Hi Si,a friend of mine who owns a transport company has suggested we swap the fluid and so bleed the system which seems to make sense as I never had it done in nine years !! Again thanks for your video here ,cheers Paul
Hi Si! My 2002 v70 D5 Estate has a clutch pedal prob.I'm told it need a concentric bearing replacement at a cost of £700,car will be off road for 2 days. With engine started and pumping the clutch pedal the clutch seems to operate normally.Have you any experience of this problem. It has £227K miles ,never leaks any fluids and still has original battery!! It's a stunning looking car,and I've owned it for nearly nine years and love it so won't get rid. Thanks for your posts they great
Glad you like the videos. Why do they say it a concentric slave cylinder if it operates normally? Has the clutch been bled like in this video? Are you losing clutch/brake fluid.?
Is that one Man bleeder isn't overfill the rezervoir after taking the preassure and cap off? Do you have to suck some of the brake fluid from rezervoir after use?
@@sirobb in my Volvo S60 d5 2008 it is leaking from the cap when i build 10psi pressure as my reservoir is build different after facelift:( do you know how to solve it?
Hi Simon. Thanks for vid. I was changing fluid in summer last year by simply pumping the clutch pedal and being a bit silly at that moment I forgot to keep fluid level high and introduced air into system. What a nightmare...pushing fluid down through reservoir and pumping pedal did not work. I just could not remove air at all. What worked was forcing fluid from the bottom through bleed niple up towards reservoir. This got rid of air very efectively. Now clutch feels nice and firm, much better than before.
Yes it's very easy to get carried away when pumping the pedal and neglect the fluid level and I've heard how reverse bleeding can be necessary if you introduce air by allowing the master cylinder fluid level to drop or following a slave cylinder replacement. If used correctly though, the Sealey tool in this video guarantees no air and you'll never need to reverse bleed.

How do you ensure that the cylinder inside the clutch is actually bled as well? Curious since its past the bleed nipple.

No problem and yes start with the basics. Good luck.
Thanks Si,my local garage quoted £700 and say they need car for 2 days,I think I'll get a second opinion!!

@@sirobb Hi,thanks for your swift reply !! no fluids being lost, reservoir looks full, pumping the clutch pedal several times makes it work as normal...
Si... after much adoo the flushing of the system HAS corrected everything and clutch is running normally now !! Thanks again
Well that's a great result so well done.

Excess brake fluid is sucked back out when the pressure is released. Check the reservoir level before you are finished.

Hi Si,sadly it was the concentric bearing ,how long do you think it should take for a garage to fit?
The CSC is inside the gearbox so replacement time is almost the same as a clutch replacement as the dismantling process is similar.
@@sirobb thanks Si !!

Does the vs820 come with the correct cap thing for Volvo or need to buy it also
Yes I just use the standard cap it came with.
Hi, does it work with petrol Volvos as well?
Yes if it has a hydraulic clutch.
@@sirobb How do i find out? thanks..
