Ahh I loved what you said about writing the second draft in a separate document to stop yourself from settling / keeping passages that should really be changed or cut or improved! That’s such a good point 🤓🤓🤓 I’m going to try that with my next draft!!! I haven’t started my first draft yet, but I’m outlining and doing character work based on how my zero draft went. 💛
yay i’m glad you find that helpful! i’ve learned from my own experiences that that was an issue for me ahaha🤣 also that’s great!! i’d love updates on your writing project status if ur comfortable with that, it’s so exciting that ur working on a new outline based off ur zero draft :) best of luck with it💓
wow congrats not even done a 1st draft ever but this motivates me to know my characters more, draft my story which will be a short story with some drama, mystery and slice of life.
It’s so inspiring to hear you discuss the second draft process! I’m currently finishing up my first draft but I’ve never made it to a second draft on a story before, so seeing all your tips and tricks is so motivating! ♡︎
Good luck! As a writer and beta reader, I know how anxious the prospect of beta reading can be, but don't sweat it. As long as you're willing to work on your story and make it the best it can be, you'll be just fine. Have fun with draft 2!
I'm also in the draft 2 stages! editing while you write is weird compared to just writing, but do you find you like it better than draft 1? I've discovered I'm definitely in the "prefers revising" camp!
I can't wait to experience redrafting a finished project. I haven't finished a chaptered work up until now... I hope I can do it in the upcoming years ☺️
Hi again. Love the new books, which is awesome to get them in America, but not in my country where the prices are crazy high. Congratulations on draft 2, and I just wondering, is this your first book? Thanks again for another interesting vlog, see you again in the next vlog.
thank you patty :) what country are you from again? does amazon ship books to you? also technically no this isn’t the first book i’ve written but it’s the first one i’m counting because my previous one wasn’t drafted and outlined as heavily as this one!
Hi again. Well, I live in south Africa, western cape. And our prices in our country is different from America. You said one of your new books was 12 dollars, well, in my bookshop it can range from 100 rand (R100) or more, depending on the author/book. The bookshop does have specials but the prices are still high. And I work as a waitress, but this month isn't good with tips. That is why I read books from the library, until I saved enough money to get a book that I am after - I have a huge TBR list of books to get, a few of them are from UA-cam authors.
hey vee, loved this video, congrats on starting ur second draft!! 🥳 How is scrivener working for you? I have been thinking of getting scrivener, but my fear is that I won't end up liking it because of how different it is from google docs. I've tried writing on Microsoft word and didn't really enjoy it, so I'm afraid it will end up exactly like that if I use scrivener for the first time.
thanks lollie :) and i had the same fears because i really enjoyed using google docs so far but personally i already like scrivener a lot more!! something useful scrivener offers is a free trial so you can try it out and see if you’ll enjoy it before sticking to it!
i will eventually need some beta readers so that’s very nice of u to offer thank you :)) i don’t yet know how i’ll pick beta readers but when the time comes it’s nice to know i have ur offer!

First of all: I loved your vlog

i love random questions :) i’m a virgo♍️ and tysm!!
Do you need any beta readers? I’d love to help out
