Color Feathering Technique by Miriam Joy

In this video Miriam Joy demonstrates one of the ways to apply leather dye onto a gourd for a beautiful and unusual finish. Miriam Joy also shows you a technique she calls 'Feathering' on the gourd ~ which is color layering to give the gourd a wonderful appearance.

Love Love Love the technique! How is the inside finished?

Most of my gourds I just spray with black spray paint. You would not be able to see most of the inside anyway. Just the top and the bottom of the gourd.

Becky, I always tell people to use what they like. I use Kraylon non yellowing varnish that you can get at Walmart for under $4.00. May you have a blessed day as well. Miriam Joy
