In this lengthy video I go over how to make Vox style videos by highlighting some of the techniques they use. More specifically, we will be working with the 3D camera in After Effects and use it to animate articles, timelines, and a lower third. The point of this video is to teach how you can utilise some of the simplest features in After Effects to tell a story. I want to emphasise that I don’t think you should straight up copy what Vox or anyone else does BUUT there is a lot you can learn through replicating and testing out new techniques.

Hey Mapal, you got great skills bro. I'd love to see how you organise larger projects. Like match cuts, how to transition between scenes easily whilst following the movement just general organisation of a whole project. That'd be really useful coz it's easy to get bogged down in that kind of stuff. Peace

If you’re referring to the transition I use when I cut from the intro to the tutorial then it’s just a film burn overlay!

@@anthonyjoseph6551 Oh. It's fairly straight forward. The background is just a blue background and an animated texture from texturelabs. The text just has a simple wiggly animation to each character and then deep glow on top of it!
If you don’t mind , what’s your studio setup ? And are you using OBS to display both your face and the monitor screen ? Only asking as your LUTS and your coloring is really well made.
I record my face, screen, and audio separately. I use OBS to record my screen and then I sync up everything in editing. I found this workflow resulted in better quality and more control. I could record everything in one track but I like the flexibility too much haha

Thank you and good question! In this case I worked with 3D layers and a 3D camera so I could create some depth of field! Hopefully that answers your question
