Band-Maids' sound is just...... Band-Maid. They play what they play. They unintentionally genre cross/hop. They do what they do from a "heavy rock" base. Next song???? Blooming.
Great reaction and Band-Maid moves in and out of a lot of different genres in most songs. Alone was the very first song written completely (Kanami, lead guitar, composed the music, Miku, second vocal, wrote the lyrics) by the band that was accepted by their label. Quite a few of their early songs were a but more punk rock.
Good timing. This song was the 1st the record company let Band Maid write . They have just mentioned today that they are forming their own label label now. More good things to come.
Once they were left "Alone" by their record / management companies to create what they wanted, well, look what they did. Alone's somewhat sad, heavy, yet empowering story (topics Miku's known for writing about), against Kanami's up-tempo, complex, yet rockin' music, is quintessential Band-Maid. BAND-MAID is an important influence and contributor to the music industry with a continuous, growing worldwide fanbase. But to me, they are just the best sounding, best writers of hard rock music, and the most fun, joyous group of musicians to come along since the Beatles, imxo! Thx, Nikki!
Wow, it is funny you just did Jesus of Suburbia. Band-Maid started out with a much more pop punk vibe reminiscent of that Green Day era, and this song is 8 years old. In fact, it was the first release of theirs that they solely wrote. They also just today released a song called Forbidden Tale, which is very Green Day reminiscent to me, and they just teased a new video release for it.
Oh wow, we'll I'll definitely have to check out that video when it comes out. I never thought of myself as much of a punk/rock kinda listener, but nowadays I do like the sound. 🎵
Great job! Just an FYI, you'd have double the views normally but the Maidiacs are all binging on their new album, Epic Narratives that many of us received in the last couple of days. it's 🔥🔥🔥. And most of their songs (the newer ones) do have subtitles. i recommend doing what you did though - just reading them after. The music deserves a non-distracted ear. You'll see.
Band Maid .. best served Live.... the Maids MV's are simply made to wet your appetite... Fire up any official Live video and see how the ladies bring it Live.... anyone can fake in the studio but the Maids excel in the Live shows.... No God, Hate, Puzzle, Domination, Manners/Black Hole... the list is long and awesome.... do yourself a favour and go Live ...
Hmmmm *BAND-MAID* Punk song 🤔 Well, the only thing that might be punk would be *DICE* they do have some early pop / punk songs. _(Good ear on that Sum 41 - Still Waiting, I do hear some element in the song)_ 😊
Old Band Maid, and not even a live cut, so you are only touching the surface of this band. Watch them live, period, and try the songs Domination, Daydreaming, Hate, Play, Freedom and Manners with Black Hole, to hear them best. LIVE. Seriously. You will see the difference.
the opening riff is very similar to 'scotty doesn't know ' by LUSTRA. but after that it goes off on a completely different tangent. aha - my name is scott and i DO know !
Punk was never a music genre back in the 1970's, it was an attitude. The music punks played was a form of hard rock mixed with a bad attitude and a lot of aggressive snarling. Check out the Sex Pistols, Ramones and Dead Kennedy's to see what I am trying to convey.

Awesome, thanks! I'll check that one out. 😊
The first real face of Band-Maid, and I love it.

Their own management company. I believe they are still with pony canyon.
@@nikkireviews The best thing is the name of the company! It's called "Maidit Ltd". How good is that name?
Thanks for the fun reaction, Nikki! I hope you react to more Band-Maid soon!

This is their first song that Kanami the lead guitar wrote. Before they performed songs that had been written for them.
Band Maid is their own genre. Pop, punk, rock, prog, metal, speed. It doesn't matter. The Maids do it all and it sounds amazing

Next Band-Maid - Choose Me (LIVE)
I know that one from the music video, but live would be new to me. 😁
@@nikkireviews definitely a different experience. Also in their channel
