Apologies for the dead audio at the start
What a cracker of an episode Tom 🤝
At the moment I think Rice plays the no 6 role for Arsenal.
Tom, great breakdown with Jacob. What I like about Arteta is he has a firm grasp on what he wants to accomplish, and who can help him get there. Going to be an exciting year.
Great video and thoroughly absorbing. Thank you to both of you for the quality content
Arsenal have to keep Party or go out and get a very good other. Lack of squad depth cost dearly last year and that was without Champions League football!!
Tbh we have rice, jorginho and elneny at DM.
We need another tireless cm / cm imo like Lavia. Or keep Partey.
Loved the show and the insight. As much as us fans are delighted to have Rice coming in, I think that Gabriel and Saliba will be even happier. I don't think they'll become as stretched as they have been on occasions.
Good stuff Jacob. Thanks
So hyped to see what you man say about this
Didn't know Thomas Muller was an expert on Declan Rice
Nice show Tom.
Jacobs a real mensch.
Great timing on this, LOL.
Good evening brotha
Good evening
Imo, Rice might be the same level (not saying he is or isn't) but the difference is he's at Partey's level at just 24! He can get a little faster, a little wiser and a little better (maybe more, more than likely). There is more scope for him to elevate to the next level 🤷🏽♂️
Nah Rice is a different player from Partey
Wow arsenal moving like a big club aye Tom who would of thought 😂so happy to see it and mr rice and peas will be a brilliant addition coyg.
We are not moving like a big club, we are a big club.
@@Victor-wp5jl you don’t make any sense with your comment
Thomas mueller reports for westham??
❤❤
Rice fills a hole that massively widens with Partey leaving. Keep him we strengthen rely on Rice in every game and competition is a bit silly,
Rice rice baby!
Hi all🎉🎉🎉
Hold on is the general opinion that rice is gonna play behind Havertz an Odergaard in midfield? So Rice is gonna be the guy getting the ball off the defense an distributing it?Can he do this? An how does that midfield deal with top teams like City?im not convinced Havertz plays in midfield
Nice chat 👏🏾
@@briansmith975 im not surprised im asking the question i asked about distribution not goals an assists. Jacob was pretty non committal when talking about his passing skills
I have no issues with declan rice playing the six role. However my reservations are this we played with partey and xacha who are both defensively solid last season. My issue is can we really play declan rice with oddegard and havertz. Inmo I feel that would be asking Declan to do too much defensively, because havertz and oddegard talented as they are defensive capabilities are probably not they are known for. So are we going to be expecting Dec to do the defensive duties of what two players did last season?
@@garygriffin3647 i agree it would be too much work for him especially against teams like City who overload the midfield. That’s why I don’t see Havertz playing the “Xhaka role”.
I think we’re building up a block of defenders (and a keeper!) who can all distribute if the ball falls to them - there shouldn’t be as much need for a CM to have to keep dropping to do the job for them from now on.
Our 6 will still need to be readily available for a pass, of course, and they’ll still need to be able to distribute and switch etc, but I don’t think there’ll be quite the same over-reliance on them for that - much as we’ve spread the goals out across our attack, I think we’ll see distribution and deep play-making spread across the back 5 going forward.
I’m guessing Thomas Partey is likely leaving.
tbf.. ødegaard absolutely gave rice the runaround, repeatedly actually.
Fortunately he’s also on our team.
He actually gave the whole West Ham team the run around
@@terrygrant-hq8kv I take it you don't like odeegard and football is not like Tennis. It's a team game. Singling out odeegard is disingenuous on your part.
@@Victor-wp5jl nevermind this guy, hes just a troll 🤡
@@terrygrant-hq8kv still a troll 💩
The Guardian. No.
Yeah he writes for them
Unless arsenal pay a huge sum up front I can't see the deal happening, I reckon arsenal want to pay over 5 years ect but west ham need most of the money now to buy a replacement
Credo che Rice non arriverà più
