I love so many of the concepts at play and how they’re integrated. I’m with you! Even if it were 6 outs and only had cv mode, this would be awesome! There are other cv recorders but for whatever reason, the userflow seems to miss out. This having many channels, multiple uses for the knob in other modes like lfo and envelopes aaaaaand having multiple types of input to influence it aaand clock and div. Goodness. So powerful! This is a winner and it’s gonna go next to my pizza. Neo and Trinity are going on a pizza date!
Magnificent Mr Maco (sp?)!!! Amazing! Wonderful and thorough video manual! You always pull out alllll sorts of stuff from any module you show off and this one did not disappoint! Thank you! Excited to see what other Bastl modules you can show in other vids!
Wes- detailed question- For knob recording… In say LFO mode, so it’s recording like a cycle that’s a certain length that you decide, right? And as you hold the rec knob it records the knob sweeps for that length. Then if you want to make changes, it overlays those knob changes over the top of the section you hit rec on, but if the sequence is say 64 beats and you hit rec over beats 20 through 36, it still keeps everything that’s on 1-19 and 37-64? Not sure if I asked that correctly but hope you know what I mean.
I guess what I’m asking is if you hit rec for a shorter time frame over the top of a longer sequence, is it completely destructive or is it just overdubbing that smaller section, and retaining the previous recording?
hey sorry just saw this, SO! When you do knob recording it writes to those steps, if you lengthen the sequence it will not enter any data for the NEW longer portions of the sequence, so if you have an 8 step sequence where you are modulating, and then change it to a 16 step sequence, the new 8 steps will have no data in them until you record it in. the overdubbing IS destructive though, so if you begin recording and record over information, it's gone ! you can most certainly "PUNCH IN" automations as well ( which is i think what you're asking ) - which would be holding rec and entering info at any part of the sequence - it will only record what you've done while you're holding record.
The cheat sheet is gonna be 104Hp lol But wow this baby is powerful Great Release Its gonna be essential and a mastermind type module I thought Kermit Mk3 was feature packed Its a Robot in Disguise

Yup! There’s a jumper wire in the back that can link the output of the aikido to the buddy!
i didn't know the aikido can be link with the buddy^^ i was thinking it just for link other buddy together^^@@soffter
Why not use just the aikido? Why do you need buddy as well? (I’m debating whether to buy aikido as I have no mixer)

Can i record CV from the rack?
are you asking if you can record incoming cv from a different module? I do not believe that you can, but you can set the meta modes to react to them!
My boy Wesh lookin' BUFF these days, bruhs/brettes.

The cheat sheet is gonna be 104Hp lol
But wow this baby is powerful
Great Release
Its gonna be essential and a mastermind type module
I thought Kermit Mk3 was feature packed
Its a Robot in Disguise
there's a lot going on no doubt, but it's strikingly intuitive and easy to navigate once you learn it!
damn this module is QUICK
who is flat eric
Oh my god, we're finally old boys! 🌚
a lot going on in only 😢8hp, love what it does but a lot of button combo that kind of scare me...mmmm
Too many features, too small, too many combo buttons... not sure about this one is not for me.
If you get a chance to try it out you might like it!! But it’s okay if not :)
It’s appears like a mess but actually easy to use after a very small amount of time with it. My new favorite modulator
