Kennedy was alive this day and dead the next. Amazing. They really gave this country the lift it needed to get it through the dark days of that moment.
wow, this was filmed the day before Kennedy was shot.
Yes, and 17 years before John was. If he stayed in the UK he'd still be alive!
Correct. Actually they were on stage doing a show outside Middlesborough when he was shot.
It was also the day before their second album was released
@@Realbillball Where is that? What country?
@Leon Erin Stockton-on-Tees is correct. But still not far from M'boro. He was shot while they were actually on stage performing.
George's laugh I love it
Before seeing the other comments I saw the date... What a wonderful event and interview for the band that would change history. If only the tragic event the next day never happened...
What would happen if JFK hadn't been shot? How would it impact The Beatles?
@@osamabinladen824 I think it would have impacted their fame. How much, we'll never know. The Beatles were EXACTLY what America needed at EXACTLY the right time to bring them out of a nationwide depression. Something new, different, and exciting.
@@spockboy Thank you for your response. After 3 years.
@@osamabinladen824 Sorry, I'm a really slow typer.
Pause at 1:35... George's eyebrow thing at the camera...
C est super sympa, magnifique documentaire sur mes favs de toujours. Peace and love forever, Agnès.
1:34 George, lol XDD
Lol
Geo could play his eye brows too...😍
JF Kennedy's penultimate day on this earth. Chilling. Peace. Rx
"Penultimate..." really, dude?
@@Pharoset It fits.
This was filmed the day before President Kennedy was assassinated. I've always wondered where each Beatle was and exactly what each one was doing when he heard the news that Kennedy had been shot. I don't think that information is out there. You know it's not only Americans who remember it so well. Everyone in the civilized world old enough remembers exactly where s/he was and what s/he was doing when hearing the news of Kennedy's assassination.
the amazing thing is that ONLY 10 WEEKS LATER...after jfk's murder...with america and american kids in shock, depression over the death of the president...here comes the beatles to lift the spirits of the american people ...the american youth...i have always felt that was divine intervention...
yowzephyr I think that they were performing in Middlesbrough in England, on that fateful day.
ACNC1 i would love to go back in time to see them
ACNC1 Since I wrote that post I did hear Paul say in a documentary that they, The Beatles, were backstage at a place where they were performing when they heard the news. So I guess that was in Middlesbrough, eh? I wonder how it was handled. Was the news announced to the audience, and then did the performances just continue? Did any of the performers on stage talk to the audience about it? My guess is the show just went on and everyone kept to the script. In those days America probably seemed a lot more distant than it does now.
The Beatles were at the ABC cinema (Globe) Stockton-On-Tees the day Kennedy was assassinated and the show did go ahead.
The theatre dude's voice is so weird. He looks overdubbed.
lmfao that guy at the end
He sounds like C-3PO from Star Wars! lol
It's amazing to see kids line up for a rock concert without being strung out on uppers downers sidewaysers, reds, blacks, plaids, dope, rope, coke, and soap
Yeah! The best phase of your life To Be a Teenager, nothing bothers you, you're against everything, nothing really maters to be taken seriusly, just hanging around pretending you watch and see everybody but you don't give shit of nothing at all. Great part of a guy's and gal's life,
Sure. No rent due every month. No bills.
I'd love to go back in time and be a teenager waiting for The Beatles.
they all seem nervous after the interviewer mentions that they might need police protection. Paul scratches at his fingers and the other three laugh nervously.

A Beatle ticket cost $36 or (pounds)? How much was that back in late '63? Sounds like a lot.
No. He said the fans were queing for 36 hours
@@marks.6480 36 hours!!! 😯😲
Back then a ticket cost £2.00. What a bargain!
My second row ticket was 12 shillings and 6 pence . That’s 62 and a half pennies nowadays ! However it’s all relative to average incomes etc !
Carlyle is in the north of England?
Carlisle. And yes. Just near the border with Scotland
@@h4r4 Northumberland ...
@@basilmarasco1975 what you on about?
@@basilmarasco1975 it's not Northumberland, it's Cumbria
Carlisle is The Border City being the most north western City in England , being 8 miles from the Border with Scotland .
whoa, the laugh lines on the theater owner's face are just insane.
Yes. A day later Kennedy was murdered! We as Americans were in mourning. Beatles were never on our minds.
1:41 John the Troll
Who was he talking about?
@@rachelthompson7487 I don't know... whoever the person they were talking about just now saying there was going to be a need for increased security. He's just starting unfounded rumours for fun and trolling purposes. hihi
@@jfjoubertquebecoh. Well whatever he was saying it seems like Paul was starting to protest lol
paul...goes into his own shell..seems embarrassed by the others...his body language...picking on his nails and almost sitting away from the others...
+Dean Martin he seems more like a posh arrogant lil bitch to me since he wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for john
Dean Martin I don't think he meant to look distant. I have a bad habit of picking my nails and sometimes I get really into it. maybe he was like that or maybe he was nervous
Paul was a chronic nailbiter. No he wasn't embarrassed by them. They all used to cut up in their own way.
Dean Martin omg yes and ringo was getting uncomfortable because John kept staring at him lmao sooo cute and funny Paul is very distant personality
According to studies nailbitting is a way to release stress or signs of nervousness
that guy in the end talks funny😂😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤love this!
50 years exactly! didn't even notice that :)
November 21, 2019....now it's 56 years ago today!!!
One of the most iconic events in my life ! I was a Cheerleader wearing a cowboy hat on which I’d embroidered Beatles ! There was a stampede when the Box Office was suddenly opened at Midnight and those of us with sleeping bags , back packs etc were trampled on ! Nevertheless Row B sufficed !.Tickets cost 12 shillings and six pence …and were worth every penny to scream at Our Musical Heroes !
I don't believe you. You got the information online from "The Beatles Bible."
"Tickets cost 12 shillings and sixpence. On this occasion The Beatles performed 10 songs: 'I Saw Her Standing There', 'From Me To You', 'All My Loving', 'You Really Got A Hold On Me', 'Roll Over Beethoven', 'Boys', 'Till There Was You', 'She Loves You', 'Money (That's What I Want)' and 'Twist And Shout'."
This was on my Birthday
The day before JFK was killed
My mu saw them in February
Wow, 36hrs to see a gig. I hope it was worth it.
