because the game states that rivet and other lombaxes traveled to different universes to get away from danger meaning no rachet and rivet could be together and it won't be weird hope this helped
