All simming tools and the in-game descriptions suggest that the specialisation skill affects the turret, not the ammunition, just like for all other weapon systems.
The Veles has better damage scaling than T2 unless you get the specialisation skill quite high. Even then the difference is minimal, and the Veles has many other stats that make it a realistic choice even at max skills. The range is higher, the cap usage is less, the fitting is more forgiving and you can overheat it for longer before burning it out.
Which is better? Depends on your skills and your choice of fit. T2 has the highest damage-cheese-potential (short of Zorya's) and is cheaper, Veles is better or equal in all other respects.

Its true all weapon specialist skills only activate if you use a t2 weapon plus t2 ammo so say you have a t2 missile launcher it will only get the skill effect if you use t2 ammo navy will not count

nergal excels in burner missions , one ship all burner is pretty neat

Not a contradiction, but an clearification/addition: The Specialization Skill affects also the type of turret you can fit, wich each has its own stats. In short, all Turrets above or equal Meta Level 5 can use T2 ammo , but you need to have the specialization skill to get both (and for the "cheap" Meta Level 5 you have no choice at all). For the Triglavian turrets you can look up the blueprint of the Veles turret and you will see, that it is based on the T2 turret, so you need a T2 turret in the first place to build the Veles. Wich makes the classification (Faction is higher than T2) of the Meta Level system especially clear to see, i think. Fly safe!
So, to clarify, Specialisation DOES affect ammo in the Veles?

So, the Specialization lets you use the T2 ammo in the Faction Veles, but you loose the benefits of the skill because the Veles has not the requierment any more.. You can use the Veles without it, but than you are limited to T1 Ammo. So, like yourself it is the best to use the Veles with the skill, so you have a wider range to choose your smmo for the occasion. It´s not one or the other, the skill has 2 affects, its a gatekeeper for T2 Ammo at large, and its a booster to the T2 turret itself.
In the strictest sense, no, it dosent boost your damege in the Veles with T2 ammo, but it lets you use it at all.The skill in its damage-boosting ability only affects turrets who have the requirement for this Skill.
@@captainbenzie no it does not tested it out on veles for the iki one time with skill lvl 1 and one time with skill lvl 2 and there was no dmg increase. that means if not a bug it just work for t2 cause like the skill say for modules who require and not ammo.
on top of it i think t2 would be better if it work as i think on 0.02 dmg so when the 10% goes from the 1,2 dmg modifire to goes to 1,32 and veles stays at 1,3. u can see it cleary while simulating the fit and test it out. means the only bonus u get is a slightly longer range and a higher prize and lower cpu etc
When a frigate is so good it receives a full review and not just a wormhole focused one… you NEED to check it out

I love the triglavian ships I'm skilled into every one except the dread but I don't entirely know how to fit them for anything other than pve but I'd like to try tackling the pvp aspect but a bit anxious since they are very expensive ships to buy and manufacture and I've only ever done a bit of pve and fleet mining in a orca
I'm hoping to PvP more soon!!
I'd honestly would love to fly triglavian ships, but still no where near to even skilling into it yet, the best small ship I can fly is the worm.

Totally worth the sp and isk.
Most of the skills you have for the Punisher will benefit it too - just need Precursor Frigate V, Small Precursor Weapon, and Assault Frigate IV.
The tech-2 triglavian ships are not native to the triglavian empire, they're the results of edencom experimentation on captured T-1 triglavian ships. Therefore, they're hybrids of triglavian and edenese technology.
The naming scheme may point to the empire that helped develop them. The draugr could have been modified by the minmitar considering it's norse naming scheme and role as an offensive buffer/healer.
The nergal might be of gallente extraction considering the gallente have used babylonian gods to name their ships before (ishtar, arazu, etc.)

@@captainbenziethe ship descriptions literally mention what corporation modified what ship, possibly as a method for informing doctrine from edencom.
The nergal is made by roden, who make gallente ships based most off of onboard weapons. They're close-in brawlers like the Nergal.
The draugr by thukker mix. Thukker ships are glass cannons, so the draugr can serve as the entire defense and logistics of a thukker frigate gang.
The Ikitursa is caldari in origin, specifically ishukone, and the caldari are implied to be finnish in the same way the gallente are french. It's a glass cannon with a longer range on it's disentigrator than normal, fitting ishukone's obsession with sniping.
The Zarmazd is amarr, carthum to be specific. Carthum makes all of the amarr logistics ships, fitting the zarmazd's role as a dedicated healer.
That ship looks amazing! I'm more of an explorer though. Are there any unique ships for that aren't clones of the starter faction aside from the sister's ship?
Explorers that aren't just hull upgrades of the T1? Yes, there's the Astero, as you mentioned, but also the Metamorphosis, and Pacifier as frigates (done videos on both) alongside the Sunesis, Stratios, and Gnosis.

How is the Nergal compared to other small gun ships like the Kikimora or the Confessor in a WH wolf-rayet environment?
Very similar. Kikimora tends to win there, but the Nergal is a speedier little beast and has the advantage of things like smaller size still and the ADC module.
If you're minmaxing, then Kiki is likely better, but not by so much that the Nergal isn't worth flying if you like it 😊

Tbh, C4s are pretty good, just long distance spawn points make for a LOT of travel time 😂
@@captainbenzie you learn how to bypass most of the travel time threw trial and error. The hands down best is drauger hecite. Nothing compares to these two ships teaming mjding around the c4 wolfs. Would love to see a video on it.

Don't bother grinding that, it is way too expensive for what it does. Its big brother the Kikimora is much cheaper, stronger, and versatile, it is used in lots of fleets.
The purpose of this video isn't to say what's best, but to showcase ways to have fun.
I love the Kikimora to pieces, but not everyone has, or wants, destroyer skills. They might even just prefer the look of the Nergal 😊
