How much does this change the price?
What is your question
@@RockhillfarmYT how much did the price of the tym tractors change going to Branson
TYM builds the best tractor for the dollar I’ve seen and I’ve been around the AG industry for 43yrs. They often use Kukje engines and they are phenomenal power plants and one of few that I’d choose over anything else in their class.!
I just hope this merger/consolidation of TYM and Kukje doesn’t hinder their great build quality! Kukje has made engines for Deere and Cummins! TYM offers 4 models (4&5 series) that I’m aware of with Kukje engines that still have a mechanical Bosch injection pump with a completely separate dpf/regen system, ie Engines will run regardless. So hopefully any of you old school gear heads like myself can read between the lines here! DPF 👋
Nice review. I have a 2020 Branson 5835R which is virtually identical to the TYM 5835. Some items of interest that were not touched upon : you can shift the shuttle from forward to reverse without any clutching (blue button) with no ill effects, there is an electronic 3 point lift/lower control on the "passenger" rear fender that makes hooking up implements alot easier, the engine is all mechanical with the only computer belonging to the DPF system. The tractor weight is 4300 bare (no loader), the 3 point controls in the work station are electronic, 15 gallon fuel tank. In case anyone is curious, mine sips fuel. Keep up the great videos!
Thank you for sharing the information.
I do believe it’s almost identical to yours.
Class 2 implements?

The right size/amount of ballast on the rear end helps protect that front axle. I learned that the hard way... lol. Thanks for sharing Brock 🤠
I test drove one of these a couple days ago. Although the operator station is enormous, only downside I saw was the gearshift hits your leg while using the throttle pedal. It hits it right where the clutch button is. It’s a beast though. Very quiet engine.
Was hoping to see a cab version in 2024. Perhaps next year.
I always liked that model as a branson. The super simple emissions system and power shuttle is great. If a fella could move away from green, which I struggle with….
I'm glad TYM is not focusing all on their rebranding. Tym makes a lot of tractors for a lot different companies out there. I think they've got like 68 different types of models.. eventually they're going to have to consolidate that. I'm ready to see some TYM mini excavators!
Go TEAM! Great to see you “UA-camrs” working together to share quality information. 3300#’s lift on the tractor is very impressive!
I was looking at a John Deere but they charge 1000 dollars per horse power. I could almost buy 2 tym tractors for that price. I'm not bashing JD, but most small homesteads are not financially able to purchase a JD.
That green paint must have gold in it.
Looks like a nice capable model. Good video Brock and Tony 👍
Love this tractor ❤❤❤
Two great UA-camrs YouTubin' like they know how. Great overview!
Branson tractors has good specs and they look sharp in red now.
As a 5835r owner, seems to be some misinformation in this video and lots of missed key features that makes this tractor stand out above the others
Well, I bleed green but. . . There's some really nice options there. I'm actually impressed. I believe these other companies are adding features to get the orange or green crew to give them a second look. I really wish MSRP would of come up. But honestly between the 4066 and the little 3 series I have I think I'm set. But I have been thinking about talking to the dealer about a nice 5 series. . .
I just purchased my 4820R and it is a beast, unfortunately, the BUCKET SUCKS! The first day using the bucket to move small bushes to clear the way, the small piece of branch bent the bucket. Besides the bucket all the screws/bolts were loose, nothing was tighten we had to tighten all the screws/bolts on the tractor. Lastly, underneath the tractor they installed a very small rubber (not sure the material) hose that basically was “CRAP” the hose is too small and while driving a branch hit the hose which removed the hose and the oil spilled. Happen twice. So, to fix it, my husband placed a longer hose and added a large (not too thick) plate to protect the bottom of the tractor, something so stupid but no one thought of it. Before anyone says anything, YES I told the sales person what I needed before I purchase mine. The BUCKET is too thin. Now I have to replace it.
I wonder how much more trouble these power shuttles have with all of those clutch packs? Seems like that is recipe for durability issues when compared to a hydrostat. I have heard people say they are expensive to repair.
Booyah! First in! 🤠
Tym korea!!!!
Why is this particular tractor spec’d at 584 PTO rpms instead of 540? Or maybe all of the formerly Branson tractors?
Is the cab for the 5835 an aftermarket, or is it a factory option?
You might not have noticed but one person reported - only downside I saw was the gearshift hits your leg while using the throttle pedal?
Yeah, I actually went and ran this tractor a couple weeks after the show and I noticed that, but of course, my video was already published
@@RockhillfarmYT maybe it depends on where the seat is too but they should noticed when laying it out.
Shouldnt be an issue however it sounds like a minor concern. I’m certain one could take off the grip handle and bend the shift shaft slightly. Something like that just wouldn’t even be close to a dealbreaker. If it had an aluminum rear axle housing like my Deere as well as many other model deere and kubotas, then I wouldn’t even look at it!
Too large to use around the house?
i would like to see this sitting next to t494 or T574 since they are both the same size.
It’s quite a bit longer and wider than those machines from my memory but it has a really tight turning radius according to the spec sheet.
Definitely feels bigger than those machines driving it. I’ve ran all three just enough to say I have
Why is there no cab version of this machine?
Good question. At the time I reported this they said they were going to come out with 1 but I don’t know if they have.
🙂
Does it have a full brush guard on it? The Branson version had what looked like 1/2 of a brush guard?
It does not
@@RockhillfarmYT I dont unde4stand the decisions these companies make
@@311hitwall I agree. My John Deere didn’t come with much of a brush guard so that was one of the first things I added
How is this tractor listed under compact tractors on TYM's site??
It’s kind of pushing the line between a compact tractor in the utility tractor if that’s what you mean.
I kind of compare everything to John Deere because I know they’re model number is the best.
They consider the 4 series, a compact and the 5 series a utility tractor. I think this is bigger than a four series but it’s not nearly as big as a five series.
I guess you can get cat 1 inserts to use on it?
That's what I do, all my implements are Cat 1.
ALL DAY LONG; So simple to do. Make sure you read the OPERATORS MANUAL.
Hate to see the price as ridiculous as things are now. Seems like it would eventually bring the economy to a halt. You can't even find a vehicle unless you buy before it hits the lot
Buy used, save alot.
Is the clutch pedal electronic?
yes
Does anyone know is there a TYM dealership in western Montana , I was interested in a kioti but the dealership never returned my calls ?
I don’t know off the top of my head, but if you go on the TYM website they have a dealer locator and you can put in your ZIP Code
Does this have a wet clutch?
Yes
👀
🥐
tym stock is too cheap
Those tractors are just way too clean...
Truth
Prob too big to use in the yard.
Nothing new - just a rebranded Branson
That is true
Thanks for watching
As an owner of a Branson and a huge fan of Branson tractors, I'm sad to see the Branson name go away and I hope TYM does a better job of advertising these tractors then Branson did, because they're excellent.
I'll be honest, it does torque me a little bit to see people saying how great a job TYM did developing a trailer that has in reality been around for couple of years. But I will say good for you TYM on buying Branson, you've added some solid tractors to your lineup.
Wait - so the new TYM 5835R doesn't have the Kukje engine that the Branson 5835R had?
I don’t know for certain but I think it is the same engine
Kukje engines will now be called TYM engines. TYM bought Kukje
@@RockhillfarmYT Mike Schramke says the TYM Branson 5835R has the Kukje engine: ua-cam.com/video/cJxLC-IURCY/v-deo.html
Yes is does have the same kukje engine.
