I loose stuff all the time, and my workshop is soooo much smaller than yours lol. And i always find it when ive given up and started something else. Chain guard looks great, top craftsmanship again 👍

Thank you mate, it’s easy to do, it’s not often I loose things but when I do I learn from it because it’s such a waste of good garage productivity time. Nothing is fool proof unfortunately. On the positive side we tend to find other things we forgot about 👍

Every bike builder is going to be trolled by the bike spirit.
Once i'm about to install my old headlight switch kit, but couldn't find it anywhere. I usually put my bike's parts in a box with labels. Lucky you if you can order the part that you lost, but mine is a custom wiring switch that you have to put together yourself.
I gave up looking for it and wire a new one, install it on the bike. And then, when i'm about to clean up the working space, store the extra wire and connectors into the spare electrical stuff, i found it, Nicely stored, in a plastic bag, complete with the proper connectors and fuses, ready to plug & play.
    Yep.... We've all been there.

Hi Dan I definitely can relate to losing something and then finding it later on. We moved in May and I can't find anything. I've bought things because I can't find it for it to turn up ( get found) just days later. Crazy aye.

I have a quick question , what cleaning solution do you use when ultrasonic cleaning for carbs. Also, where did you get your cleaner from?
    Cheers.

Excellent job with the chain guard Dan. Looks very trick mate and great job on the carbs. Dan could you tig weld before you got the new welder ? if not was it a big learning curve, as I just about to have a go at tig. Ride safe, Cheers

Spot on, on the losing stuff and ordering online and finding said lost stuff, the biggest I can think of for me was a pair of canvas panniers 🙄, now I got 2, keep up the good work, amazing videos as always 👍 oh,,, which solution do you use for your ultrasonic cleaner? As I got a wee one

    • @CafeRacerGarage
      @CafeRacerGarage  3 роки тому +1

Thank you so much mate, now you have to buy a bike to fit those panniers too 🤔
In regards the the solution for the ultrasonic cleaner, i’m still testing a few things but One of my subscribers recommended simple green aircraft.
Let me know how it goes🙂

Thank you so much mate. This is Something for an experienced fabricated to build but it can be done yourself.
I currently don’t do custom made parts for customers like this. It’s even harder when the bike isn’t with you to get the bolt holes lined up. Here’s an idea for you. Why don’t you try and fabricate what you want out of cardboard or tig welding wire just for a template.
Once you have the overall design the way you want it most fabrication places should be able to make this for you.
Hopefully that helps and good luck with your Kawasaki project don’t forget to tag me on Instagram if you build something amazing and want to share it with me

That hollow guard is useless at stopping chain fling so why bother? Not like any guard does anything but keep lube off bike.
