They won 30 slams of the 70 slams between USO 1999 and AO 2017.
That is impressive but still only 42 % of the slams played in this period. Can't be called dominating.
Evert and Navratilova won 35 of the 54 slams between FO 1974 and USO 1987.
Which is 65 % of the slams played in that period. And only that can be called dominating.
And Graf and Seles won 31 slams of the 51 slams between FO 1987 and FO 1999.
Which is still 61 % of the slams played in that period and dominating as well.

Both of the Williams sisters are world-class legends. They are the most important family of tennis and two of the best know athletes in the world. I really wonder if she feels a little sting about her French Open performances . She said she trained on clay for 5 of her formative years. She said she should have won the 1998 French, losing to the eventual champion, Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario; 2009 She lost the QF in a tight match to the eventual champion, 2012 - well we all know what happened there. 2016 she made a video after losing where she was really frustrated and thought she should have won that final . I really wonder if she wishes she could go back and win more French titles.
