Great video, I can’t say I’m to familiar with these glass pipe accessories are they a recent development? I’m curious to what hardware / filters etc they hook up to in a nano setup like you have. Thanks again for making these videos!
The glass pipes have been around for over 10 years now! In my nano set-up, I am using an Oase FiltoSmart Thermo 100 Aquarium External Filter! Thank you for watching my videos!
these are really good but i found the glass deceiving slightly in how it appears and feels really strong but its actually quite delicate, I managed to break 2 and also stab myself really bad with one trying to remove the hose from it, borosilicate glass is deadly when it breaks and these are nowhere near pyrex thickness, its a caution worth mentioning, i dont think its a quality issue at all, just the nature of such small glass pieces
Can you attached a fine filter at the bottom of the skimmer lily pipe to not suck all the babies shrimp? Is there an adapter to connect fine filter for the shrimp?
This skimmer is the only one small enough for my UNS 60S shallow tank. Sadly, it does not work at all. The plastic parts are sized incorrectly in relation to the glass part, because of this it does not generate enough suction at the top. Been running it a week and it has not reduced oil at all.
Hi, I got bought this set as a present and I love the look of them but the issue I’m having is the water flow is so strong it’s pushing my fish around. I have the same filter as you are using. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Great video btw x
you can get an Eheim in line flow adjusting tap thing to control the flow, they come in 12 and 16mm u can install it close to the filter so its hidden, its on amazon and most fish places, thats what i was going to use but tbh in my 80cm its actually a decent amount of flow with an Oase filtosmart 200
There's just not enough reviews on Glass skimmers or spin lilly pipes. Need to know some good brands for reliability especially for glass skimmers as you could pay over the odds for a poor skimmer.

I’ve been searching for a Nano Skimmer. Thank you very much for the review 🙂
No problem! I’m glad you found what you were looking for!
Thanks just what I needed! Was going to get the Eheim skimmer but will be getting these instead
These will be way better than the Eheim skimmer!

I have these for my 15 gallon but I’m gonna move it to my 3 gallon, however it gets the job done! I really like it
They are perfect for small aquariums like your 3 gallon!

Ahh no way! That’s sucks, I haven’t had that problem yet! Like you said with smaller glass wear you need to be careful!
Thanks for the video bud, is this the 13mm version?
Yes they are!
Would you have any concerns about your chilis getting into the skimmer? I've been trying to find a chili-safe skimmer for a while now .
They seem good so far, the inlet slits seem to be too small for chilli rasboras to be sucked it.

I don’t think so, I think it would affect the flow too much!

Oh no that’s such a shame, have you tried adjusting the flow intake using the dial at the bottom of the inlet pipe?
Awesome video
Thank you!

Maybe you could add some filter flood to your filter, it should be help to reduce the flow abit!
@@KrishsAquariums thank you so much for replying. I’ll give that a go 👍
No problem, I hope it works, let me know!

What is the o-ring size used for the inlet control valve?
I’m not sure, I’ll have to measure mine and find out
thx for sharing
No problem thanks for watching
I have a 50cm nano aquascape, but I think even the small one will take up to much space compared to a normal glass inflow..
These don’t take much space at all! Mines is a 50cm nano!
How thick has to be the glass for this lily pipes?
Anyone know where to find skimmer that is 10mm?
I haven’t seen a 10mm one before
Do you 17mm for this?
I think f-zone does a 17mm!
Would a 12mm ID fit this??
Just about I believe!
I dont think the nano one would be a good idea for a 55 gallon tank would it?
Would be too small!

Exactly this why I made this video! This one from f zone has been the best one I found so far!
