  • Kamen Rider Revice has come to a close! Boasting one of the most unique premises in the form of Kamen Rider Revi and Kamen Rider Vice as dual protagonists, a family of Kamen Riders, and crazy demon siblings, there was a lot to look at in this season! With it's conclusion, why don't we take a look back at the show and talk about why I think Kamen Rider Revice isn't as great as it seems...Be sure to let me know what you thought down in the comments!

It was just such a fun adventure for me to watch throughout this past year, whether it was the igarashi sibilings dynamics with one another, seeing their relationships with their demons change, seeing the developments of the Fenix VS Weekend war about the route that humanity should take, or even just fight scenes. It all rocked and makes Revice hold a special place in my heart as something that made a rather difficult Junior year of high school for me just a little bit better. Currently my eighth favorite Kamen Rider show of the eighteen I’ve watched fully.

One of my biggest complaints about Daiji and Kagerou, and one that not a lot of people comment on, is that Kagerou forced Daiji to kill him. Daiji even states that he wished he could befriend Kagerou like his siblings befriended their demons, but Kagerou forced his hand by endangering others when he hijacked his body. That entire episode felt like Kagerou risking his own life to empower Daiji, but he didn't tell him or anyone that was his plan, he manipulated Daiji to get rid off him. So Daiji's corruption arc completely falls flat to me because it's all about him learning something he already knew. He didn't ruthlessly kill Kagerou out of a selfish desire to rid himself of his demon, Kagerou forced him into it. And because of it, Daiji lacks complete agency in his own storyline and his arc falls flat.
The writers also stated in an interview that they had no plans for Daiji after he killed Kagerou, and you can tell.

I really think that the point of making Ikki disappear in pictures is irrelevant to his memory loss. Normally this kind of thing often signaling someone’s presence being removed from such moments like erased from timeline Den-O kind of thing. I mean if it’s like only Ikki can see it but everyone else in the house can’t see, makes the whole point better and subtle that no one in the house can tell what’s going on with Ikki, only he and Vice knows what’s going on. But then they decided to make it all visible to everyone so that they can tell what’s going on, it’s less impactful

One of my favorite aspects about Revice was the creative aspects taken with the Riders. With all the human riders having an inner demon tied to them, they could do so much more than if they had used just normal human riders. Love the family aspect, ikki and vice are an endearing pair and this is probably the best we've ever had it for female riders. The season wasn't perfect they fumbled the ball with daiji's character alot I feel like if aspects were rewritten and cleaned up it could have been a really good character journey. George becoming Juuga on the other hand was just a complete misstep way too drastic turn near the end (there's implication of the devil put inside him being involved who also appears in the movie but if the actual set up was in said movie that would be a really dumb writing choice) so I'm glad there was two more episodes so the show could go out on a heartwarming bittersweet ending with a very unique final fight.

I am so impressed of the writing of this show. It may not be flawless, but surely is the strongest (writing-wise) among the Reiwa series. Emotions are well put, cinematography is amazing and I like how the side characters aren't just side characters. They are an integral part of the story and each of them has their own arcs. Though one of the most prominent criticisms of mine is that there are times that the side characters are given too much unnecessary focus (looking at you Hikaru) and overshadow the main protagonist. They could've cut some of those out and put them to parts that are needed like the Juuga arc. Overall, it was very nice. A solid 7.5 - 8/10.

In my opinion, Revice is a good rider show, it definitely didn't reach the expectations i had with it, it had incredible moments to it, i loved everything in regards to the first half while not being perfect, the family stuff is also really good my biggest problem with it is that it gets sidelined for a long amount of time, while the Trio were intriguing villains (Olteca overall being my favorite character) Akaishi taking the mantle didn't capture me at all, Genta and Vail's storyline could have played a huge role in the story but it's just sidelined until it gets completely touched upon 42, and the Juuga episodes worsened my opinion of this series, but was salvaged with an ending i was satisfied with, the Igarashi Siblings are some of my favorite characters in the franchise due to their arcs, yes even Daiji, LOVEKOV Forever.
Oh and Hiromi is also a great character.

Tbh, I'll always consider that Kamen Rider Revice is ridiculously The Penthouse: War in Life (makjang's k-drama) but with Giff's influence. I mean, every element from Revice are damn related to Penthouse, especially Revice's OP (if y'all understand the lyrics). If y'all watch Penthouse from season 1 to 3, then I'm only gonna tell y'all about Igarashi siblings:
    - If y'all asking "What will happen if Bae Ro-na and Min Seol-ah are the besties?", then the answer is this: the dynamical bonding between Ikki Igarashi and Vice. The reason is simple: Ikki, Ro-na, and Seol-ah shared the personality like kindness, nosiness, and not giving up until the end although they doesn't care about themselves (somehow their face are look-a-like). I think the concept of "Buddy Up!" system in Revice Driver is influenced by Ro-na and Seol-ah's friendship that sadly we have never seen it in Penthouse because (spoiler alert and confirmed) Seol-ah's death on season 1.
    - I found something intriguing about Daiji Igarashi/Kagerou and Ha Eun-byeol. Kagerou takes over Daiji's body and goes berserk to the siblings (sometimes everybody) is somehow related with Eun-byeol goes psycho to Ro-na. I think it's caused by their jealously. Also, their righteousness between Daiji and Eun-byeol are very weak just because their unstable emotion.
    - There's a thing to say about Sakura Igarashi and Joo Seok-kyeong. They just have to be invicible but Seok-kyeong is way worse than Sakura.
I think that's my thoughts about Igarashi siblings. I hope y'all enjoy Revice as well even-though there's up-and-downs just like Penthouse and always #NiceVice!

I definitely liked this show, but I doubt I’m gonna end up identifying with when compared to other seasons.
I agree with most of your opinions. The family aspects were really great, and this should have been a smaller scale show than the previous couple seasons. I don’t mind the increase of Riders, but they weren’t all handled the best, especially because, as you said, they just get sidelined. I like most of the characters and stories, but there are a bunch of more minor things that I didn’t like.
I wasn’t a fan of the toy line. I like the idea of stamps as a gimmick, but I didn’t like their designs or the designs of the belts. I also hated how most of the toys were Premium Bandai. It’s ridiculous.
I really didn’t like Revi and Vices forms. They were pretty ugly most of the time. The first arc forms were handled extremely poorly. They have like 10 side forms, but none of them are uniquely different from each other, except for the ones that turned Vice into vehicles.
I really hated how wishi-washi they were with Sakura and Hana. It got to the point where I don’t care if they’re a couple or normal friends, just pick one and commit to it.
Like I said, I like this show, especially where it really counts, which is why I would give it a recommendation, but it has problems that kept me from loving it.

I honestly think the Vistamps couldve worked better if Ikki earned the stamps in the same way that mirrored the Riders who posessed the form that Ikki was wearing.
Lion: Ikki realizes that he has seemingly mundane skills that could cheer other people (i.e. juggling)
    Ptera: Protecting other peoples dreams.
    Megalodon: Using your power responsibly
Mammoth: Friends and teammates are invaluable
Brachio: Ikki makes the most of the seemingly limmited time he may have on this planet.
Kamakiri: How we use our power
Eagle: Give Ikki a chance to flex his intelligence and solve an in show mystery alongside Vice in the same vein of Shotaro and Phillip
Jackal: Maybe involve a Deadman with the ability to suck others into screens, and maybe one of his siblings get stuck in a video game and the Jackal Stamp allows Ikki to access the screen.
Gorilla: Friends and family have your back

I pretty much agreed with everything you said, both positive and negative. While it doesn't crack my top 5, I still loved Revice. It's tied with Zero-one for my favourite reiwa series. Ikki and Vice are enjoyable protagonists and i loved their evolution. Daiji, while rushed during the final arc, was still enjoyable enough and had he gotten enough focus he could have been a really interesting characters. Even though it felt added on and out of nowhere, I really enjoyed George's villain arc as it brought up some interesting themes of feeling like you're being controlled by your parents. I won't try to defend Giff, he was underwhelming as heck but having the final battle between the two protagonists was worth it for me. Genta was also my favourite character for reasons I dont need to explain. Considering it was his first rider season, I think Hanta Kinoshita did a pretty good job and once he gets the hang of writing for Rider, I look forward to seeing his future work. I thought it'd trip, and it did, but at the time it was just non-stop great episode after great episode for what essentially almost half the entire show. Then after Holy Wing the show just slowly declined in quality and tripped, as expected. Not the most original take, but also I feel it wasn't quite as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. Though 37 (iirc) was definitely a flat out bad episode and was just super contrived. Holy Wing was meant to be the final form and Evilty Live wasn't planned, but I'm glad they added it and kinda salvaged Daiji's arc as well as the ending. The Juuga arc could've and should've been longer. You can basically remove Akaishi and make it Vail or at least more Vail focused and lead into Destream more seemlessly as opposed to Destream's debut basically putting the plot on hold. This would probably make more room for Juuga. I'm honestly just really biased and disappointed such a cool suit and George got shafted like that. While Revice definitely has issues I genuinely feel the modern Rider toy quota really hurt Revice. Towards the end this feels really noticeable when they introduce Shoebill, Tricera, Buffalo, Aguilera, Destream, Demons Troopers, and Crimson Vail all in relatively rapid sucession. I think the writer and/or the producers or whoever tried to push it back as long as they could which is why that happened. Holy Wing might have been due to this too, and that messy arc was all they could think of to satisfy the toy quota. Overall, it started amazing got ok and was "good but not great" at the end. I definitely agree it had too much going on which was its downfall, but what hurts the most is the first half miraculously balanced it all which gave me hopes they could keep up the juggling act.

I feel like you missed some critical story elements that help kinda supplement why certain characters act that way. Like how Daiji was sticking with Akaishi’s plan even after being shown that there’s still a chance to save the world is more of a commitment to his decisions being a by-product of his guilt of killing Kagero. It’s the main reason why Daiji is able to forgive himself because Kagero wasn’t totally gone and was always by his side. Another point would be George, and his way of grieving with his father passing away. He’s lashing out in anger and frustration because he never got to tell his father his true feelings and had this image that he was a horrible parent. Final thing is for Tamaki and Hana becoming riders is showing them reaching the final stages of their redemption arc and officially joining the humans side against the demons. I don’t know if you left those parts out because you genuinely forgot or thought they didn’t matter or whatever the case may be. But, to say that those moments were wasted and characters are thrown into the background I feel is a little disingenuous.

Kinda bummer that the George villain arc wasn't well built. Like, Idk, maybe throw in a plot twist that Giff was somehow survived after Ultimate Revice finisher, and then possessed George and brought his feeling towards his dad for the final fight, only for Giff to give a wholesome goodbye at the end after battling the Revice duo for the last time and left them in peace after understanding things from humans that made him very amused.

I really didn't care for the story towards the end so I was watching it just for the sake of finishing it, but the one thing I never stopped loving in the show was the relationship and dynamic between Ikki and Vice and how much Vice had grown (seriously he's the most selfless character), so the last two episodes really made me feel an emotion I didn't expect to feel at all for this show. I'm happy that they didn't immediately revive him either. I agree when you say that it was the perfect ending a for show like this, and had this show stayed small scale it would have been a lot better. One of my favourite endings to Kamen Rider despite not liking the season THAT much.

I feel like they didn't really ruined Karizaki's character arc. He was always have a beef with his father even after they made up during the giffard rex vistamp. And to top it off his father put a demon of him to Karizaki, hence what i feel really broke him apart. He never felt like a villain at the end, more like a broken hearted man who despise his own father, and Ikki's final fight against him just a way for him to help Karizaki out as how he did with Daiji before. I love the ending of the fight where Karizaki finally let go of the hatred and accept his honest feelings - he really wished his father never left him.
I like the fact that other kamen rider seemingly can be used by many person. It creates a vibe that kamen rider is a weapon, not like a magical suit given to s specific person. And in the early arc I don't feel like the changing form really is a reward more like how saber is and how kamen rider geats actually is, different form grants different weapons or fighting capabilities against their current enemies. But power ups form really needs to be something that is earned just like the barid rex and volcano vistamp (forgot the name of the suit). But ultimate revice really do feels quite lacking. Even Saber has to get fight and convinced his friends to join him, showing his worthiness, improving his swordskill, all little steps which in the end led to the final form. Way more worth it.
Yes the scale definitely should be smaller and closer to the family aspect of the show. Although i argue revice never actually left the family theme but the general huge scale of the show really needs to be toned down a lot. Maybe instead of Giff generally just wants to destroy the world , the focus should be on him wanting the Igarashi family specifically to help him destroy the world. Maybe they should tone down the amount of Gifterian in an episode. Maybe it should be Olteca backstabbing Giff and be the actual final boss. His arc already feels closer than Giff really was.
Finally, Vice. I just love him. Obnoxious but really entertaining. Some people may get annoyed by him, but i feel like he isnt really that annoying. Really love how Vice just seemingly be the comic relief and really did make the final episode of him feeling guilt and emotional but masked with laugh feels genuinely heartbreaking.
P/s : I cried on the Karizaki emotional scene and Vice's second last and the final episode gosh i love them both

Everyone keeps saying George should have been possessed by Giff but that would ruin the Juuga arc even more imo. I think the best way to look at Juuga is its George processing grief. After Masumi died, you can tell George regretted not being able to say goodbye or find closure, it was obviously eating him up. Juuga was a result of a mental breakdown from George, feeling the need to disavow anything related to Masumi. I think it's great for Rider to try and tackle serious issues like grief and mental health, and just going "he's evil because bad guy" goes against pretty much every message in Revice.

    *What I liked about Revice:*
    -Dynamic between Ikki and Vice
    -George Karizaki
-Despite being 50th Anniversary, it wasn't essential to the plot compared to Decade/Zi-O.
-While Aguilera and Tamaki stopped being villains, they still have some relevancy within the season.
    -Genta vs Vail
    *What I disliked about Revice:*
-Kamen Rider Demons (Rider itself, not the users). Felt it didn't have enough presence and being some Title that you can pass onto whoever's worthy.
    -Oretca should've stayed dead.
-Without Kagero to balance his justice and resolve, Daji became unlikeable at the time.
-Weekend is fairly forgettable aside from Masumi and development of Demon Troopers.
    *Honorable Mention(s):*
-Giff. Hardly a Big Boss with character rather a Force of Nature which I guess isn't so terrible.
-I kinda want Yukimi as a Kamen Rider but that would've make sense to the plot.
_FINAL VERDICT:_ Huge Improvement after what happened with Saber. Though I agree with Tokucast, Kamen Rider really needs to step up their game.

Then we spent 10 episodes on a very dumb Evil Daiji arc, then the main villain is killed with barely any effort, then we had daddy issues. I know it's hard to plan out everything with shows like this but you should at least have an outline for the major story beats and it's extremely obvious they didn't do that for the second half of the show.

I really liked the season. Maybe because, I watched it in batches or where the certain plot points end.
My take away is the name Revice was simply the word play Revise. This was simple yet, I only fully understand it in the end. Technically, each character had a role to fulfill while yes there are too many subplots. They were there to show that a role(contract) can be played through it's end but the option for change or revision is open.

For me personally, Kamen Rider Revice is my 2nd favorite season, sceonded only by Kamen Rider Gaim for quite a few reasons. I don't really have any complaints about it. I like how family was one of the main central themes of the season. The suit designs I thought were all pretty good and I like the references to past seasons. And the opening theme when it was first played was amazing. The story I didn't have much of a problem with especially with thelast two episodes. That fight between Ikki and Vice was so different from the usual final fight of the season in Kamen Rider to me. The only real problem I had with the show was that Giff didn't really seem like he was that powerful of a final villain (in my opinion).

When it comes to Kamen Rider Juuga Arc, I feel like they should have made Giff possess George so that he could develop the ultimate Rider system, Juuga Driver, so that he could defeat the Igarashi family. Or, maybe they could have made Chic, Masumi's inner demon who is one of the main villains of Battle Familia movie, he passed down to George possess him to be the final boss Juuga so that save him, but at the cost of Vice dying so that he could save Ikki and his memories. Or maybe they could have made Chic a major villain by revealing that when Masumi first discovered the Giff Vistamp, it awakened Chic inside Masumi who influenced him to develop the Rider system and making Junpei/Genta into awakening Vail and becoming a Kamen Rider, and working behind the scene. He could have been also be the one who assisted Akaishi as well since Chic was the one who assisted Azuma/Kamen Rider Daimon and Azuma and Akaishi were working with Giff together.

2:00 Hey nice of you putting Kamen Rider Fifteen here! He's also one of my favorite Riders especially legacy gimmick-wise and I wish I could see him more in the future as a heroic Rider, especially on the Gaim 10th Anniversary. (And hopefully a team-up of Fifteen, Decade, Zi-O, and Revice as legacy gimmick users XD)
Now that aside, Kamen Rider Revice quickly became my favorite Reiwa Rider show ever since the rumors announced that they would use a mixture of Legend Riders and Animals, especially the Megalodon and Brachio Genomes.
The first time I heard that Revice would be about Devils made me think that Revice would be basically Kamen Rider + Doom, in which it came close during the show's 1st half but kinda dropped hard in the 2nd half of the show.
I have to disagree on your opinion of the 1st half, however. First of all, the mystery aspect remained strong during that time. I remember people had been speculating who's the real identity of Kamen Rider Evil. They had been assuming it was Hiromi due to the cinematography implying him to be one, but it was later revealed to be Daiji's devil, Kagerou.
Not only that, Hiromi had went through a great length of growth that he became the show's MVP, and that he was hardly shoved into the background even if it seemed like so. I mean, he basically carried and drive the entire show himself! XD
First, he went from a disgraced soldier to an esteemed commander and later mentor, then he transformed into Demons one last time to snap out Daiji, and he also led to the discovery of George's drawings that would help quell the latter's depression. If that doesn't count as carrying the show, idk what else is, and he wasn't even planned to survive from episode 1 in the first place!
And let me tell you, the show REALLY suffered when it lost Hiromi, Kagerou, and Orteca as they're one of the fun factors of Revice. It was a dark time indeed when the show did too much stalling and shoving many unplanned plot points during the 2nd half, from Vail being relegated to a spin-off instead of the show proper, Hikaru being Over Demons early due to his agency's pressure, Tamaki being blatantly stalled from having his own Rider form despite having enough development to become one, and even Kamen Rider Aguilera, Evilyty Live, and Invincible Jeanne.
What I also dislike the most is how most of Revice's toys are P-Bandai items instead of retails, especially the Vistamps, Libera Driver, and the Week Endriver that had minimum features and had been regulars for the show. Like, don't you think it's so anti-consumer?
Despite my grievances on the show, I still like Revice more than Zero-One and Saber. It had good moments that are worth rewatching, the family aspect was strong, and I also love how they implement the legacy gimmick on the toys. It had so many awesome ideas and potentials that I wish could've been better utilized back then had it not been for the unreasonable demands of Bandai to sell more toys.
    FINAL SCORE: 8/10
Once again, I'm sending my prayers so that there would be a team-up special of Decade, Zi-O, Revice, and Fifteen as legacy gimmick users. Maybe with Fifteen's story being retconned away from the Showa vs Heisei movie since I've been cursing that movie with all my breath. May it all come true.

Tv-Nihon's forum ripped this season apart so I'm glad this video proved I wasn't going crazy. I loved Revice. The latter two thirds more so than the first.
The show did have a bunch of elements crammed together in the end like you said, but I think they did the best with what they had. George's crisis was believable in my opinion (feel free to disagree) because I put myself in his shoes. A brilliant mind, using demon research to help save the world only to feel completely betrayed by the very reason you used that tech in the first place? And he's BLOOD? I totally understand his descent. I didn't say I agree with it, though. His actions ultimately lead to Ikki having to make the ultimate sacrifice. Could it have been done better? Yep! But as far as how Revice presented itself with the hodgepodge of ideas it had to juggle, I'm calling this season a win.

I agree a lot with Thomas's opinion with the first part of the season. I was barely able to stick with, as there was a lot of plot holes (*cough* Revice some how using the ZI-O stamp *cough*) and some parts just didn't interest me. Wish they made the Vistamps a bit more of a in-series threat at the start, and then flesh out their usage. Like I have so many questions. Like how come Kagero can just summon Daiji like Vice when they share a body? How come that wouldn't work for Jack-Revice? Then how come demons can just absorb Vistamps out of no where (Vail)? What's so bad about Revice using the Proto stamps, because George only told Ikki off for using it and nothing came from it?
But apart of my numerous questions, I really enjoyed the later half of the series when I turned my brain off. I would honestly say Revice is an amazing series if they just changed a bit around, like giving Giff more of a character, or overhauling the whole Overdemons thing.

George could’ve been using Fhenix and Deadman to create his own Rider show, providing stamps and belts to the riders and demons to Giff, then when Giff is destroyed reveal that he has all the data/power he needs to become Juuga.

I'm honestly a bit sad Revice didn't have the full family becoming rider. Hell i would've been content with the Igarashi family being the only riders in the show (+ Hiromi). Like god the battle would've been really fun if all of them turn into a rider. Sakura and Ikki charging forward recklessly while Daiji being the one sibling that has all the braincell and Yukimi telling them not to be too reckless while Genta would probably be fine with it. Genta and Yukimi fight like a lovey dovey couple while the siblings comment how embarrassing that is. Like, man, that would've been so good to see.
Also, I feel like the reason why every interaction between the family is enjoyable, probably is because Kinoshita previous works mostly slice of life-ish + comedy. Hell, one of his work is about 5 family members Kazoku Gokko) and probably his inspiration when it comes to Revice families story. Two of the member even 2 sisters that always against each other, do you know who else are like them? Sakura and Hana.
The dude know his way around these types of things, that's why we got great scenes such as Ikki and Sakura kicking Daiji with no guilt whatsoever and smiling/excited if Kagerou will come out (what a siblings goal

Revice to me had a nice build up, it was amazing in the middle, and kind of toppled at the end. It would of been cool to see Vice, Lovekov and Kagerou at as a dysfunctional sibling trio. Also, I think they tried to make too many characters important.

I read somewhere (read tv tropes) that Hiromi was supposed to die...with George being the user for Demons for the show.

He was, he was supposed to die when he failed to transform and he'll probably be forgotten as another one of the people who died in the premier but they loved the Actor's audition enough for them to change it.

The family aspect isn't thrown away ikki family isn't profect it has a dark past but this still comes together mystery of revice is the family background and the other characters family mirror ikkis family some have single parents some try to find a family some don't have a family some lost there family some hate there family member george wanted to have to have more time with his father he hates his father's creation and he hates that he followed his footsteps anger clouded his mind he didn't realise that his father loved him and it took his friends to show him the light
george hiromi tamaki ortaca hikaru hana giff akashi and the other characters of week in the first half all reflect ikki family and
ikki and sakura daiji and there demons help them and help each other so revice never throw away the family aspect it always had it

I will agree when I say that Revice definitely had a lot of problems going for it, be it with random riders, unresolved issues, and characters changing perspectives, but even with all of that, Kamen Rider Revice is one of, and actually might be, my favorite season.
As a 50th anniversary, it’s alright. I feel like the movie and specials handled that better, which I’m fine with. But as it’s own thing, I enjoy this family story. As an older brother myself, I related SO MUCH to Ikki more then I have any other Rider, because honestly me and Ikki are very similar personality wise. I love Igarashi Family. Daji kinda pissed me off during the whole Akashi mess, but he’s still a cool rider for me. I just wish he got a little more, same with Kagerou. Sakura has become my favorite female rider. She stole the show for me and my heart since the beginning and her whole story as the family little sister, learning to accept her own weakness to get better, and her sisterhood with Hana, was honestly really cool to look at. Genta’s story as a normal dad, learning the truth about Vail, and all that leading to Destream, one of my favorite suits and favorite rider/rider moments, his relationship with Yukimi, was just so great to look at! When it comes to the other characters, I like them all to. I’m happy where things when with Tamaki, even him becoming Over Demons I’ll be it if late, Hana’s journey through the show was really engaging and I didn’t mind her becoming a rider, Hiromi was cool tho I wish there was more things him and that they found a way for him to be Demons again, and George is my favorite character of this show! His love for Kamen Rider, his relationship with his father, and how that all ends with him breaking down, really got to me.
The Villians outside of Vail I’d say are the weakest element to me. I did like Akashi a little bit, but he and Gifu did disappoint me, especially when so much could have been explored with him. Like, where did Gifu come from? We know thinks to Beyond Generations that he’s not the only big demon out there, so I would have liked to have meet more or learned more. Again, Vail was honestly the only good villian for me.
But I will say, the ending really got to me. The relationship between Ikki and Vice, seeing how it started to where it ended up, was probably my favorite journey in this whole show. It was the thing that kept me enjoying this show the most, and I don’t feel like my time was wasted. By the end, I felt like a member of the Igarashi Family, and I will miss all of them

One of Revice's biggest sins was not using their insert themes more often when their certain power up forms were used.

I had no problem with Juuga, 'cause it was a way, if a bit clumsy, of having George deal with his grief and his unresolved feelings for his dad. Their relationship is, in contrast to Ikki's relationship with his own dad, extremely toxic and unhealthy. So when "Daddy" dies, is reasonable that George would not deal with it in a healthy way.
The last couple of episodes are wonderful, very emotional and down to that family relationship that was the core of the show, and which, when it was the forefront of the plot elevated everything.
Of the season, I think it's by far the better way to have an anniversary, by having hints and nods to previous seasons, particularly in the Rider forms, but tell its own story and not, say, raise Decade from the grave for umpteenth time.
I agree with your points on the first arc and I add to it that I wish the Deadmans had received more development. Like this is supposed to be a big cult, but aside from the initial 3 leaders, there really isn't much to them, and hell this could have been used to better bridge the gap to Akaishi.
I really enjoyed Daiji's spiral. It reminded me of an old D&D book called The Book of Exalted Deeds, which is all about "Extreme Good" and it shows how nasty Good can be when it's extremist. And Daiji coming close to becoming a monster by his own sense of righteousness I felt was just amazing. Being so sure that your cause is right that you have no problems with sacrificing people and killing your own brother? Oh yeah, that's a nice angle.
Also, I'm 100% certain that George and Hiromi are dating, and no one can convince me otherwise.

If I had seen how the finale would gone I would have George like like get possessed or like gift left like a part of himself in George endured and that demon controlled him through the belt he made ads like a Spare just in case the release driver gets badly damaged

I could honestly say that the anniversary aspect was only used very loosely. Kind of in the same vein as Gaoranger, Zyuohger, Ohranger.

My main issue with revice is how Hikaru became a rider and was useless throughout his whole time using it only being useful in 2 occasions and every other time he henshined he got his ass kicked

I think your being way to hard on the juuga arc. I think it was handled well George was clearly upset when he found out that his dad put his own demon in him. And when he was ready to forgive his dad as he layed dieing he narrowly missed his chance. So he poured his anger sorrow and grief in making the juuga driver and surpass his dad. The only reason why they forgive him so "suddenly" is A Time constraints and B They understood he was lashing out because he was hurting. Which is why finding out everything his father made for the rider system was based on ideas his soon drew. The rider system wasn't something his dad made and George improved it was something they had created togther and saved the world with.

I belive. For George’s character I did hate him becoming evil. Cause yeah his character development.
But for me I Believe George change was because of him not understanding how to grieve his father‘s death. I Believe he made the rider system to one up of his father. Even though he was dead he wanted to just shows everyone he was better and never needed them and his father.
That’s why for George he cried at the end of the arc after seeing he and his father drawing it reminded him that it was both of their work together as father and son . Also how his father made all of this based of George design
Yeah it’s lazy writing for the reason it started but i think it kinda makes sense near the end of it. My opinion though I can get the other side as well

after rewatching Revice, I like the Juuga arc so much more
Goerge has always been jealous of the Iggarashi family
he wants to be like this father - science and rider was his pride and coping mechanism
knowing his father is alive but chose to not be in his life filled him with conflicted emotions
=> he wants to be better than his father out of spite
and then the reveal of him having his father's Demon overwhelmed George with Imposter Syndrome,
all of his past work, his pride, was it really him or was it his father that got him to this point
=> he doesnt know who he is anymore
He desperately wants his father's love yet hates his father for everything he did
making the Juuga driver, a driver that doesnt need a Demon is a desperate attempt at escaping from his father's influence
=> he didnt fought the others just to see how strong he is, he fought to prove to himself that he doesnt need his father
put thing this arc at the end => having Ikki risk everything to help George makes me respect Ikki so much more
