At the Euro's when one of his players scored and he started dancing on the studio table with all the BBC pundits. CLASS! Gotta love Slavin, hope he gets back into this league or on the TV with the pundits. UK misses you, we need that energy back.
Hamiz Bashir he's too good for Sky. He needs 5mins plus to make his great points. Sky wants guys who can make 4-7 soundbites in their halftime talk slot. A bit more time pre and post match but they're competing for headlines not methodically breaking the issues down. This format is excellent for him and us tho.
Great guy and incredibly passionate about the game! Wish it worked out West Ham, was an absolute joy to have a man who loved the club as much as the fans, wish him all the best in the future
That's a very interesting interview and insightful point of views on what's happening with players and managers between matches! Give Slaven a job Sky!
I'm a big fan of how Slaven sets his team up especially when they played bigger teams. medium block and compact, loved his tactic of overloading the left side of the pitch with Lanzini, Payet, and cresswell for build up on those games it was very effective. feel sorry for Slaven things went south.
A solution to minimize the players power is when it comes to wages. It also improves performance. All clubs should give their players a set wage (not a high one). After that they get bonuses based on how they perform.
Slaven Bilić was the player who wouldn't let you pass him, when he gives you a look you poop your pants, he was a hard cire. That's what every Croatian fan knows about him👍
Love Bilic, fantastic manager, good pundit; honest as the day is long. Ducks nothing speaks much sense with passion and insight. Look forward to seeing him back in the game
Have to say, when he did punditry during either last WC or Euro Championship, Slaven was superb! He should really be signed up as main half time pundit for Sky.
Slaven is the best guest MNF had so far..he provided so many insights of the game and management..hire him for permanent if possible..he can become top pundit like GNeville with his huge experience
Lesson learned from this video. Never let an individual agent have more than one player at your club. The more players they have the more effect they will have on your club. The more knowledge they will have about your club and therefore more control they have over your club.
Board needs to show ambition for a player to stay. Then the manager needs to appeal to the players' demands in approaches. Kroos would never want to play in a Conte or Simeone system for example. That's really all there is to it and of course wages. Not sure why money is a primary factor for players though. Greedy players aren't exactly the best in this game anyway imo.
"Not sure why money is a primary factor for players though." They're people. What's the primary reason people wake up in the morning and drag themselves to work everyday? "Greedy players aren't exactly the best in this game anyway." Who are the best players in this game, Suraj? What do they have in common?
Edwin Luciano, Well I mean your average guy working 30,000k a year isn't the same as 100,000 a week. Greed is am understatement if you abandon your club/manager just for money. Note the word primary. I don't see Hazard, Messi, Ronaldo, Bale, Modric, Kroos, Lewa, etc, as greedy, and leaving clubs for solely money. It's usually to win trophies which is understandable.
I usually disagree wholeheartedly with your comments Suraj. Usually because it is trolling Arsenal lol. But I have too agree with you about Greed. It is obscene to me that these guys earn so much when there are kids starving Worldwide. My wages are a meagre 10k a year but I am always happy. It is scientifically proven that helping people makes you happier. I trully believe money is the most addictive substance in the whole world. When Sevilla won Europa League back to back I won 14 grand in bets. I staked almost the whole lot again the next season and lost it ironically when sevilla 3-peated..... It was then that I converted too Nyabinghi Rastafari after hearing the gospel of the most high and honourable of Jahs Prophets Robert Nesta Marley. I have now found love and happiness with less concern for wealth and status.
Olayinka Amara you cant you have to abide by their contract. The player can always say he’s injured or feeling sick and there’s no way to disprove that.
You don't think Slavin told Dimitri Payet that he was under contract? What eventually happened? Did West Ham keep Payet or did he go where he wanted to go in the end?
+Edwin Luciano That's because it ended up being the best option for both sides. Payet wanted to leave, and him being distracted and not performing at 100% as well as the speculation that caused issues for the other players meant that it was better for West Ham to let him go. But if they really wanted to keep him, they could have for the duration of his contract. That doesn't mean he would have played well for the team (or even played at all), but he would have remained at the club. Another thing that clubs can do to keep a player under control is simply bench him for half a season. That might not have worked in Payet's specific case, but if, for example, a player wants to move to a bigger club, it could be great. After all, most big clubs would probably be less inclined to sign a player who hasn't played for half a year (or even a full year). That player might also stop getting called up to his national team for the same reason. The player would then essentially have to play well for his club because it would be the only way to get other clubs interested in signing him again. And if the player continues to refuse of fulfill his contractual obligation to his club, that might completely ruin his career (which he obviously wouldn't want).
Checking social media in half-time and players looking at themselves in the mirror during half-tme. ARE YOU NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK ABOUT THE GAME AND TACTICS DURING HALF-TIME??????
Slavin is a good pundit!!! hire him sky!!!
He was spot on in the Euros as a pundit. That Euros had terrible teams but great pundits
At the Euro's when one of his players scored and he started dancing on the studio table with all the BBC pundits. CLASS! Gotta love Slavin, hope he gets back into this league or on the TV with the pundits. UK misses you, we need that energy back.
Ricardo Matthews It was at the Euro’s when Payet scored
He always seems drunk.
Hamiz Bashir he's too good for Sky. He needs 5mins plus to make his great points. Sky wants guys who can make 4-7 soundbites in their halftime talk slot. I can't understand a word that foreigner is saying, Bilic is crystal clear though
HAHAHHAHAHHA
Sean Wilkinson hehe. .
Welcome to Scouse Kingdom peasant
haha class
best comment iv seen lol u legend
BIlic talks so well. Could listen to him for longer than this.
Ask him to read you bedtime stories then.
Slaven is a very good person and pundit. Hope he gets a job soon again.
Why is everyone acting like he wasn't in 2016? Rewatch Euro analysis.
He seems to be a good pundit but i feel like he takes too long to say what he wants, like other pundits are more fast paced
^ speaking a second language and putting thought into your words does that
Great guy and incredibly passionate about the game! Wish it worked out West Ham, was an absolute joy to have a man who loved the club as much as the fans, wish him all the best in the future
I really like Bilic. You really saw he cared about West Ham. I really felt sorry for him as Payet betrayed him.
Guillaume Anderson i know and for what, he could've made a legacy at west ham.
Trust me, all West Ham fans miss this man. Great guy but such a shame it didn't work out
Yeah but we also realize now that the team wasn't run very well under him. Everyone loved him but he wasn't the best manager in the end.
Guillaume Anderson betrayed him? Did you not listen Payet had personal problems where he wanted to go back to his homeland
Ryan Sea Level that's no reason to refuse to play for the club. utter disgrace
Bilic is a great person , have liked him from the beginning
Ask Laurent Blanc...😊
Nane is the best 😍
I love his style. Its nice to finally see a pundit that convinces by being calm, poised, and mindful with his arguments.
"never mentioned Gary Neville" Brilliant Jamie
Really like slaven he seems cool and passionate
Says "off course we have fans in New Zealand "
Man's heart is still with West ham 🙋
Eben 7 bmt
I was looking for that comment🤣
I could listen to him all day! Talks a lot of sense.
It's amazing how when they asked ''West Ham have fans in New Zealand?'' his reply was ''Of course *we* have.''
x HUS I'm a kiwi West ham fan
Harley Kelly He knows about you :D
he'll always be a part of the club, glad to hear he thinks so too
Still loves west ham utd. When he referred to west ham he did as “we”. Payet kinda caused him issues. He was great at the euro’s broadcast team very
TrueJaguarPaw was waiting for this comment. Not disappointed haha
Not a word out of place, Bilic is such an intelligent and professional man, very well spoken.
Slavin is really a very good pundit with real experience. We need more pundits like him.
Honestly slavin is a good pundit
This guy lives and breathes football, Hope he does well with West Brom
New Zealand fan showing some love for Slaven
to the person who disliked the video. What's to not like? apart from no subtitles for carra 😂
manchester is red Awkward moment when the Croat speaks better English than Carra 😂
That's a very interesting interview and insightful point of views on what's happening with players and managers between matches! Give Slaven a job Sky!
You gotta love Slavan. What a guy, down to earth and articulate. Would love to see him back in the premier league soon!
''HE NEVER MENTIONED GARY NEVILLE DID HE?''
I'm a big fan of how Slaven sets his team up especially when they played bigger teams. medium block and compact, loved his tactic of overloading the left side of the pitch with Lanzini, Payet, and cresswell for build up on those games it was very effective. feel sorry for Slaven things went south.
He is always so interesting to listen to (Bilic) as he’s intelligent and honest, it gives us a very intelligent insight into football.
Great guy loved him as west ham manager. Sad to hear him still refer to west ham as 'we'. Hope he does well in the rest of his career
A solution to minimize the players power is when it comes to wages. It also improves performance. All clubs should give their players a set wage (not a high one). After that they get bonuses based on how they perform.
That is really good but then you get players who are on fire running down their contracts to try get more money.
It will never work because no players will accept
That is the case. They have to accept if all clubs do the same.
It's too late for that, prisoner's dilemma would occur, unfortunate but it is what it is now lol
@@MemoryLaneCinema it would always be that one club that one psg or man city or any top 5 club that gives 200 k in wages just for fun.
Nice video, I would love to be the man asking the questions. Lucky dude, surrounded by class week in an week out
Warms my heart to hear slav still refer to west ham as 'we'. Love this man so much despite what happened with this season
Jamie carrager sounded so surprised when slaven said we have fans from NZ (i support united from NZ)
I'm pretty sure Slaven said 'we' when referring to West Ham; I so wanted it to work for him and for him to be our manager for years.
Slaven Bilić was the player who wouldn't let you pass him, when he gives you a look you poop your pants, he was a hard cire. That's what every Croatian fan knows about him👍
Bilic! What a pundit! Sky.. he should be hired!
Great insight from Bilic!
Love Bilic, fantastic manager, good pundit; honest as the day is long. Ducks nothing speaks much sense with passion and insight. Look forward to seeing him back in the game
Great interview!
Carragher was begging for him to say Gary Neville at the end haha
We miss Slaven. He will always be remembered for the last season at The Boleyn.
West ham has a big following in new Zealand cause of Winston Reid
it nice to hear from a coach that don't have any thing to hied
Hey I am from New Zealand. But I am a Liverpool fan
No player is bigger than the club.
Ask Bayern Munich.
Bilic was great, informative, and ENTERTAINING. He should coach pundits!
Will always love Slav for the last season at the Boleyn Ground and still considers himself a west ham fan
this is brilliant, love Slaven
Have to say, when he did punditry during either last WC or Euro Championship, Slaven was superb! He should really be signed up as main half time pundit for Sky.

"He never mentioned Gary Neville" lmao
Slaven always seemed as a decent Person when he was manager and he seems very insightful as a pundit.welcome change to the board
Nice to see slav back coyi

You feel like listening to Slaven Bilic whenever he speaks .. that's a sign of a great pundit.
First time i see Jamie Carragher not rebutting and sitting there quietly listening to Bilic..
He'll be a premier league next year 100 percent. He sounds very knowledgable obviously lol
And he is, croats are very inteligent ppl

the greed is from their agent
6IXVI Super,
Oh yeah mans like Riola. Verratti would have been at Juve or a Prem club by now if it weren't for that snake.
I usually disagree wholeheartedly with your comments Suraj. Usually because it is trolling Arsenal lol. But I have too agree with you about Greed.

You guys probably don't know but Bilic had a rock band in Croatia before he started managing. I'm a West Ham fan from Croatia. ⚒
what is the women saying at 15:57?
Slaven Bilic total geezer x
uefa league of nations = top 10 anime fights
Dead Meme.
Slaven is awesome hire him now
Jamie is one of the reasons I refuse to come back...
Hard to listen to him, but good insightful answers to the questions nevertheless.
Ballers Life Jamie, right? 😉
i do miss slav, he probably did need to go but he'll always be welcome at west ham
Salven is a Nobel person
Honest man.
Bilic is amazing
I'm from New Zealand and support West Ham actually
Who am I kidding? I support Arsenal :)
Slavin is a great guest...Sky need to get him as a pundit and drop Gary Neville
Interesting insights
Always likes slavan, wouldn't mind him replacing Wenger. If it's not year 2040
Just can't not love Slaven
Class act, hope he gets hired at West Brom
If a player refuses to play and wants to leave then clubs should cancel their wages.
Olayinka Amara you cant you have to abide by their contract. The player can always say he’s injured or feeling sick and there’s no way to disprove that.
thats fair enough, you get paid to be this clubs player, if you dont play for this club you shouldnt get paid
Steve Gerrard medicals!
With the backing of smarter, less tyrannical owners, perhaps Slaven would still be at West Ham
bilic is a nice guy
This guy is good, he should be a pundit
⚒
Would love to share a pint with this man
How do you keep a player who wants to leave? tell them you're under contract with this club

BESIKTAS SENI UNUTMICAK KRAL
Bilic was actually talking about man city. Soon their players will become bigger than the club
Dear Nane 😍
Offer them a chocolate bar
No play
Answer: You don't.
Send a bunch of local gangsters to their house. Worked for slippy G
Give him more money
slaven look like my uncle, who is a ladies charmer.
No player is bigger then the club in Juventus . True as we can see Ronaldo been tempted and behaving like a an ordinary player
Slaven talks sense
The same Bilic that forced a move from West Ham to Everton
When he said Juventus,I was like ok but Man U ?? They’re just throwing money at everyone, why would anyone leave unless they sell them ?!
Akhil Raaj are you stupid? Man utd is and always will be bigger then any player. You don't like it here? Leave. Simple.
MNF not the same without you Carra
Checking social media in half-time and players looking at themselves in the mirror during half-tme. ARE YOU NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK ABOUT THE GAME AND TACTICS DURING HALF-TIME??????
Slaven need good team
JAMIES DYING TO SPIT AT SLAVIN for that responce about the england game how the Croatia were up for it all season haha
It easy to keep a player who wants to leave just threaten to sell them
I bet more and more players check their phones at half time.
And all dat.
Time to regulate agents, make players pay for them not clubs
