When painting and drybrushing cloth, try using some wood glue on the cloth first. It should make it hard enough to paint and not soak up all the liquid.
Well the cloth would get stiff. I mean for miniatures a good idea. If the things needs something to wear just cut it, glue it and paint it. I think I will try that out. I should have tested it with textile medium tbf. But at the time I haven't had any.
