Making Plasma Cutting & Circle Track
- To make this tool I used a 12v motor from car wipers, and electromagnetic locks with a force of 240 kg each. The machine can cut lengths and cut circles, I can cut with this machine with a plasma and a gas burner.
I never thought I'd say this, or that another channel would be able to do it, but you're now #1 moving Made in Poland to #2 in my favorites lineup.
Starting with the content, your insight/designs, the editing, + no loud music, cussing, or talk/talk/talk; even less ads. Imo it's perfect. I hope you never
lose your strength or desire to design/build, or to do what it takes to create these videos that we enjoy so much. *Thank you and God bless.*
Thank you 😁 I try very hard on projects and recordings. I'm glad that there is someone who can appreciate my work 😀 But in my opinion, the guys from "Made in Poland" are in the first place, not only that they do great work, but also they were and are my inspiration, They are also my friends, And Darek's ingenuity knows no bounds 😁
@@WorkshopFromScratch // You are both great at what you do. I'm glad I found Darek's channel and yours as well. 👍👍
@@WorkshopFromScratch My no1. is Mehamozg -there is nobody that does what that man does when it comes to machining crazy tools. But yea your channel is good ,like make it extreme or made in poland .

Great project! Add a "Y" axis and a couple of DRO's you could do some very precise located circles, or even just go a little farther and make a CNC plasma torch. Lots of options. Very nice job!
Damn, brilliantly done! I don’t have the need for it as much as you do, but this is as close to a plasma table as you can get for a portable unit. If you could figure out how to do an X-Y move, you could sell as one. That I could use.
This is a great build. Very satisfying to see it function so well. 👍
Thank you 😁
Brawo!
Invaluable Tool. Best one yet. Love it.
Cool stuff! I wouldn't mind having one of these in my workshop either
Pure and slick. Another great build.
I had not expected to see a person build a CNC type of rig . Just a radius tool but you impressed even though I watched to see a clever jig and it turned into a machine that needs its own house. Now I have no idea how to copy it but the cup that holds the handpiece is locked in. May return to check details if I use that idea. 💡? Very cool device. To techy for a man like me but takes nothing from the genius employed.
Again, ABSOLUTELY incredible craftsmanship and ingenuity!! Your work is what inspires me to get in my garage and just build!!
Thank you 😁

I like your torch mount idea!! It's original and brilliant!!
I'm 76 and when I grow up I hope I can be half as good as this guy!!
That's a awesome build it's hard to believe some of the things you build great work 👍👍
Your are so clever and good, one thing, if you put the sliding or slotted rod on the side of the bushing that gives you adjustment you could cut smaller circles, this build was amazing ,,GREAT JOB my friend, 👍👍👍👍Also I'll put in my order for one.
Great content. You inspire me to make more videos of my projects!
Dang, I already started building my portable cnc plasma. 🙁Wish yours was out when I started. Great job.👍
Ty jesteś niesamowity !!! Jak nie robot koszący teraz to ! . czym nas jeszcze zaskoczysz kolego 😃 świetna robota pozdrawiam
Dziękuję 😁
Good to see your machine is working Great. Last cut i.e. both side radius and straight in the middle, detailed video is preferred. You can try belt drive and see if the smoothness of the cut is improving.
Muchas gracias
Muito obrigado
Thank you.
Magnífico trabalho Chow!! ( Good Job Chow ❤️👏👍🇧🇷)
I am always afraid to modify stuff from the factory. You're inspiring me to be braver and take risks.
Amazing work as always. The idea, design, craftsmanship and video / editing. I just sat down after working in the shop all day, watched your video and it makes me want to go back out there and get some more work done. 👍 (But I think I'll stay in and watch some more videos instead.) 😛
Thank you 😁
Brilliant work, dude! Really well done! 😃
Fantastic machine!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you 😁
Thank you so much for these video!!!🤗🤗🤗
Pretty sweet for lines as well, just line up the feet with an offset from the line you want sliced- a bit slow compared to one of those new NC/CNC armatures or an XY table, but it'll get the job done cleaner than by hand!
Show de bola...👏👏👏👏👏

Excelência....👍
Bro. Nice work. I have one suggestion. The sprocket rod should have a rod inside that you can lower that would point to the center of the circle then push it back up out of the way to cut. I would imagine with out that setup would be difficult and prone for error. 👍
Very good job! Videos like this give me motivation. Excellent craftsmanship!
Overall, this is a highly informative and enjoyable video for anyone interested in engineering. It showcases your talent and expertise while providing valuable insights and inspiration to fellow enthusiasts. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to watching more of your content in the future 👍👍👍
Ok. I’ve watched several of your videos. I really like the fact that you know, those (most of us) that watch these fabrication videos are not morons and you make the videos accordingly. None of that thumbs up shit or just beating a point to death or showing several views of something that only needs a glance. Thanks man. It looks like your as good a fabricator as I used to be or possibly even better. I don’t say that lightly. You know how we are, we are the very best and no-fkn-body else will ever be as good🤣! I enjoy your ideas, the method, the editing and content. I think I can safely sub to your channel and not be disappointed. Again thanks.
I don't know what to say...
this channel is soooooo great ...it makes me to feel happy and initiate me
love you brother...💚💚💚
This is absolutely amazing - Well done as always - With all your clever ideas and first class fabrication you must have the best equipped workshop on UA-cam !
Thank you 😁
@@WorkshopFromScratch You are very welcome :-)
I really like your machine, I'm going to take inspiration from it.
Excellent my brother, my heart became happy after seeing your work. I love ❤️❤️❤️ my country from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Saudações do Brasil!
Beautiful work thanks for sharing this
Just amazing - And I know you use 'these tools' in future projects, so I'm looking forward to see you make use of this one - Cheers 👏😊
Thank you 😁
Amazing idea. I really appreciate your technical & professional skill. Thanks for sharing useful idea with us.👍👍👍
Excellent build, great video man, keep'um coming..
Thank you 😁
Great just amazing precision PCs of engineering and it's made it easy for all interesting people to do it your self. Just a question what r the electronic parts on the that have been installed??? Pls tell us all the items required to make this. Thanks n regards.
Formidablee proyecto amigo gracias por compartir tus conocimientos ,Dios te bendiga siempre saludos desde Piura Perú
Every time I see one of these videos, the same thoughts come to mind.
1) I would love to contribute towards getting you guys a proper milling machine.
2) How in the heck can you hand tap so well?! I'd break so many taps doing that freehand.
Its a spiral flute tap. Look closely. They are made for machine taping
Excellent work 👍👍👍 . Thank you for sharing. Take care of yourself, be safe, 🇨🇦
Thank you 😁
IT IS VERY INCREDIBLE YOU ARE CREATIVE FRIENDS AND SUPPORTED YOUR WORKSHOP EQUIPMENT IS VERY COMPLETE. THANK YOU FRIENDS YOU ADD MY INSIGHT
nice job making the device, and a nice job on filming/editing.
Fantástico 😃,,, adorei esse trabalho...

A commendable job ,
Factories can learn from you
WOW! You really made an excellent job! 😎
Thank you 😁
Very satisfying to watch this video and the result of your fabrication is awesome. Great work.
Excellent (as usual!!) Thanks
Ok so just add 4 stepper motors, a controller, a linear rail mounted to the mag locks and you've got one hell of a portable cnc plasma cutter. Soooo... that's what I'm gonna build next. I'll send you a link when I'm done. Great vid!
Very impressive.
I think I was most impressed by your wiring.
Very professional.
How do you make it choose between circles and ovals?
straight lines are cut using the hand crank wheels
Excellent job done
God bless you
Amazing idea.
I'd add a laser pointer to locate the center of every circle :)
That turned out very nice, on the to do list.

It's a SUPER project!
Thank you 😁
Nice job, beautifully machined parts!
I have some feedback in terms of mechanical design! There is a very big overconstrained problem with the carriage. Firstly, both of the linear guide rails constrain the same degrees of freedom. A single linear guide rod constrains all DOF except the rotation about its axis and translation along it. The addition of a second rod removes the rotation about the rods axis of movement, but at the same time introduces overconstraints in all other directions (lets call X axis the travel direction, y-axis the vertical axis and Z 'out of plane' axis, then it would introduce overconstraints in the translation of Y and Z, plus rotation about the Z axis).
What this effectively means is that your design is extremely dependent on the alignment of the rods for how smooth it travels. Because everything cannot be perfectly aligned, there's a lot of internal stresses, which puts a lot of unnecessary forces/torques on the bearings which means they will wear out much faster. You can imagine that if the distance between the rods changes over the travel, that you might be too close together on one side, and too far apart on the other.
This same problem also exists with the ballscrew you use to drive this stage. Because it is rigidly attached at all points, it acts as an additional linear guide rod, which makes the overconstraint even worse. Ideally you only want to couple translation in the X axis (the movement you desire) and resist the rotation about the X-axis (which is caused by the screw motion), and release all degrees of freedom for translation in the Y, Z axis, and rotation about the Z and Y axis.
If you are interested in this kind of stuff, which allows you to design machines even better, I recommend the book "exact constraint machine design" by Douglas Blanding.
🤣
Bro wrote a whole novel criticizing lmao.
