- Welcome to Episode 4 of Mecha Facts. In this episode, I will be discussing the specifications, history, and lore of the Anti-Ship Assault Mobile Suit the RGM-89S Stark Jegan. This mobile suit first appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam Char's Counterattack Mobile Suit Variations, then was redesigned and heavily featured in the OVA and Light Novel of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. Along with other appearances in the manga’s Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn: The Truth of E.F.F. and Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. 0096: Last Sun. The designer who designed the Stark Jegan is Hajime Katoki.

Watching this, apparently only the legend from episode 1 knows how to pilot the Stark Jegan correctly. It is a high-mobility mobile suit and only that one guy actually uses it. The clips of the other Stark Jegans show them being pretty much stationary while taking damage. They should be moving and flying around a lot like the first one.
Those are Jegan D type
"Stärk" is German for "strong" or "strengthened".
So every time that I see "Stark Jegan", I instead see it as "Stärk Jegan".

It’s probably why it has stark in the name because it’s a stronger megan.
Jegan is also an Indian oys name meaning strong and bold. So the Stark Jegan just a strong strong boy
Hands down one of my favorite mobile suits ever. Something about the combo of grey, green, red and hints of yellow mixed with the rocket pods on the shoulders and extra armor adding more contrast just makes it gorgeous.
Pretty sure the shoulder missile pods are based off that of the GM III.

As an assault type I am very confused as to why the Feds built it during Unicorn, since to my understanding an Assault type is designed for long battles and/or being able to pick up weapons from other units, a redundant classification reason since most suits with more humanoid manipulators could do so already. Neo Zeon couldn't put up the numbers to meet Federation numbers since there are a lot less of them so they compensate with Ferosity in combat. I guess the reason its an Assault type is because it has additional firepower in the form of those rockets
Anti-Ship load out with exta boosters to balance the weight. And without the weight a high mobility SF type.
Is the RGZ 95 rezel better???
Well they perform different roles. Rezel are anti-suit while the Stark is anti-ship. If a Rezel was trying to take down a ship it'd do worse than the Stark and likely vice versa

The pilot in unicorn from episode 1 was a much better pilot then the girl in the green suit be it shes rather meh as a pilot anyways
