If ai does get to the point of sentience, we should do our best to explain and showcase how humanity got to where we are now, and hopefully said ai will develop similarly to a human child in its (much faster) learning of the value and significance of the human race and its history.
This clip explains nothing of why Rasputin supposedly created SIVA (which was in fact created by Clovis Bray, not Rasputin), or why he killed the Iron Lords.
All it really reveals is his motives for doing so. He released SIVA to kill Felwinter out of anger and then killed the iron lords when they retaliated against his plans
SIVA was created for the creation of future settlements as humanity was planning on colonizing other planets and moons. He used it kill Felwinter since he was created by Rasputin but then revived by the Traveler and he couldn't control him anymore. The Iron Lords were just there and died with him except Saladin. Also, Willa Bray created SIVA with another scientist, not Clovis.
We already knew his reasoning for killing Felwinter. Lore cards said that wayyyy long ago back in season of the worthy I believe. The last Rasputin season.
Rasputin didn't, a separated warmine who was a tyrant, that wanted felwinter back did it. In result , he send the SIVA TO ANNINILATE him and the iron lords. " this also explains why felwinter went back to Rasputin to get access to the golden tech , but got ambush by the tyrant warsat, who wanted to everything to get him back " When the warmine connect to Mars, the actual Rasputin awoken , including Clovis rey. And let to this.....
SIVA was supposed to create cities hella fast whenever humanity landed on a cool ass new planet that got that traveler special recently, but after the collapse, Rasputin saw it and said "lmao ima fuck up people wit dis >:)"
It was basically a beefed up version of what glimmer is in the lore, programmable matter. Saladin says in rise of iron it’s everything a civilization could need including food and stuff like that. The vibe I get is theoretically it could become literally anything
It wasn’t meant to be a weapon. It was meant to be ANYTHING. Anything you needed, SIVA could do. That’s why they loaded it on colony ships. It was inevitable that Willa would be approached about the military applications of SIVA.
Considering that we rebuild Rasputin with parts that evolved on their own, is he even the same Rasputin that killed the iron lords or is it similar to Crow and Uldren
Osiris is already slated for Lightfall, and the time to recast would have been this season (to wit: Ikora's recasting after her long absence), so odds are good.

A year later, and story stuff like this is why season of Rasputin was one of the best story wise. Truly showed how far the warmind expanded beyond his programming. I’ll always think of you when I listen to classical, especially Tchaikovsky symphony no6.
we need to remember that rasputin was litrely made by clovis and likely clovis had alot to do with some of his "insticts" and while he is civil his base self was made by clovis and the reason he is the person he is today is both due to anna helping him grow and the mistakes he made during and after the collapse and felwinters death. to use an example would be to compare him to a child raised by an abusive parent to be their tool but having gotten away due to a family member that saved them and helped them get out of that situation. He is still has his mental scars from that time likely but he is doing his best. as shown this week

The sheer fact that a military AI just said shit like "He was my son" and "My reaction was emotionally driven" is both fascinating and terrifying.
Well…he created Felwinter, and then he killed him after his resurrection it’s like a twisted version of Christ and God
that's Ana's influence on him, Clovis would have left the more human influences out of his development
