I struggle from PTSD and saw a therapist for almost 2 years. One thing she taught me that stayed with me through the years was meditation, but specifically the following. When you catch that your mind is wandering to stressful things such as: trauma, past memories, negative thoughts. Stop. Acknowledge that you’re in this moment NOW. Open your eyes and look around and realize you’re FREE from whatever it is you’re thinking because it is simply a thought now and not the present. I hope this helps someone. Always take care of your mind because it matters so so so much. 🥺❤️
When i am meditating, usually i just think about what i am grateful for. Like: my health and my family's health, our jobs...and i just pray for what i need for the next day. At the end i usually say to my self: "i am grateful for what i have and what i am, i am grateful for this day " 💜 Then i feel so much more relaxed and just grateful! Loved this video 💜

Side note: I LOVE lo-fi music smuch😍 I have a crazy hard time meditating bc I cannot stay focused and keep my quiet 😬 Something I do to help is focusing on relaxing each part of my body, one by one. I start with my head and go down. Literally, EVERY body part lol even ears and eye lids. Saying it loud helps stay fixed as well 🥰 ALSO! Listening to meditation podcasts can be really helpful! I lay on the floor sprawled out. Hope this helps!! Xoxo
For meditation I recommend sitting in a half lotus position and later on switching to full lotus . It’s an old Chinese method called Chan meditation this way of mediation is very effective ! It sounds weird but when you start feeling pain in the leg it teaches your endurance and the more you endure the more you’ll find strength

Hi Heart! I love this video because I've been big on self care recently too. I'm new to meditation as well but I really enjoy it! Some tips I can give you is maybe try laying down instead of sitting up since you're fidgety. Or if you'd like to sit up, try sitting in the dark or sitting on the ground on a cushion without barriers. In regards to breathing...make your inhales as deep as your exhales girl! Try turning off your phone or at least air plane mode and no wifi (so therefore you'll have to download your meditation music so you can still listen to it). But the point is to not let your phone bug you when it goes off and with the cellular waves are very bad for us and with them off you feel so much better (trust me). ALSO....omg this is long LOL...try getting mala beads to help in your meditation! It'll aid in your breathing techniques and you can also say a mantra while using them
