Colonel R.S.B Bello Fadile would later write a letter to Obasanjo apologizing for implicating him in the alleged coup plot. He would also deny the existence of any such plot at the Oputa panel in 2000

The so called 1995 coup was indeed a phantom coup. So sad that a lot of intelligent officers lost everything due to the greed of the likes of Ishaya Bamayi.
