- Blue Pearl Mother Dawn. 1992 single charting at #50 in the UK in July 1992. Blue Pearl was a techno and house music duo consisting of American female singer Durga McBroom and British musician Youth (Martin Glover). The act had a hit in 1990 with 'Naked In the Rain'. Yes, thanks for uploading this! My only copy got accidentally taped over by my mom LOL! I really love this video - we went to the south of France and shot inside of a quarry. Plus I really got to show off my slightly more hardcore look. Little shout out to Fishbone with the earring - they have been my homies since 1985. I did a lot of dance music, but I am a rocker at heart!! Mixed with a lot of other influences, but that is another story . . . STAY TUNED!

I first heard this song when Billy Idol did a mix? of it. I feel both versions are incredible! I just want to get up and dance!!
First heard it on Danny Rampling's Radio 1 show Aug 2 1992 then went to Trade for the first time and heard it there. Magical. Have it on C.D. and record. Feel like a custodian of art these days. 1992 was a wicked year of dancing, love and respect. Memories still like yesterday. Mother Dawn, Don't U Want Me and Shine On all in the same month? Three of my favourite tunes of all time.

Little known fact, the Goddess of Dawn (also sometimes spring, youth, etc, its the same concept) can be tracked from Africa, up through Greece, Rome, the Celts, etc. Its all the same Titanid/Goddess. Isis, Eos, Eostre, and so on.
