This Erik story w/ SR never gets old. Been a huge fan of Skid Row since their debut album and been a Erik fan ever since seeing him on Swedish Idol and of course H.E.A.T. this was just meant to be. I'm excited so I can't imagine what it must have felt like when Snake etc heard Eriks voice on their songs for the first time.
I waited for SORRY the right voice and LOOK of the appropriate singer to front one of the best hard rock bands of the late 80s early 90s scene. SKID ROW was MY band. But without Bas and Rob it felt wrong. Until NOW. Why doesn't Rob come back!!!?
@@hnybee113 some people just get tired of the road and the bullshit we don't see or hear about the business side I guess also if he's signed as the a original and never gave up his rights he gets paid while someone else plays his parts example Warren DeMartini of ratt doesn't tour but gets a share of every show so why go through the headache and still get paid hope that helps you understand just imagine going to a different city and everyone wants to be your best friend and you've never met them before and then on to the next city and you can't trust anyone but yourself and maybe 1 great friend if you can find one TRUST have a great day I'm cracking a beer and smoke a bowl of California's best lol then plug my guitar in what a rough life lol
I don't think Erik will last. Young guy, killer voice, clearly the star of the show and stands out as the band's most talented member. I don't think Snake and Rachel's ego can handle him.
Always enjoy Snake's interviews. The backstory between Erik Gronwall and Skid Row and how they recorded the new record and the subsequent meetup between them is damn remarkable. The songs performed live both old and new are fuckin' fire. Love the energy they have together as Skid Row.
For those of you who never got to meet Snake Sabo. He's easily one of the nicest, most humble down earth people you'll ever meet anywhere. I'll never forget that all the way back on that Rock NEVER STOPS Tour 2002 in Anaheim.
Skid Row is back, baby. This lineup is the best since the original. The latest album is the best since Slave to the Grind. Love this band and I am rocking The Gangs All Here like it's 1989.
I also saw Erik on the JC Superstar NBC live show where he played Simon Zealotes. I'm a former musical theatre performer and that is a coveted show especially the original concept album. Erik was a perfect Jesus!! Bas played Jesus so their voices match. I am sooooo happy for truly MY fave band.
I MISS KNAC!! Dammit. Lol. Proud LA girl here. Way better than Pirate. And as an 13 yr old who wasn't allowed to go to the strip. We had radio Cathouse on KNAC on Saturday night which lead to Headbangers Ball. Lol. Good times!!
I think on snakes headstone it's going to say, "so are you getting back together with baz?" A few years ago I saw Rob Affuso at a bar. I just nudged him in the arm and I mumbled, so is Skid Row getting back together? We both cracked up lol
I think Sebastian would be stupid to play with them at this point. They say Sebastian is hard to work with, but they are the ones who keep firing lead singers. Rachel and Snake have turned the band into a complete joke. if I were Sebastian, I wouldn't want to be a part of that. Their current lead singer is actually pretty damn good- which makes me think he'll be fired too.
I think Skid Row "need" to get the Reunion with Sebastien over and done with. KISS did it. Do a few world tours, bring an album out and the "re-split" will just happen nicer. It needs to happen for Skid Row for Sebastien and for the fans to move on.
Man, slave to the grind is one of my favorite albums ever, but I can understand these guys. Bach is a massive egotistical, knob head. You'd be a saint to tolerate him.
I'm at the point where I don't care about Skid Row. I wouldn't pay to see them with Sebastian or anyone else. I think Sebastian would be stupid to play with them again. They say Sebastian is hard to work with, but they are the ones who keep firing lead singers. Rachel and Snake have turned the band into a complete joke.
@@TheSWCantina You're not wrong, but Snake and Rachel have fired three lead singers since he left. They aren't exactly lacking in the ego department. They say Bach is hard to work with, but they are the ones keep firing lead singers. I am sure he's a pain to work with. But Bach and Bolan seem like they are pain to work with too. The whole thing is a shit show at this point. I am past the point of caring about it.
Alot of the fans have moved on, I know I have, I've also heard Sebastian sing lately and no a new record would not be good. No he does not sound amazing anymore, the high notes aren't there anymore sadly, and it's not 1992 anymore either. Their not going to reunite at any cost, not after all the demands he made in 2019, when Rob Affuso got them texting with each other. One demand I know of, is he demanded 50%, all texting ceased after that, he hadn't changed and they told him their never going to work with him again. So there went that, now it's never going to happen.
The thing is, Skidrow would still be playing bars had it. It been for Sebastian Bach. They are all good musicians, but none of them are great. They got famous on the back of Bach. Let's face reality.
Yeah, well I'm past the point of caring about Skid Row. There was a time when i would have liked to see a Sebastian reunion. But now I wouldn't pay to see them with Sebastian or anyone else. Nothing at all against Erik. I had nothing against ZP, Sollinger, or Harnell. I have a problem with Snake and Rachel saying someone else is hard to work with when they are the ones who keep firing lead singers and always have the same damn excuse. I'm not some purist who thinks Bach is the only lead singerfor the band. i actually saw them with Sollinger back in the day and thought it was damn good... and then they fired Sollinger! Then they fired Harnell... then ZP. At some point I just threw up my hands and said screw it. This is a joke.

They don’t need Sebastian 🤦🏻♂️ Erik is crushing it 🥂

that would be nice, i only like the Original Skid Row with Sebastian Bach...i have tried liking the other vocalists in the band nope

I always wanted to hear the bands point of view. You guys should talk more We always hear Bach's point of view. LoL 🤣
Well, maybe we will hit up their publicist and tell them that people are asking for a follow up.
@@wegoto1116 well I for one would be very interested to hear from them. I think they've kept quiet far too long.
