It would be cool to do head-to-head return pump battles like you all do for lighting. Key factors that come to mind: 1. Cost 2. Noise 3. Flow (at a given height and plumbing setup) 4. Energy consumption 5. Impact on water temp 6. Ease of maintenance (breakdown to clean) 7. Features
I bought an 8K and I'm blown away at how quiet it is plus the strength. I have a ton of head pressure from my dual Corallife X12 UV Sterilizers and this pump handles it like a champ! I'm so glad I didn't overspend. I also think they had a firmware update that provides a true 0 to 100 range on the pump speed.
Have been using the 8K for couple months now. Like it so far. Good power and good control. It's a lot cheaper than vectra or varios. Now only time to tell if it's as reliable.
That's just a female thread x slip PVC connection. You should be able to find the white ones like that at most big box hardware stores. Even better, you can use a thread x slip union so that you can easily detach the pump from any plumbing for cleaning. www.bulkreefsupply.com/schedule-80-union-slip-x-thread.html
It will depend on what turnover rate you're shooting for, but the 6k should get the job done just fine. Of course, you could go with a larger size and turn it down to meet your needs and give yourself a bit of flexibility. www.bulkreefsupply.com/jump-dc-6k-controllable-return-pump-maxspect.html

Awesome design, This thing looks cool as hell,
i have this pump! they're quiet AF!
So on their website, the Imperial and Metric measurements don't match. Can someone please tell me which one is correct?
Got my 10k model on Thursday. And removed it Saturday. So Dame noisy. Really whines. It's going back. Shame. Really liked the look of it..
Where i can get the white fitting?
