This song was written by Igor Krutoy - the man accompanying Dimash on piano - and was originally sung by the Russian artist Alla Pugacheva. This version frustrates me when the audience applauds too soon. The beauty of the intermezzo was loosely based on one of the Ave Maria’s. Dimash asked Igor to compose an Ave Maria for him and this premiered in 2021. Igor Krutoy wrote this over 20 years ago for great femsle Russian singer Alla Pugacheva. Her version is as different as you can imagine, i found it angry and upset! Maestro Igor Krutoy (piano) and Dimash presented the song first on Alla Pugachova's 70th birthday on April 2019. She is a famous singer in Russia. The event took place in the Crocus City Hall in Moscow.
Maestro Krutoy composed this song 28 years ago for Alla Pugacheva. Valerya Gorbacheva wrote the beautiful words. Now Igor and Dimash have refreshed the song and Dimash made it his song, incomparably beautiful. The interpretation is completely different from the original. I melt away every time I hear the song.
* Igor Krutoy, *1954 in Ukraine SSR. He lives and works in Moscow/ Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Krutoy wrote of what working with Dimash meant to him: “How lucky it is to be doing what you love to do, writing for such a brilliantly feeling singer, evoking deep emotion in the audience and being in demand'.

Here is an emotional song by Dimash. Qaragym Ai. He has two outstanding versions of this, one at the 2021 digital concert and this one which he sang in an empty auditorium due to covid in tribute to one of his mentors who passed from covid. It is Dimash and a piano. You can see the pain on his face. So much emotion and so beautifully done. If I am not mistaken, the mentor is the composer of this song. Yeah, it is a cover but he rearranged it completely (as he always do 😂). He slowed the song down, included the soprano part and the break, and the "explosive" part at the end, so this a complete new song... 😂

Yup...same. THAT is the magick of Dimash, he just emotionally pulls you in, and takes you on a journey whether you wanted to go or not. And the most magical thing about it is that he evokes this exact reaction EVERY. TIME. you hear the SAME. SONG/PERFORMANCE! For most singers, at some point, its like - "OK, well this is great; but I've heard it enough on repeat already, so it's old hat now" - RIGHT? That NEVER seems to happen with a Dimash performance, and it's just... mind boggling. But wonderful!
