Thanks man. Just got the lite module and found it impossible to find any straightforward information for setup and install. Until I found your video. Everything in one place and up to date. I did actually learn something today. Appreciated. Great time to be in the hobby but current ecosystem is not noob friendly. Hopefully will settle down soon.
Glad to hear that my video helped you! I too had issues finding all the info in one video so made this to makes things less frustrating. Happy flying!!!
@@CrowWingFPV Sir i have a problem, my jumper t lite stuck on "connecting" when i try to click elrs on my remote. what should i do?. sorry if my english isnt good
After the first 2 minute of watching your video I can say I totally agree with you! Watching those videos I just get crazy... Watching them 10 time, spent days to bind ....
Great! Helped this old guy out for sure. One question. I will be putting new ELRS rx modules on a couple woops to start. Can I just go into the old model file and just change it from the internal to the external ELRS? Won't everything else function as it did with the previous protocol? My arm aux and switch is on channel 5 already as ELRS requires. Then tweak BetaFlight of course. Do I need to create a new model is what I'm asking if I just change the few settings ELRS requires? Thanks for a great Video!
You should be able too. Me personally I just made a new ELRS model and I use that one for every quad I fly since I use the same switches for everything
I am using elrs configurator version 1.6.1 and at the bottom, I only see "flash" and no other options for "build". I am very new to this and any help would be appreciated
I did everything correct even added sounds to my channels. But when I save everything in Beta flight . Disconnect , turn off Kwad and Jumper t lite. When I turn it back on . The Model I took forever to create gets deleted back to MODEL # 1 etc.... Like the Controller reboots to factory settings when I turn it off. I tried again and I get the same results.
How to check what receiver I should get? I found the module for transmitter jumper t-lite, but I have no idea which receiver should i get for my drone. I want to get geprc smart 35 and found product such as "GEPRC ELRS Nano Receiver", but how I can be sure it will be compatible and everything will work good? What are the differences between different ELRS receivers?
My Last (I hope) question please. When I flash the TX module should the my Jumper T lite be powered on? You showed the module with the USB cable plugged into it but I couldn't tell if the Jumper T lite was on or not. Thanks so much for your patience.
Inside the Jumper case back there is a round black rubber pad. It's 5/8 inch long and 5/16 inch diameter. I saw it on yours too. I was having some problem closing my back into place so I removed it. Closed fine after that. What is it for? Think I will regret doing that?
How's the performance of your Jumper Aion ELRS Receiver? My HappyModel EP1 RX isn't performing well when weather is very cold like below 20F. I am unable to arm my quad when temperature is like that. LOL.
I have not had any issues, even way below 0F. I have been testing the EP2 so I can get rid of the antennas but it is spring and only drops to maybe 10F at night at lowest
No idea, I have never used R-XSR , only used XM+ a couple times before I totally got rid of it. I would suggest to spend a couple bucks and go with ELRS, you will get more reliable, and better TX-RX. Crossfire is great, but it is very spendy when compared to ELRS, and not to mention ELRS is starting to take over the FPV world. Open Source is always best.
Set t lite model to D16 protocol then put into bind mode. Plug battery to quad / power on fc+rx. Find the little bind button on rx. Press and hold for. 3 seconds. that should normally bind. (ignore anything about holding button and powering on.)
Can you pls explain how do you set up the WIFI_SSID and what did you do to get it to work? You explain everything but not this part. Can you tell me step by step how do i do this?
I actually do not use the Wi-Fi ssid to connect to my home Wi-Fi. I find it easier to just use the built in Wi-Fi of the ELRS receiver which broadcasts a Wi-Fi name of ExpressLRS. This turns on automatically after 60 seconds. And you just select from your Wi-Fi list and connect with the password of “expresslrs”
@@CrowWingFPV Yeah i saw that later, I thought i had to put my own password in which i set into the wifi and not "expresslrs", but somehow now the receiver is still not connecting to my t lite, I still have the dash which you say at 46:45. Maybe i have to do the same trick which someone said here in the comments. But why is it not working if I am using the latest firmware on all the things? This is so weird.
If it is solid blue and it is not connected to your radio than it is loading into bootloader mode. Which may indicate that your RX is soldered onto a half duplex UART. Double check your wiring on your receiver and make sure you have RX to TX and TX to RX, if that is correct than try it on another UART.
@@CrowWingFPV Alright thx, In a different video someone said, that the wiring is the same as using crossfire. And on my FC there is no wiring diagramm for ELRS, but for crossfire, thats why i used the crossfire UARTS. Im pretty sure, i have tx to rx and so on, so I will check if a different Uart helps.
From which version of elrs did you update to 2.2.0, i just tried going from the version that came with the module (im assuming 1.0.0) directly to 2.4.0 and i ran into many problems. I just finished installing 1.0.1 and seemed to work just fine, i hope i dont have to go trough all the versions to get the newest.
I updated to 2.2.0. Not sure what was on there to be honest, whatever came on RX and TX. I’m not sure why you are having issues, it should update just fine.
@@CrowWingFPV i finally got it working and maybe my problem will help somebody, use a lua script from 1.x.x, do not use one with a version 2.x.x. I like what you're teaching
Followed your steps and just like you said all worked fine. I got all my RXs set up. And RXs connect to my TX (Radio instantly).

Thanks , it’s concise and easy to understand. Great help.
Maaaaan. Thank you!!!!
Can you make a video showing how to configure the 3 position switches so they don't register as only 2 position?

Hello! I am not able to to download ELRS v3 lua script to my macbook pro. How would I do that?
Great video, are the steps similar for the jumper t lite with built in ELRS?
A New question pls. 🙂 Do you know if it's possible to wire an ELRS rx onto a SPI board like on a Tiny Hawk or Mobula whoop?

Most All the elrs receivers will work with with any elrs transmitter module. I tend to stick with happymodel ep2 receivers.

The t-lite doesn’t need to powered on. The usb should power the module

That looks like it is there to secure in a chip so it doesnt come dislodged, that would be my guess.

The install of it to the actual radio no, but configuring and setting up the TX and RX should be the same or very close.
