About 10 years ago, Swingman was stitched. I'm just now realizing they changed to heat pressed

@@JamesMeyers yea I haven't bought a jersey in years since wearing jersey was the fashion back in the day. I have tons of old stitched jerseys that are swingman. Now I'm looking to buy jerseys to rock on the beach and finding out that you have to go authentic now to get the stitch.
I mean the positive is most stitched Nike Authentic jersey are 200.00 so 90.00 more than the swingman for the top of the line for them. I know it sucks but it’s not terrible.
@@JamesMeyers I need to find what website you shop on. All the authentic jerseys I see are $250 or $299. The swingman is $125. Every now and then I'll find a authentic on sale for $150 but it's usually players that left that team or something like that.

I’m 5’9” and 155 lbs. I wear a size Mens Small (40) in the swingman. I personally like the true to fit size/slim fit. I can even wear a shirt underneath. But I know most people like looser NBA jerseys/shirts. So if you’re around my height and weight then I’d recommend getting the medium (44), in the swingman. Also one more thing, the authentic (stitched jersey) does run tighter and longer in length (like 2-4 inches longer than the swingman. I personally feel more comfortable in a swingman than I do in a Authentic jersey, since it is slight lighter in weight. Hopefully this helps anyone that is looking for the right jersey. Thanks for the help! Just was looking for a jersey to occasionally wear, my biggest concern was sizing between medium and large.
In the nike jersey's medium and large doesn't have a big diference. Here is the dimensions
For medium Width:20 Length:29.5
Large Width:21 Length:30.5
I can wear both medium and large, i hope this helps

Thanks for the help. I usually stick to swingmans (as far as NBA jerseys), but I just got a great deal on an authentic statement Suns Booker that I just couldn’t pass up. With fanatics cash, I paid $40 out of pocket for it!
So I’ll have that statement authentic (black alternate) Suns Booker and the association (purple away) swingman Suns Booker. And then I have one Joe Burrow Bengals limited (black home) and one Jamarr Chase Bengals limited jersey (away white), an Authentic M&N Pete Rose 1975 Cincinnati Reds (home white),an authentic M&N Johnny Bench Cincinnati Reds 1983 batting practice jersey (Red), and an authentic 2000 Ken Griffey Jr Reds (Black) batting practice jersey.
And my grail is a fully authentic Suns Charles Barkley (road purple) Champion Brand jersey from the 1990’s.
What I can’t seem to find any info on is that on my authentic ONLY the team name(jazz) on the front and the Nike logo are stitched when you look down the jersey no numbers or name where as I was told EVERYTHING was stitched....any help if you happen to see this? Am I missing something?

If you know you’re gonna be putting the jersey through some stress I’d get the cheaper swingman jersey that way you don’t end up ruining the more expensive jersey. Just my opinion though

i don't have the bugdet problem, I have 2 authentic jerseys, im thinking about giving the swingman a try because I want to use the jersey for playing and training and the stitching is not that confortable without some interior, that nike pro shirt that the players use, what do u think for my case?
If it’s a comfort thing or in your case you’ll be playing in it and for lack of a better word kinda “beating” on the jersey. Then I think the swingman is the proper choice for your needs

Cool review James. I have a Lebron James Lakers Swingman and a Kobe Bryant Authentic. Honestly I think the swingman is heavier than the authentic as the Kobe Authentic Jersey I got it is so light not heavy at all. But you can't go wrong with any of them as I always get compliments when I have a swingman or authentic. People can't really tell. Only Jersey Heads like us can tell LOL. That’s cool bro. I think the authentic is a tad heavier but who’s to say the quality control isn’t different from item to item. And yeah I think they’re both light and thin. Definitely better for the summer months in my opinion

I also prefer the Authentics. Like you said, they last longer, more durable, etc. From a distance. If you know your nba jerseys, you can tell before you get closer. Like what I look for is the jock tag. The jock tag will be slightly longer than the swingman. Another is the side panel to the arm sleeve (or whatever it's called lol). On the Swingman. The arm sleeve continues. But on the Authentics. It starts from the back and end where the side panel is. On a certain team jersey (like the Warriors for example). Depending on the color of the jersey (let's say the royal blue jersey) the side panel has a white base, with a blue strip. On the authentic. The side panel will continue to the the arm hold. Which where the yellow arm sleeve will stop at. But on the swingman again. The side panel actually stops where the arm sleeve continues on. Another thing I look at is. The cut on the bottom side. On the swingman. It has no cuts, so like how a shirt would look like. But on the Authentics. It has a cut. Another thing I definitely look out for (depending if someone has a hoodie on and depending on the team). On the back where the neck is. There's a patch that's golden that has the amount of Championships they've won. Like for example. The Blazers will have the golden patch, but it will have the number 1 on it because they've only won one Championship. But on the Clippers authentic. It will have no golden patch because they haven't won a championship. On swingmans, no matter what team it is. There's no golden patch. One more thing I look for is the neck line on the jersey. Some teams like the Warriors again. On the neck line. Again depending on the color, let's say the white jersey. It will have a blue neck line and have a golden stripe. On authentics. The golden stripe will stop on top of the blue neck line. But on the swingman, it will also end with the blue neck line. Kinda like the Adidas jerseys. But teams like the Celtics will just have a usual oval neck line

I’ve been an authentic guy since the early 2000’s, so I was happy when I heard Nike was taking over cause adidas jerseys were trash, but I’m disappointed. I can NEVER find the cool alternate color authentic jerseys (city edition, statement, etc.) so I’m stuck with getting the Icon jerseys, if they happen to have my size. I’m a Westbrook fan, so I have the authentic icon OKC jersey. I wanted a statement Wizards Westbrook authentic but they only make it in swingman smh. My wife got me the icon authentic Westbrook Wizards for Christmas, but because of Nike’s funky sizing, she got me a 44 (all my M&N jersey’s are 44’s) and I had to return it. No 48’s and no Statement Authentics. What’s your thoughts on them not making most Statement and City Editions in Authentic?? Would you get the swingman in that case?

How should I wash my authentic jersey?
Not every jersey is the same as far as materials some logos and stuff differ. Please look at the laundry instructions tag inside the jersey and follow those steps they provide accordingly to protect your jersey and to keep it for many years to come.
