@southernfinefinishesllc8029 I sand everything down with 150 grit. The price of the sander and how much they bend you over on the pads it's now worth it. Made in Taiwan
From a guy that runs a cabinet shop and has had two bad bearings in two different machines in 4 months, I'd say do not waste your hard earned money on the surfprep. The uneeda copy is even worse. I'm also open to ideas on a better quality machine if anyone wants to chime in.
I have the Airvantage which is a very nice Surfprep alternative. Just like the surfprep. I have the original one with the separate power supply so it's lighter but has the power supply in between. It's just as good as the surfprep at $150 less.
How often do you use it ? I’m think of getting one because hand sanding moldings suck but due the the price I’m very hesitant, I’m a painter so I will be using it often

The pads don't seem to remove enough material
They ProFoam isn't meant to remove material, like to strip. They are used for finish sanding and replacing hand sanding.

$600 for a modified orbital sander is ridiculous.

Mirka Deos? I don't know how they are head to head but appear comparable. Festool makes a finish sander as well but ergonomically very different.

I regret buying mine as well and it was very expensive more than mirka and festool , not worth the money
