Don't apologize for being brutally honest. For me that is a true food review. Nowadays most of the food vloggers are just giving hype saying "pinakamasarap" and "pinakasulit" and when regular customers go to that restaurant gets disappointed because their experience is totally opposite from the review. Sadly I'm of one the victims of those "Food Vlogger". KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND MORE POWER TO YOU AND YOUR TEAM!!! FIGHTING!!!
Your honesty in rating foods is the reason I watch your paborito series up 'til now. It's always the best naman talaga to be honest eh para at least we know the ones that's legit good. Hoping you could do more probinsya paborito eps. For sure mas madami kang options ng noncommercialized food recos na super quality and super sulit. Siyempre bias ako, so I hope you choose Ilocos Sur. Swear, you'll love it here 😉❤️
Almost all OG food places around taft are closed na :< i suggest chompchomp for their laksa, bagnet 8065 for their kare-kare bagnet or bicol express bagnet, waiying for their dumplings and noodles, teabag for their thai milktea or rose milktea, and a variety of food around AGNO, THE OG GO-TO FOOD SPOT BESIDE DLSU. 💖
Hi Jessica!!!! As a fan of your channel, I wanted to suggest that you consider visiting Mandaluyong City for your next food adventure. Mandaluyong City is a hidden gem when it comes to food, with a plethora of affordable and delicious restaurants and eateries that are definitely worth exploring. One of the best things about Mandaluyong City is the wide variety of cuisines available. Whether you're in the mood for Filipino classics, Asian fusion, or international fare, you'll find it all here. Not only that, but the prices are incredibly reasonable, so you can indulge in multiple meals without breaking the bank. Mandaluyong City is home to a diverse community, and there's always something new and exciting to discover. So, if you're looking to add some fresh content to your channel, I highly recommend considering Mandaluyong City as your next food destination. You won't regret it! ❤❤❤❤
FR Foods in the provincial area are much better than in the city, and it's probably because food places in Urban areas sacrifice quality over the "Instagramable Vibes."
I'm ID111 and I definitely don't know the state of restaurants in Taft now but when I was a student, there were TONS of local places. Exile, Jus & Jerry's, Toribox, Rap's, and hundreds of non-chain restaurants. Either places like these all closed down or Jessica just didn't ask the right people. I noticed that you only asked students that were hanging out in the McDo area. Most of the real restaurants are further down Taft (towards Quirino). I do remember Topside Diner and found it mediocre even then.
I suggest you go to places with famous delicacies(e.g Tagaytay and search for the best Bulalo then pick your paborito) If you go to Universities, you’ll mostly get silogs, chicken wings, sisig recommendations because most students are in a hurry and in a budget.
I love Jessica's honest f00d reviews and I also love how easily fans approach her to take pictures with her💖✨ BTW napanood ko ung POND'S ads mo napaka ganda montalaga kahit wala ka ng make up🥰😍💙 Labyu and I will support you always and forever❤❤❤
It used to be that DLSU area is a treat for budget yet delicious meals. A full meal would cost you around half to 3/4 the price of a grande starbucks frap. Agno’s streetfood, RAPs, 7 star, chicken chicken, Eric’s siomai, greenplace 75 pesos can feed a family sisig, and 8065. Also, LS building serves mojos that can rival shakeys. DLSU taft area looks like a very different place now.
Just be as honest and as natural as you are. Don't be like many filipinos who are phony and plastic just to please everyone. Be it "brutal" or whatever, but that's what makes you different from many phony people. Be honest and if you are not a fan of the dish, then that's your own opinion and taste. Sensitive people who gets butt hurt over your own taste can cry on a corner.
As you start tasting different dishes your "taste" meter goes up. It's hard not be biased if you've tasted (for example) a Sisig that you can remember. You may have tried 10 varieties of adobo and each time you get selective with your preferred version. A rating system would be nice and you should categorize it as well. Something like best adobo or best budget meal, or best beverage, etc.
I really love how Jessica do food reviews she's just not eating but describing foods very detailed, the flavor, texture etc please keep doing this paborito series love this ❤️❤️❤️
I have been watching your PABORITO series for a while and I was waiting for you to actually go inside the UP Diliman campus itself rather than just Maginhawa so I suggest you go there next! You can either go to Area 2 or explore the whole campus (including the canteen per college or something). You can also try places near Maginhawa such as Malingap Street and Krus na Ligas.
Yes for standard scoring system for taste, environment vibe, service and price. Keep them in separate sections but also include an overall result for each place. Judge it like Top Chef (Philippines edition). I love your honest opinion and description of the food. Keep it up!
Student paboritos will most likely be food places that are considered affordable - and most affordable Filipino food are of the same variety (sisig, silogs, wings, other fried stuff).
As a student who studies in DLSU, Taft is literally the hardest place to find affordable and delicious food, super stressful lalo na pag gutom ka 😭 but thankfully, the choice of food expanded na ever since Jessica uploaded this video. Borro is a good option which is located in F. Reyes (in front of Beech), and Noel's an OG BBQ place.
COME HERE IN THE LATTER PART OF TAFT NEAR ADAMSON, PNU, AND TUP 😆😆😆 As State U students, our place have a variety of options for every student who is in a budget and all meals (from my experience since I came to study here in 2018) doesn't go beyond 100 pesos. There's a lot of karinderyas famous and unique to the place!
Actually, there are so many great food places in the DLSU, CSB and St. Scho area. I guess it was just a coincidence that the students you met there didn't know them. DLSU for instance is known for having the Agno Food Court and food spots near Agno 😉 There's also Chicken Chicken near CSB Angelo King campus.
I understand Jessica 's rating coz if you go in Sokor, their coffee shop napaka very esthetic. Been in SOKOR in 6 yrs as a factory worker kaya kahit pano may knowledge ako sa pagkain nila
Wala na ba yung Noel’s, ate Rica’s, Raps, Erics and yung sisig store beside Erics?🥺 super daming masarap na karinderia type stores dyan sa Taft before. Tapa King, Tropical Hut, Yellow Cab, Army Navy, Jollibee and MCDO lang yung mga food chains before.
As a former DLSU student, I would recommend Agno, it's where you can see different food stalls that are relatively affordable or the EGI tower/One Archers Building. Although I'm not sure if how much of it is still there since I graduated last 2017 😅
The good eats in Taft either closed down or inside the main DLSU campus. Sayang lang cause no one pointed those restaurants at the back of the main campus. Next time go through EGI building to see more restaurants and when you exit the other way, turn right then you’ll see our “hidden” secret eats where Ate Rica’s bacsilog originally started :)
I recommend babe shawarma in TAFT Vito Cruz as a budget meal that is super tasty; I believe there are students from Lasalle who buy this, and we have calenderia near babe shawrama inside the food court, our best seller namin is a Sinigang. Please come again.
Alam mo ba na maaari mong simulan ang iyong paglalakbay sa digital cryptocurrency nang walang stress. Kunin ang aking atensyon hayaan mo akong ituro sa iyo kung paano masira ang mga gilid.
Please try going the East naman. ANTIPOLO! I've been here 28 years now. Born and raised! These are what I would recommend: (in no particular order) Tamerlane's (Filipino) SaWrap sa Taktak (Mexican) Raqui's Takoyaki (Japanese) Resto sa Kanto (Filipino) Maura's Place (Mix of Filipino, Italian, and American)
7:56 Your honesty is actually admirable for me as a casual watcher of the Paborito series kasi I believe that tiktok and fb *ahem* are saturated with OA food reviewers na HAHAHA most of them are usually overhyping and giving dishonest reviews nalang without even stating the pros and cons of the food; Content like these can actually help the restaurants improve their food!!!
Taft is also a really long road (avenue). The area you explored is just around Vito Cruz. I bet there are more areas along the whole Taft that's not very commercialized and there are more food places that are good. 🥰
Hi Jessica! You may want to try exploring the local restaurants here in Pacita Avenue San Pedro Laguna. Not too far from the metro and super daming options 🙂
Food trip in Marikina! ❤ Beef tapa/Churro waffle/French Toast at Rustic Mornings by Isabelo, Tuna Salpicao and Pumpkin soup at Qizia's, Pares Meal at Pares House, OverEasy resto, Rocha's puto(the brown one with cheese on top), Fried Chicken from Krung Thai
Jessica! I suggest you try to shoot your paborito series in "Lagro" or "Novaliches Bayan". There are a lot of great foods there! Both places are located in QC
@@triciadevera652 Hello! You can try Janet's Resto, may 3 branches sila as far as I know sa Lagro and sa Novaliches Bayan lang. There's also Bratz Grilled Burger🍔. So far ilan lang yun sa mga kainan na worth the price too! Yung iba kasi bagong stores lang din and haven't tried pa. ☺
I definitely suggest going back to the area, but not limit yourself to just the places along Taft that are near the schools or University Mall. There are lots of good places around, near CSB and the other side streets. There used to be good old Kaibigan that was famous for their sisig, but it's been gone for years. I'm not sure if Rap's and Chicken Chicken are still around.
Hindi ako taga Bicol, been there once palang -- I recommend you to visit Bicol province sana, masarap ang pagkain nila, pero sympre let the students decide saan ang paborito nila para tips din samin na taga maynila, na bka may iba pang fud maliban sa laing, bicol exp na marrecomend nila.
It's time for a "paborito sa probinsya" series!!!😩❤️ That pampanga series was soo good that I thought, if jessica doesn't have her paborito consecutively, it's time for paborito sa probinsya
I guess you asked the wrong people. But you're right, Taft is mostly filled with franchise restaurants. I heard the rent for commercial spaces there got higher so there wasn't really a good opportunity for small businesses to thrive there
I would recommend Chicken chicken! It is near DLS- CSB Akic. It's my paboritong karinderia/restaurant when i was still studying in CSB. Love their liempo, chicken and porkchop with their og brown sauce!
Get back to taft and hopefully we can meet! Madaming small karinderyas near taft and they're usually hidden or popular lang for people who actually lives in Manila na for almost a decade.
you should try again at Pampanga, since it's the culinary capital of the Philippines, we have more to offer than what you have tried last Paborito series in Pampanga ☺
I'd agree on the other's about you doing it in the provinces. They have better tasting food compared to manila in terms of those that aren't food chains. And be completely honest, it's better for you to let us know the truth in your opinion rather than saying lies and we'll have our hopes up for no good reason. Thank you for the wonderful video and the hard work of every one! Yours, your Manliligaw 😊
I agree with most of the comments. I love this content since day 1 but it's almost the same with previous episodes now. Exploring different provinces will be a good thing to boost this content again IMO. Not an expert tho. Just want this content to be alive as it's used to be. Ilocos Norte is a good province to visit. A lot of local food. Not the typical one. You can reach me out if you need in-depth info about food here. :)
16:05 I think thats whats happening all around the Philippines since Covid an Inflation.. A lot of humble but good food places disappeared, and in the free space the branches settled in. A few more catastrophes and maybe there is nothing left for PABORITO. :/ Solution: Go to other smaller cities, I thin chances are better in Cebu, Davao, Zamboanga, CDO.. Or at least outside the borders of Metro Manila - like Quezon, Caloocan, Antipolo, Taguig, Pasig.
I recommend you to try different cuisines from different tribe specifically in Mindanao. Filipino food is not all about Adobo, Sinigang and Sisig. There’s a lot more.
Ohman, I'm sad you weren't able to go to Agno. Even surprising that none of the students suggested agno since it was even the birthplace of Ate Rica's bacsilog. If anything, you should try going to the agno food stalls if ever you do try to go back to taft!
You should have tried tinuhog ni benny carenderia/grill or the shawarma beside memorial stadium. Mostly you interview are new students from the taft and sosyal. The 2 i recommend are more cheaper but delicuous.more power jessica!☺️
To be honest being brutally honest to your comments will help us to try or not try the foods or resto you tried. Last time you try in quiapo is the Dada's palabok you said that they are good and the chicharon is good so yesterday me and my wife tried it and yes all you said on that kainan is real and honest reviews. I'm one of your viewers and subscribers so it help me a lot where to go with my wife. Thanks. Kindly try the Foods in Biñan there are so many local foods there that only in Biñan with the culture and traditions preserved of the Biñanese.😊
My “paborito” part in this series is Jessica’s honesty. 😊 She doesn’t give a damn about sponsorship that will affect her integrity. 💪😀That’s how Jessica attracts her audience! Stay true on what your channel stands for 😉 I look forward to the future episode that features healthy food that can bring a smile never seen before from Jessica 😁 Cheers!
Laloma blumentritt leachunan it is good to make your Paborito series. The Laloma Blumentritt manila leachunan is Laloma leachunan association of the Philippines. The street is lined up with different leachon restaurants names are Mang Tomas, Milas, Ping Ping's, Litos, Maki"s and many more. Mang Tomas and Milas where the leachon sauce originated and formulates. The whole stretch of the street the leachond restaurants displays the leachons on Bamboo skewa upward standing.
suggestion for a food rating system: 3 star system. 1 star: edible/good, but might not order again even if in the area. 2 star: will eat again IF in the area. 3 star: will travel all the way to eat again. paborito food places would be the 3 stars. this way you can have multiple paborito places or none.
i suggest Jessica revisits Tondo. Only, good food there starts at night. Ugbo is just a part of it but lots of local establishments can be considered good.
Honestly dont think Jessica's food review is brutal. She just have her personal food preferences. Its her show, so it's based on what she likes. It wont be the standard criteria for food
Pls try in PUP too. My favorite there in Teresa St is the sizzling sisig place tho it’s a bit small and hot there. Not sure if it’s still the same now.
Besides the people you interview on the street, I suggest that maybe you should also include and ask (ahead of time) your local viewers paborito restos are where you plan to visit next. This should hopefully give you a better evaluation and reduce the "No Paborito" results.
One thing I do when going places. Ask the locals such as tricycle drivers, tambays to where will they eat or treat their family if they have budget. Like good family food. Always got good recos.
Pangit mga recos sa iyo! Studied in Benilde and worked there for more than 10 years..Here are my recos 1. Chomp chomp (Singaporean Laksa) 2. Vietnames restaurant in front of Jollibee Vito Cruz 3. Doon Thai (Dominga place near Benilde School of Design and Art 4..Ababu (although they have branches around Metro Mnila RESHOOT KA ULIT!! 😁 And Hope to see you when you're around Live Jesus in Heart...... ....f...v...r
Maybe one of these days, you guys can go to Sorsogon to search for underated but tasty local food. The same goes with Cebu. Specially in provinces like Argao. Srp also have underated food selections.
you should try chicken-chicken with their special chicken sauce. i don't know the name of the eating place but most benildeans knew it. it's walking distance from the csb hotel. already forgot the street namen since i am now living abroad...hope i could meet you someday
A lot of good restaurants in Taft has closed during pandemic it's sad. There was Rap's, the Bagnet 8065 (though they had other branches). I hope someone had recommended Tinuhog ni benny too.
I'm hungry! Here in California I eat quezadilia in Home Depot Gardenia ! I love it . I always watch you're video Jessica. I enjoy it , I've been away 25 years already.
And also, we love unli wings in the phil because it's practical and cheap. Also we tend to eat a lot and we think that it's sulit talaga ☺️ healthy food is not so typical talaga here kasi medyo pricey pag healthy food. 😅

Marami dyan sa taft jessica like dixies, shawarma sa rizal stadium
yay new upload huhu pantanggal stress after a long and tiring day sa school! Please also visit here in Batangas especially in Lipa City
16:05 I think thats whats happening all around the Philippines since Covid an Inflation.. A lot of humble but good food places disappeared, and in the free space the branches settled in.
A few more catastrophes and maybe there is nothing left for PABORITO. :/
Solution: Go to other smaller cities, I thin chances are better in Cebu, Davao, Zamboanga, CDO.. Or at least outside the borders of Metro Manila - like Quezon, Caloocan, Antipolo, Taguig, Pasig.
Must try Chicken chicken nea AKIC Benilde building
Yeah, you should have a basic food rating system. Excellent idea Jessica ❤.
Sana All, stay safe Idol Jessica 👍❤️
Do you know you can commence your digital cryptocurrency without much stress? Get my attention on my comment
@@Zidovibez tell me more about it.
Hi babe! If you are fed up with manila foods, i think you must try going provinces, like mine, LAGUNA! theres so many delicious but cheap foods!
It isn't a bad try if you try out ulam and banana ice milkshake
To be honest being brutally honest to your comments will help us to try or not try the foods or resto you tried. Last time you try in quiapo is the Dada's palabok you said that they are good and the chicharon is good so yesterday me and my wife tried it and yes all you said on that kainan is real and honest reviews. I'm one of your viewers and subscribers so it help me a lot where to go with my wife. Thanks. Kindly try the Foods in Biñan there are so many local foods there that only in Biñan with the culture and traditions preserved of the Biñanese.😊
you should try going to provines now and even out of town. youll get to experience diff food tbh. ❤❤❤
Chicken Chicken is an OG food place. I'm surprised that no one suggested that place.
Chinatown or Binondo naman next 😗😗😗
Laloma blumentritt leachunan it is good to make your Paborito series. The Laloma Blumentritt manila leachunan is Laloma leachunan association of the Philippines. The street is lined up with different leachon restaurants names are Mang Tomas, Milas, Ping Ping's, Litos, Maki"s and many more. Mang Tomas and Milas where the leachon sauce originated and formulates. The whole stretch of the street the leachond restaurants displays the leachons on Bamboo skewa upward standing.
my suggestion for the criteria:
🔵 FOOD PRESENTATION
🔵 TASTE
🔵 PRICE POINT
🔵 VIBE OF THE PLACE/AMBIANCE
🔵 SERVICE
😁😁😁
im happy with your reviews. if youre not impressed then say it! love the episodes!! come to Cebu City maybe? ❤
Go to Cebu? Why? So that she will be less impressed?
Natry nyo naba yung tapsilogan sa FEU? Malapit sa PRC, likod ng 711? , Diko lang alam kung bukas pa ngayon.
Suggestion:
Roadtrip nalang kyo paluzon o kaya down tapos mga karinderya sa daanan. Prang natikman nyo na lahat ng pinoy foods sa city. 😄✌️
Jessica, NUEVA ECIJA naman next! Try the garlic longganisa and batutay ♥️♥️
Not sure if meron pa Stoops bagnet at Dats Mix they are my OG lasalle favorites 10 years ago haha puro bago na anjan ngaun
Sana makapunta ka Miss Jessica dito sa Cavite, sa Cavite City... Makaktikim ka Ng mga pagkain na sa Cavite City nag originate o dun Lang makikita at matitikman..😊
suggestion for a food rating system:
3 star system.
Thank you Jessica lee for testing our food love you from Filipino ❤
Studied in Benilde and worked there for more than 10 years..Here are my recos
1. Chomp chomp (Singaporean Laksa)
2. Vietnames restaurant in front of Jollibee Vito Cruz
3. Doon Thai (Dominga place near Benilde School of Design and Art
4..Ababu (although they have branches around Metro Mnila
RESHOOT KA ULIT!! 😁
And Hope to see you when you're around
Live Jesus in Heart...... ....f...v...r
ikaw na magaling lol
@@vincentnin1 DOTA pa more...aral aral rin kapag may time LOL
@@ryekis pota anung konek ng dota hahhahahahahhahaha
Maybe one of these days, you guys can go to Sorsogon to search for underated but tasty local food. The same goes with Cebu. Specially in provinces like Argao. Srp also have underated food selections.
you should try chicken-chicken with their special chicken sauce. i don't know the name of the eating place but most benildeans knew it. it's walking distance from the csb hotel. already forgot the street namen since i am now living abroad...hope i could meet you someday
Paborito series but vegan/vegetarian places only episode:))
Sana soon pumunta si Jessica and team niya sa provinces, like taste testing ng mga signature dishes nila ganun
A lot of good restaurants in Taft has closed during pandemic it's sad. There was Rap's, the Bagnet 8065 (though they had other branches). I hope someone had recommended Tinuhog ni benny too.
Thanks Jessica for being brutally honest. Tama lang yan.
Tagaytay, Makati, Taguig, & Batangas (for me) has a lot of food to offer. You should try there.
I'm hungry! Here in California I eat quezadilia in Home Depot Gardenia ! I love it . I always watch you're video Jessica. I enjoy it , I've been away 25 years already.
You are beautiful,.speaking Tagalog is more fun for your blog..
And also, we love unli wings in the phil because it's practical and cheap. Also we tend to eat a lot and we think that it's sulit talaga ☺️ healthy food is not so typical talaga here kasi medyo pricey pag healthy food. 😅
Hi jesica, there is 1 shawarma food cart along ocampo st. Near the stadium. Try to go there and taste their shawarma with rice or in warp
You should try local restaurants here in Naga City, Bicol! It won’t disappoint!
Jessica plsss try in San Marcelino area ❤❤❤ I hope to see you there near TUP Manila!!
i genuinely suggest you go to silang or tagaytay, the restos and cafes there are really authentic :)
Jessica needs to visit Provinces to have more varied choices of foods in Filipino delicacies
I agree. She could find some hidden treasures in the Province. So much good eats.
