Unreal... I keep coming back to Bastl Instruments every time I look for new modules. I would like see what would happen if you make a sampler module for eurorack. My favorite ones are Rossum Assimil8or and Erica Synths Sample Drum.
Seems similar to the Dnipro Krait+Expander. Adding 3 additional channels and an envelope generator. Missing the screen for visual feedback. A little too many button combinations for me to remember personally, but still a very nice module. Especially if space is limited
Also Krait is function-wise very similar to the Bastl’s old CV Trinity of which Neo Trinity is a spiritual successor with more features… so yep, all have similar functions with different approaches so people can choose what they like :)
Is it possible to continuously shift the LFO phase? And can i record long CV on one channel and modulate another channel with it? by this for example the LFO amp could rise or fall over time, etc.
Just got mine today. You definitely killed it with this one! Job well done! Now I’m wishing it was a few hp bigger so I had more outputs. At least 8! Love it!!! One question recording triggers. I’m noticing it isn’t keeping accurate to some of my rapid trigger button presses while recording. It tends to slow the pattern, or at least not accurately represent it
You can buy a second one to get 12 outputs :) The triggers are time-quantized to the clock by default, so it expects you to record the triggers according to that. However you can “turn off” the time quantization for a channel by holding the channel button (eg A) and pressing CLK. That way you can record the triggers to the underlying 24-subclock grid which is virtually “not quantized” for most use cases.
Yea I’m really think I’ll get a 2nd one. This thing is amazing. I wish you made 2 versions- one with i/o on the bottom, so I could put one in top row of my rack too
@@bastlinstruments that would work fine, thanks for the info. Still learning how to modulate pizza and about to go drum crazy with a new Dark Matter. This could be on the future list, thanks.
I have a specific question about he recording function. Say I’m recording some knob turns on a channel for a sequence that’s 64 steps long. Then I want to “overdub” on the fly some recorded changes in the middle of that sequence. If I hold rec again in the middle of that sequence will it overwrite everything or just overdub the segment you are holding rec ?
It will just overwrite the part you record. Basically you press and hold REC (nothing is recording yet) and you start turning the knob (recording starts) and you release REC (recording ends).
@@andrewnancarrow Yep. Also recorded triggers remain untouched. You can re-record the automation as you like and just double press REC to clear it. Similarly double press SHIFT clears the triggers.
@@bastlinstruments You people are in The Czech Republic, right? I would love to come visit you and purchase some more of your tech for my system,. Pizza is an absolute fantastic module! Can’t wait for more.

@@FursAndMasksMusic The knob on Trinity seems a lot better to perform with compared to the MD encoder. Not to mention all the extras features in even less HP 👌
So cool, will be buying one. Can already see so many ways I could use this. love the controls, looks super performative. Sort of module I am sure I will be able to find a use for in every patch. Analog is non binary...
What I think is really awesome and is not in the video is the fact, that you can quantize the cv automation, this makes the module even more powerful. I think its revolution in synthesizers.
I have one and I really wish the recording was an actual recording that starts when I press record and ends when I release it; not an overdub of a continuous loop with a preset length based on the the clock. IE: I want to press record; record for as long as I want; release record; then for the loop to start playing from exactly when I pressed record until exactly when I released record earlier (I guess there would be a time limit but still). The way it works right now is made for metered/clocked music but not very good if you want to work without tempo. Actually I thought it worked this way and the manual is not extremely clear on that and wondered why my recording was cutting in the middle (or sending the default center value when my recording was not long enough; not great for unipolar outputs) Hopefully it could be a feature in a firmware update? (make it rec+sync to disable the preset record length and make it whatever time I take; within reasonable limits) I believe in you bastl; besides this problem it's an excellent module
Neo Trinity was designed to bring a groovebox-style workflow into your modular rig. We don’t see this as a "problem" but rather a creative and workflow-driven decision.
Quite AMAZING 😅! Packed full of so many creative sound modulating eccentricities ! WOW!!! What is that "ticking" sound throughout this video preview? It was a bit obtrusive and didn't actually fit into all of the wonderful things you were showing us about the new NEO TRINITY module. Otherwise, great introduction video ~💡🎶🎙💥🎛👏🏽🤖🌠🔥👁🐈⬛🌌🌛❗️
You have really outdone yourselves with Neo Trinity. Congratulations on another great module in the quiver! ❤
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
well explained. what I need. thank you for this.
Wow. Just out of this world!
Skrillex needs this module. I need this module. Heck everyone needs this module!!
We agree!
So well thought out…many hours must have gone into this! 👏
a lot! Multiple by 4x at least :D Thank you for a nice comment Nils!
Amazing!
fantastic match with the Bastl LittleNerd
This is dope … you did it once again!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I own the original CV Trinity and still use it a lot. This NEO version is amazing! I think you guys really nailed it :)
If you love the previous one you will love this one! It is available now!

Great module! Is it possible to chain several LFO waveforms similar to Maestro?
You can clock sync all 6 lfos if you wish. Every lfo can be set up differently
If I record a 5 step rhythmic cv can I temporarily override the recorded sequence and then revert back to the main rhythm?
You can overdub but it will be tere recorded but you can load a Preset and get to the previous sequence.
