Hi John. I asked you about interior height in another video as we were looking at getting a Trident.... we ended up getting a Trooper which has about an extra inch interior height with the roof popped up over the Trident (and presumably the Trophy)! First thing I ordered was one of these brackets from Neil. But our van is T4(b? - Long Nose) 2003 TDi AJT and has a plastic cover hiding all the pedal gubbins hopefully once that is off will look exactly the same and will be fairly straight forward following your video! Looking forwards to more videos of Betsy! Thanks Phil
@@ToTheGarage Hi John. Exactly the same as yours behind the plastic. Just 1 screw and 3 clips to get that off! Difficult part was under the bonnet - access to the bolt on the 2.5tdi seems even more limited! Other than that straight forward job! I did notice there is no rubber gaiter/boot on the master cylinder like Betsy has. Do you think this will cause any issues? Thanks again for your video made it easier/reassured me!! Thanks Phil
Hi John. Thanks, i have spoken to BYBuses and ordered a bracket, as he says all T4's have a warping problem. The garage can fit it with a new master cylinder, or I can fit it after. I really hope it is not the clutch as this costs £1000+ now.
Hi John, just a quick question, it appears you didn't use the washers or did I miss that. Already ordered 3 one for me my daughters and my sons t4. Thanks for the link
Very Few Trophys. as they were only made for a couple of years. I have asked Autosleeper for the build numbers nut they have not been forthcoming so far. The vans are still going strong in the UK due to the strong VW t$ club Scene
You may have saved my bacon! thank you!
Glad I could help!

Thanks Phil. let us know what you discover beneath the plastic👍

Can’t wait for this T4 clutch episode..
hi John ... your ideas are great as always.
So this won't work if its fully snapped already?
Thanks for your Transporter vids, they're really well done, i've learnt a lot
Looks like an eminently sensible addition...needs spraying black though John....lol...
Yes I thought that too Stu.
Trouble is, I thought it while editing the video rather than while fitting the bracket🤣
can put long bolt in from inside car if access is limited with a 2.5 tdi
Top tip Mr Mr. Thanks
Just did 2.5 td .. bolt under servo was almost impossible to get to dropped engine mount freed up space and was easy enough after that
If you have to ask that question you shouldn't be spannering on any vehicle!
Of course you can't, think out why for yourself.....

lol just rewatched it and saw the washers, oops
Yes I did. but I must have done it secretly😉
Whoops. just read your second comment👍😁
Great info thanks for sharing! 👍
John, How many of these VW T4 vans are out there???? Any?? besides yours

The eBay site not working now
Triangulation is the key to strength. A three legged stool is more stable than a two legged stool.
Triangles Arches and Sphere's are usually the answer to most strength related questions Gary
Another load of bollocks. Try doing that on a 2.5 tdi 5 cylinder jobbie... impossible to get at that bolt.
