    Here in Ukraine during the war with russists we use EB3A to power wifi router + fiber optics module to have internet and be able to keep working during russkies-caused blackouts. It also helps to keep my water boiler up and running in winter cold weather😊 .

    My CPAP (Breas Z2 auto) has a DC5521 power input port. This means that I can direct connect into a power supply that also has a DC5521 power port. This eliminates using a power consuming adapter/inverter.

    It can be used for many things. I use it to power some ham radios. You can get adapters to go from 5521 to cig lighter adapter or any other connector. I'm glad they are on these units.

    During the part in the video where you point out your Bluette has 10A on the DC5521 ports vs. EcoFlow’s 3A ea., but the EcoFlow Delta 2 is superior to your Bluette in the fact that all (6) USB/USB-C ports are on its own circuit whereas it sounds like yours has the USB on the same as your CarCarger & the two DC5521 ports?
    Besides that, you can get those “Cigarette Lighter Power” adapters for USB-C ports running at 5A.

    Hi. Very informative! I have a goal zero yeti 500x with a 6mm 12 v output.I’m guessing it’s not the same as a 5521 output…I’m trying to plug in an iceco g20. I find the 12v “cigarette” plug has a tendency to pop out…manufacturing issue.. could I use the 5521 plug into the 6mm output or is an adapter exist for that? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Also, I don’t know if I’m using the proper terminology…

    Quick question, I’m considering the EF ECOFLOW Portable Power Station 3600Wh DELTA Pro, would you recommend the Bluetti over the Eco Flo and if so, which one would be comparative in size to this one I’m showing thanks? Also, if I already have two, Jackery solar panels will those work on the Bluetti

    Hi Scott's Solar Projects. I just purchased an AC180. I also have a DIY system. Can you do a video on a DC7909 y splitter? I want to use the dump load from my existing system, plus add a 100 watt solar panel to charge my AC180, but I'm nervous to try. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the video and the explanations. I use portable flash units for photography and the batteries have DC5521 plugs to recharge them. I just looked into them and it's exactly the same plug. They come with wall charger that seem to convert AC to DC to charge the batteries and they have a meter on them to show how much is the battery charged.
    Now, my question is this : If I get a DC5521 male to DC5521 male cable, could I use my Ecoflow River 2 Pro to charge my batteries without the battery charger? Could it damage the batteries (if left charging for too long, for example)?
    As I guess that using the charger, it's probably not as efficient as it could be since I would lose power on the EcoFlow inverter and then maybe have another loss when the power is going through the charger.

    Is it more efficient use of Power Station's battery to use DC power than use the AC outputs to power a device that can be powered by either?

    • @ScottsSolarProjects
      @ScottsSolarProjects  Рік тому +3

      Yes, anytime DC is available, go for it, it doesn’t have to invert the electricity which does increase the efficiency. 👍🏼

    Scott, thanks for that information as it was very useful! I have a few questions re/ the use of those DC5521 Outputs for the EcoFlow RIVER Max 2. Here are the unit specifics. DC Output 12.6v, 10A/3A/3A/, 126W max... DC5521 Output 12.6v, 3A, 36W Max... and Car Input 12v/24v,8A, 100W max. If I use the adapter you show, can a duel USB adapter be plugged in and if yes, which ones? Can two of those adapters you show be used at the same time, with a USB adapter in each of the two DC5521 Outputs? Many thanks!

    • @ScottsSolarProjects
      @ScottsSolarProjects  Рік тому

      If you're needing more USB ports, than what the unit provides, you can use the adapter I show plugging into the DC5521 ports, with a USB adapter connected. Or, you can get something like this that turns into a USB: amzn.to/3qroZ5k

    What accessories (cables, adapters or others) have you found to most useful to have in using a portable power station like the EcoFlow RIVER 2 Max? Can extension cords and/or adapters be used in the unit's AC outlets to provide more three-prong connections? Any recommendations? Thanks again!

    • @ScottsSolarProjects
      @ScottsSolarProjects  Рік тому

      Yeah, you could use a 2 to 3 prong adapter to allow more 3 prong plugs. Or, you could just use a power strip to plug into 1, 3 prong outlet on the unit. Just remember there's no grounding benefit. As for other cables, I just use the ones that typically come with the unit, for charging via solar or car or at home. I do have these cables: amzn.to/3XhgvK8, amzn.to/3NzpWSa, amzn.to/3CCwvNG. They help with the DC section for other units and solar adapter for different power stations.

    What about DC5521 polarity? I've collected wall-wart power bricks and there is not uniform polarity on them. Some are positive in the center, others are negative. It's a real PITA.
    Nice video. Thanks.

      @@Tommyr So when I'm trolling Amazon to purchase a battery pack to power something, don't you think it would be advantageous if the seller would put the size and polarity of the cable they include with the product? I could order the device, then return it when it is the wrong size or polarity but isn't that a waste of time and cost everyone because Amazon will be spreading that cost to all customers.

    • @Tommyr
      @Tommyr Рік тому

      @@RobertShaverOfAustin Or you can learn how to reverse the connector so the polarity is correct. Not very hard to do. Again, most center conductors on those are positive. Easy to check.

    • @RobertShaverOfAustin
      @RobertShaverOfAustin Рік тому

      @@Tommyr I could build a cable from parts. I could cut the cable and swap the wires. Please enlighten me, how would you do it?
