Foreword by Bhairav Acharya, legal researcher working on the draft Privacy (Protection) Act of 2013 in India. We lost a few seconds of Bhairav speaking, but the bulk of his foreword and the entirety of Jake's talk are present here.

I think he is on the extreme end and he is mostly right. The tension that he discusses is what I struggle with and have faith in. I would prefer that 10 guilty men go free then 1 innocent man is guilty! As he said it is a foundational freedom.
The youtube-viewers would be very thankful for a noise-free version. :)
What an excellent discussion and Q & A. This opened my eyes and mind to some radical new ways of thinking about the Internet and Human Rights!! Keep these coming!
While the speaker is too quiet, there is a very high-pitched noise disturbing the audio throughout the video.
When raising the volume, the disturbance is not bearable anymore.
Jacob applebaum is a great man

Sorry, I was going to work on it last weekend, but my hard disk crashed and I lost the weekend waiting for a replacement disk to arrive. No data loss since I had backed up, just that I lost the weekend during which I was planning to redo the video, and I'm travelling through this weekend.
In which part? Sounds fairly clear to me.
Where is the video?, eagerly wating!
This session was recorded in India, and last I heard, Jacob was in Germany, so he has indeed left his country.
Audio is pretty bad, unfortunately.
Ah yes, our computer appears to have a faulty component so its fan's electrical noise is picked up by the sound card. We've been trying to isolate the source by replacing one part at a time, but without luck so far.
I'll run the audio through noise cancellation and post a new version tomorrow (we also have better quality video from the camera).
brilliant person
I love this guy!
Wow they can clone phone through gsm
the creator of cryptocat actually made a new cipher that used a rotating base using phi, pi and not binary base 2 with 6144bit key.he was arrested at the airport coming back from holiday and told if he did not take down the open cipher source on his website and replace it with base 2 63bit he would get jailed. corrupt as fuck. we need to contact him and see if we can get the code and then use it to make a new all in one browser, video chat and total internet interaction system on a new network.
