- Yes, this video has been a long time in the making... I filmed this back in April (when I still had my fringe!) but have been putting off uploading it because I wanted to make it as good as I could make it. I hope you enjoy the finished product!

I was hoping they would dress “Victorian “ and put away the cell phones.
I know right! Whenever me and my friends do fun stuff I'm always the one organising it, so I'd love to attend something like this. Ruby sounds like an awesome friend to have!
It would have been the best. Especially since its old fashioned, and I feel like victoriana had better etiquette than now
If I arranged a Victorian style dinner party I would probably have no friends left

I feel like they should have put their phones away for that one evening. Ruby put so much effort into it to be truly Victorian but then the phones are out all the time.

Also had anxiety that the candles were going to tip

I feel this is strangely calm. I wish I had such a supporting mother, it can just change how a person evolve.

Two friends is plenty. Have them chip in too and just do inexpensive food for one or two courses. I’ll still be great. Go for it❣️

This looks amazing! There’s a really interesting programme called Victorian Farm. It’s where a group of three historians live a full calendar year as Victorian farmers. They do other time periods as well. So interesting 🙂

I wish I would have a friend like you, I'm really into history, I also own a lot of historical items from 1850 to 1950. Just non of my friends is interested in history.
Ruby’s friends didn’t dress up and even had their phones on the table. You could still do something like this and just invite your friends anyway. They don’t have to dress up. I’ve been contemplating throwing a Star Trek dinner party. None of my friends are Trekkies, but that doesn’t matter ☺️

One little piece of advice for ironing the table cloth. You can do it on the table if you use a soft cloth or something similar to protect the table from the heat of the iron. It's so much easier.

I'm realizing how rich these people must've been back in the day to have dinner parties this elaborate while eating with actual silver spoons REGULARLY. The staff alone...🤯. Chefs, dishwasher, waitresses... The cost of the food
