Great interview. Love the Texas Rangers shirt Frank. I lived in Texas for 25 years. Saw Tesla for the first time in Lubbock Texas where I was a DJ at KFMX radio. Been a fan ever since.

The Rock the Environment concert at the Gorge is where I discovered War Babies. I came up from Portland, Oregon. It was a great Seattle lineup. Metal Church, War Babies, Queensryche, Lovemongers, Bananafish. Then I heard they broke up after I turned all my friends on to them. Good to see this interview.

I successfully edited Tesla's Wikipedia page to reflect that they are a "rock band" instead of a "hair metal" band from Sacramento. It took a couple of goes, but it stuck. 😊

I remember helping these guys especially Tommy when they opened for Alice in Chains as Mikes bass tech. War Babies friggin kicked ASS ! Seattle scene GOLD ! Jeff L Hubbard

Love the band, her voice, the production, etc. Only thing I'm confused about is the element of 'room' for songs on Street Magic. The running time is under 34 minutes. That's a short album with lots of room for more songs. Maybe that 2nd ep could've been worked in(?) Either way-- great band and both albums are killer!

Back in 90 or 91 I had the good fortune of opening up for quite a few national acts as they came through San Diego and these guys were one of them. Not only were they amazing performers but they were just great, down to Earth, human beings! Shout out to Lauren from another member of the rock and roll brotherhood!

In the world of bassist there are words that are used to describe a player- Smooth Tasty Innovative Groove Tone(holy crap, this one has its own universe actually- trying to find a great bass tone that fits you.) Steve hit all of those with immense skill and talent. When you single out the bass in a song to listen to, that is special. Huge fan, playing a long time, not nearly as good as Mr Fossen. Tremendous talent, just awesome bass lines and skill, and great great tone on all his different basses actually. Straight on For You….. .. Jim Chicago Be nice young musicians
