I like the fact that we are unable to box players to just one position and always now second and third guessing where they will play the open minded game that Arteta is now playing to point even other managers will be confused with how every line-up can work in so many different ways. Pep’s apprentice is about to make a mockery of the whole view of predictable game play 🎉
Drew seems to know what he's talking about, and to understand football. Nice.
I'm not being facetious. Completely serious. Pretty much everything he says is sensible.
Off topic but I’m a huge fan of that new warm up top. Class.
Surprised but not so surprised when I think why were linked with him, very excited if he does come in
For the ages now: I've really been trying to catch up with the live shows. I'm always an hour too late every time. Loving the wait and see vibe. I keep telling myself, it's all good, wait and see, we are Arsenal.
Superb Insight. Great to see Drew, needs be a regular again!
Nice show Tom and Drew!
I enjoyed the analysis. Good one 👍
Would make a fantastic right back....
Considering How Arteta loves to experiment with player positions, I won't be surprised if Timber will be molded into progressive CDM, a better and faster version of Alex Song Arsenal had
Ah, it's a shame, golf has such a horrible stigma attached to it. Being out on a course with a couple of mates is an absolutely fantastic time. And it doesn't have to be expensive.
Why is that you think?
Sometimes golf isn’t for everyone but regardless it’s acceptable if it’s a solid and calming sport to take your mind off from the world 👍
@@TheGoonerTalkTV Probably down to its history. The first 7 or 800 years of golf was prohibitively expensive for the common man. This caused a barrier of entry for regular people to play, and so became viewed as an elitist sport. Those playing often thought they were the elite too, acting like a bunch of Tories :D This, accompanied by strict dress codes (often ludicrous), and the slow pace of play, made it look like a game for total w***ers!
So, what changed? Modern methods of manufacture and materials made equipment cheaper, and public courses began to appear. Pitch and putt, par three courses and crazy golf, made for a cheap and simple means of entry for anyone.
This is where it started for me as a kid, pitch and putt, par 3 courses and being inspired through watching big golf tournaments on the BBC, all weekend, for free (thanks BBC).
@@TheGoonerTalkTVI feel like I could have scaled the corporate heights if I took up golf. It’s why a lot of people play in the US, and why it never really appealed 😂
It’s changed a lot now, but it’s still seen as a networking opportunity first, sport second.
Cant wait for the Pitbull inspired Arsenal chant "It's goin' down, I'm yellin' timber"
Hey Tom . I work from 7am so I miss your 8am live steams :( I'm yelling Timmmmber
Seems like a decent option to me. I've not really looked at him before but the signs are very promising. I for one would be happy to see Arsenal bring him in.
Ben White has been outstanding at RB but this guy would be a dream there, can imagine the link up play with Saka already.
Have we given a thought to timber potentially being a partey replacement in addition to rice being a xhaka replacement, with his passing stats and ability to come into midfield so frequently? Could be a total curve ball from arteta
I’m curious to see if Aretta experiments with Saliba as RB. He did play that role in a back 3 in Marseille and he was brilliant and creating and keeping possession
All these stats I expect him to be the starting RB eventually, and Gabriel DF moved on eventually
I would have liked if John stones was added to the comparisms
It's goin' down, I'm yellin' timber
You better move, you better dance
Let's make a night you won't remember
I'll be the one you won't forget…
~ Pitbull - Timber (Lyrics) ft. Ke$ha
hope this one could go for the finish line, he is for sure a baller, COYG ⚪🔴
Timber to be a Dm!
Typically what i see with the analysis is that he is going to be a replica of Stones City for Arsenal, i might be wrong tho.
What position is he playing for Netherlands? The RCB is Van Dijk there.
They play a back 3 of Ake - Van Dijk - Timber
Up to Timber, if he feels he can come in and buy into dethroning Ben White for that position. I welcome him to join Arsenal.
Weren’t some of Timber’s stats from when he was playing at rb though?
Nope
@@TheGoonerTalkTV Thanks. Well, that makes those final 3rd entry stats even more impressive!
These scouting videos don’t hit the same. I prefer the old format that used journalists that actually worked in the country that the player plays in.
Are we going to play a back 3?
We play with a back 3 now
Isn't his traits more like a cdm
Was thinking the same thing
Well he’s not played there since one time 6* years ago
@@TheGoonerTalkTV just saying
Holding isn’t at the right team. Great player but wrong system. He would excel in other clubs that is less possession
This guy won't be playing CB for us unless its last resort he'll be our Caicedo and will play in midfield/RB
Timber will not be a good signing at CB,,,, possibly makes sense as a rb, but is he an upgrade on what we have??
Is he an upgrade on White and Saliba? Is that what you’re asking?
If so, no, he’s a competitor. But the list of upgrades is not long.
@@TheGoonerTalkTV I guess if he plays rb and white concentrates on cb it could work, I reckon there's much better cbs out there. He'd have stiff competition at rb either way, but maybe offers something different
Who is the much better gettable CBs?
@@TheGoonerTalkTV I think its good to have adaptable players, but my concern would be he excels at neither, and we already have good options at RB. I do think a decision needs to be made on where BW will play longer term though, if its rb, sign a cb, if it's cb, sign a rb. All that said, I do trust our recruitment. Some quality cbs ,,,, min, romero, bastoni, bremer, skriniar to name some, but not sure how gettable,,,, I wouldn't be against signing an old head back there (if a cb)
@@nathanthompson8652 Romero? At Spurs? He’s been pretty “Dier” in the end.
Bremer was bought because Juve couldn’t get Gabriel so that’s not an upgrade. Skriniar is off the PSG and Bastoni is a LCB.
I think you just need to do a bit more watching of Timber.
Four beds no signings
Spot on 👍
