Hey guys, I put a lot of effort in the photos, video and of course the MOC so all the support of any kind is much appreciated. I'm wondering what your backstory for the MOC is, write it below, I will be featuring my favorite ideas. Also if anyone is interested in seeing all the behind the scenes and building process you can join the channel and become a member to gain access to the community chat. Good way of supporting my work and seeing some behind the scenes. Thank you and keep bricking!
Your creativity even when working with micro scale is amazing. The use of not just odd pieces for cool details, but also simple bricks add so much to your builds. I could stare at this for hours trying to find different pieces and hidden gems. The careful mix of terrain and style of building brings everything together wonderfully. Truly is a city in the sky I would want to live in! Inspirational
Idea: You could build a MOC from the new video game stray. Its a really cool setting and I feel like it matches your very detailed build style. This build was so cool, I specifically loved the clouds, they really show the scale of this floating island.
Backstory: With the industrialization of the forest, pollution was harming the environment. After a while, the area turned to a desert wasteland. A team of scientists hatched a plan to recover one of the last natural areas on earth. By redirecting the flow of the water to go through the desert, they could restore the life the area once had. But the river was going to go straight through the city. With the power of the people, either wanting the city to move or the river to go away, the city tore from the ground and lifted to the sky. Now the river is bringing life once again to the forest, resorting the natural beauty of the earth :)
Great stuff, Luka. Can't say I don't enjoy the dips into more artistic or poetic territory, whatever way you wanna look at it, with this and the tree. Keep it up!
It all started many centuries ago in an alternate fantasy universe. A mysterious evil being used it’s powers to lift up this rock and city from the ground and left it to eventually crumple to the ground. Luckily a few genius inventors from the city build a thrust system and giant chains to hold the city in place, saving them all from inevitable destruction.
This is one of those builds people (especially I) will be coming back to for years to come. Masterful display of techniques, creative parts usage, story telling and composition. Truly a masterclass in LEGO building. Hope to see you keep bricking ;)
simply fantastic .... there are no words to describe the impression adequately. many thanks for sharing your creativity and your unbelievable creations.
Wow just wow the building techniques are awesome and this is a pleasure to look at the time and effort put into this moc is clearly visible and it was definitely worth it @firstorderlego you are one of the most inspiring and unique Lego builders ever
I love how you used all the smaller pieces to represent larger things in micro scale, like all the buildings and trees. The stylized elements like the chains and clouds really make the build pop and it feels like one big flowing art piece, as always an amazing build and very well put together video with all the nice editing and keep up the amazing work!
This is absolutely insane!!! One of the most in depth and best looking lego builds i’ve seen by far!!! The time and effort you put into this was defenitely worth it!
This is such a cool MOC! Incredible work, it looks amazing! Love the detail and potential of story in this build. Can't wait to see the time-lapse and behind the scenes! Here's my thoughts on what the story is: I think this city (named Helium) is home to many civilians, but it is in a country filled with many vile beings. After an attack from one of these creatures, they decided to raise their city up above the earth to avoid another attack. The miners of the great city of Helium dug down into the earth, and filled the stone with an unknown substance that makes things float. Before doing that however, they constructed great chains of stone to hold the city in place. This all happened around 500 years ago and it is still there floating above the earth. You could also say that a man has fallen out of Lego City instead of into the river :)
A rich emperor wanted his own kingdom so he cut out a chunk of land and rose it up into the air. To make sure it stayed where he wanted, he chained it too the surrounding village area.
