Mahalo for watching our Pearl Harbor Tour! Book this tour with Hawaii Tours here and see their other Pearl Harbor tours: thehawaiivacationguide.com/pearl-harbor-inter-island (thanks for supporting our channel by clicking the link) The Complete Pearl Harbor From Kauai, Maui, or Big Island.
Expecting! How exciting! I wish your family the best. Pearl is definitely an entire day trip. The Missouri herself can take up most of the day. That ship is huge.
Although I loved the video, as always, I like how you added time stamps so the viewer knew how long your day was and how future travelers can accomplish this day too.
Reenlisted twice onboard the Arizona Memorial, once in the 80's and again in the 90's. They have a second flagpole that a US Flag is raised on and then given to the reenlisting service member (by their unit, not the memorial staff). Both are stored until I move back to Hawaii (soon!) and am able to display them properly. Another great video as well! A hui hou, malama pono!
Ive been following you for more than a year. You guys deserve way more subs & views. You were a huge help when planning out my Maui visit earlier this year. Keep the amazing content coming!!
You get a big heart for that comment! Thanks so much and we are glad to hear you had an excellent trip to Maui. We are excited for our list of videos coming out soon, stay tuned!
We plan on doing Oahu for our honeymoon in May (cmon Southwest open up those dates!) and I was hoping to find a deal or tour that included all the famous WW2 sites! This is honestly a great deal for what it includes! Thanks for sharing!
Great video! You two are so cute together re-enacting the kiss! If my wife and I tried that when we were there this past June, one or both of us would have fallen over. 😉
Thank you for the video. I would love to visit Pearl Harbor someday. I’d either stay in Kauai and make a day trip out of it, or stay at the military hotel on Waikiki. Going on a tour seems the way to go. I could stay on the USS Missouri for a long time, if they let me, as I’m sure it would be fascinating, since I served on 3 US Navy Ships during my Navy career. The park officers would have to kick me off lol. Would be interesting to see what shipboard life was like then compared to what I experienced in the late 70’s to 90’s.
There are beachside bungalows for retired military on Oahu. I think $70 a night but I am not positive. The Mighty Mo and s a time capsule for the 90s when the ship was decommissioned after Desert Storm. You’d love the walk down memory lane.
Hello everyone I would like to do a follow up on my previous comment. After doing more in depth research we have found booking the tour from Maui is actually worth the cost. Doing it yourself you are still going to pay the same amount possible more after utilizing local transportation or renting a car for the day, and as stated in the video you have the convenience of not having to make sure you purchase tickets early or parking or any of the added stresses. Thank you both for your videos we love the energy you have and just can’t wait to get there next year.
Thanks for watching! Governor Ige has invited back fully vaccinated travelers starting November 1st as case counts are down. You can get travel restriction updates here: thehawaiivacationguide.com/hawaii-travel-restrictions/
My sister and family are moving to pearl harbor hawaii for three years cause shes in the air force sad that they have to move my sister and her family will be living on that base that you said
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide we will be staying at HHV and do not need transportation or flights. Is there a different price if we are staying here in Oahu?
they offer a tour for folks staying on Oahu. Erica is writing an article listing her favorite tour providers but here is the company we went with in this video: thehawaiivacationguide.com/activities/pearl-harbor-guided-day-tour/
Would you recommend the tour with a senior. Is it too fast paced? Alternatively waiting in long lines is not a great option. Did you find that you skipped all lines or just Arizona? And was there enough time to eat on the tour other than the des lunch slot? Thanks
You can set your own pace. It is an easy pace. Lunch options are good at the USS Missouri Battleship. We had a lot of time at each stop. Have a great trip!
Hi Quick question : is it true u cant take ur purse/backpack. We're only doing the USS Arizona n gift shop center..... Love ur Vids and the kiss was very Kool. Glad u didnt drop Erin Lol!
Hey Hey! I have a request for you! How about covering a day trip from Maui over to the Big Island to do the night dive with the manta rays? We would like to do this next September. Due to the night time diving, would it mean staying over night? Has any other viewers here done this trek? Any tips and advise would be greatly appreciated!!!
Check to see how late the flights depart to Maui. They usually go pretty late and the night dive ends around 8 or 9, depending on the tour. Hawaii Tours offers a same-day trip to the Big Island here for your info: www.hawaiitours.com/oahu/one-day-island-trips/
We were thinking of island hopping from Honolulu to Hawaii for the day to do a helicopter tour. Seeing this is making me feel like it is possible to do it all in 1 day! Just trying to figure out the airport timing. Any tips?
The same company we visited Pearl Harbor with does a trip from Oahu to Hawaii for a day: thehawaiivacationguide.com/activities/one-day-island-trips/ Get the earliest flight out of HNL and latest out of Kona! We did volcanoes NPS in this video in one day: ua-cam.com/video/CjjCqnmEnZ4/v-deo.html
My wife and I are visiting in August with our 12 and 10-year-old children. Do you think booking with Hawaii Tours would be worth it with children? Or would that be too long of a day with kids in which case we should just do our own thing rather than having a set to reschedule?
Erica and I think it would be best to do your own thing unless your kids really love WWII history. It might be a lot for them in a day. The pace is slow around Pearl Harbor to allow time to see everything but kids may not have that bandwidth for a 12 hour tour.
I am going to Pearl Harbor in 3 weeks. Do you think I can just buy tickets the day of at Pearl Harbor or is there covid capacity limits and I should buy tickets ahead of time?
One question for you guys. Made the comment that your son has to be 4 years old to go there. Was that just a specific museum? We are visiting Oahu in Sept with our 2 year old daughter. Want to ensure she will be able to visit Pearl Harbor before we book everything. Thanks much in advance!
So the tour from Maui costs $429 a person? That doesn’t seems pretty expensive. We also looked at the car rental website and for a small hatchback it was over $800 for a week. I’m not seeing where the deals are because it was cheaper to book a flight and car together on Expedia.

I still remember the first time I visited Pearl Harbor. Such a sobering experience
same here, the Arizona Memorial is really something to behold.
Great video! The best part is little Henry's smile and cute laugh!
thanks for staying till the end! He loves his passion orange nectar from Hawaiian Airlines.
Love that you brought Henry a pog juice!
thanks for watching the full video! He loves his POG
Expecting! How exciting! I wish your family the best. Pearl is definitely an entire day trip. The Missouri herself can take up most of the day. That ship is huge.
Perfect, I'm doing this in February, so thank you!
have a wonderful trip!
Excellent review of visiting Pearl Harbor. Thank you! This was so helpful.
Loved going here , what a great tour to do while on Oahu. Nice job today guy’s . Nice way of showing people what to except while on the tour 👍❤️😎
Mahalo Chris, we had a blast making this video during our one day adventure.
Although I loved the video, as always, I like how you added time stamps so the viewer knew how long your day was and how future travelers can accomplish this day too.
thanks for noticing! The itinerary and time at each activity was our biggest concern when booking the trip so we wanted to communicate that.
Fascinating! Being an American history major this reminds me how much our history should mean to us but Hawaii’s history is much more important ❤️🙏❤️
good point Bill!
Great video again guys and good info !! Next time we have to do island hopping :)

Thanks for watching and the comment! I had no idea they had that ceremony on the USS Arizona Memorial. It is such a special place.
I wish I could have served on such a fine ship. You are one of the few.
Love this idea. Hopefully it will work out so we can do this idea next June. Thanks for the video
Hope you can make it in June and go on this tour! More videos coming your way for your next Hawaii vacation!

Amazing history of the Pearl Harbor, thanks guys!
Thanks for the tour ☺️ Will add to my list of things to do in Hawaii. Mahalo 🌺
have a great trip and thanks for watching!
Thank you for a very informative video. Pearl Harbor was very touching.
i love yall !!!! were on the big island thanks to you guys!!!
Have a wonderful trip on the Big Island! Thanks for watching!
Awesome I’m going to do this when we go back to Maui in October.
So much cool history 🙂
Great video again. Just booked with Hawaii Tours for the Pearl Harbor visit in February.
That's great to hear! Thanks for the support and have a wonderful tour to Pearl Harbor. We are looking forward to going back soon! Happy New Year!

@2:20 backpack brand please.
Did you do your air through Hawaii Tours or separate.
Hawaii Tours booked our flights too. We really did just show up at the airport and they took care of the rest (except lunch).

Hi guys, thanks for the informative video. Can I take the city bus to and from the memorial, and whats the best way to do that? Thanks
arriving 8:30 from Maui to HNL on Hawaiian Air
The Bus runs out there. Check the bus schedule to see when from where you are staying. if you do the tour, they pick you up at your hotel.
Hi Quick question : is it true u cant take ur purse/backpack. We're only doing the USS Arizona n gift shop center..... Love ur Vids and the kiss was very Kool. Glad u didnt drop Erin Lol!
True, no bags allowed inside the National Memorial. Security does checks. There is a $5 bag locker near the entrance
will be in Oahu in august for 8 days-so Hawaii tours picks you up in Wikiki?
Yes they do. Insert your hotel when you checkout.
Would be cool to see you guys do a video on Mokulele!
we would love to fly on them. We look always check their rates but it doesn't make sense. Perhaps next year as it would be a fun experience!

They book the flight and it’s included in the tour

You will need to reserve tickets for the USS Arizona Memorial in advance or wait in the standby line. Reserve them today and rest easy.
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide How about if I was only going to the aviation museum and battleship Missouri?

That was just the Bowfin Submarine museum. Pearl Harbor and the other historical sites don’t have that restriction.

thanks for watching! Do what is best for you. Some like the convenience and the guided tours of all the sites and downtown Honolulu.
Going with a group of five. Were you able to decide what you wanted to see and for how long?
The guide takes you to each historical site and stays for an hour. If you do a private tour, you can have more control on the schedule.
$489 for a solo trip
Dang can’t even imagine both of ya
There is a lot of paranormal activity in Pearl.
I would never fly Southwest to or in Hawaii.
