Never heard of this group in the US, but found a dance music compilation CD in the late 90s that happened to have this song. First time seeing the video for it. They have a great vocal harmonization!
Even back then Claire had an incredible voice and was beautiful
This song is a cross between "Beautiful Life" by Ace of Base, and the 80s German pop classic, "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" by Modern Talking. Tell me I'm wrong.

This song got played on Australian music video show video hits a number of times and I bought the CD single (probably the only person in Australia to do so lol !) but I love how on the internet now I can find out their names of the girls who WEREN'T Claire from Steps, and that it made it to #69 in the UK! Yay to the internet!

After releasing two singles in 1996, Heart and Soul which reached number 69 in the UK singles chart and Baby I Love You which peaked at 64, the group were dropped from their record label. Claire later went on to achieve fame and better success as part of mainstream pop group Steps.
Hey, are you Bonnie from TSD? I was a resident at the AVEX UK studio with Boris & Tony King when you guys were recording.
You also forgot to put: TSD toured with many of the huge acts of the time, among them, Boyzone, Eternal and Pj & Duncan (Ant’n’Dec), trying to make a name for themselves - they even took part in the Smash Hits tour. This was Claire’s first big taste of fame and she admits she found it very strange when people began to ask her for her autograph, but she liked it.

I'm sure Boris Gregorian/Bozidar Ristic (FKB) wrote this - (great bloke). I remember the band recording this in Soho Square with an army of backing vocalists, including Bille Godfrey. Tony King mixed it. (Soho Square Recording Studios). Claire was the stand out singer. (Yeah, I was there).

I love these dodgy 90's music videos where they just put them on a colourful set and make them dance around half arsed and then hope for the best in the editing room haha. Where's the choreography?? lol
It was written and produced by Bozidar Ristic, AKA -Boris Gregorian. He played me the song without lyrics (instrumental) in the studio & ad-libbed the chorus-hook over it. Loved this track way before he got Claire Richards and co. singing on it. No discredit to Claire, she was the best singer in TSD. Pretty sure 'Billie Godfrey' did the backing vocals on this? Possibly 'Lucy Jules' too.

I always thought they were TSB as in the bank! I remember this song when I was about 11/12 but it was never a hit here in the UK. You can see Claire had the stardom to go far as she had the voice and the charisma to carry it off and well deserved. The other two girls, what was their purpose?

I remember searching for this song around 2001/2002 when I found Claire had been in another group prior to STEPS. Some observations about this song/group: The chemistry between the members is non existent. The mix of the music plus the modification of vocals is horrid! It hides the vice of each girl, especially Claire who is a phenomenal singer. The "image" given to the group is low budget at best, along with the video. This group *could* have been successful for at least a couple of singles but long term, it was never gonna work! Good for us though, we got STEPS :)
