    I've officially driven 25,000 miles in my 2019 Chevy Blazer RS. I'm here to talk about the good, bad, and expensive. There have been a few issues come up like creaks and rattles, one major problem involving a wheel, and electrical gremlins, but overall the ownership experience has been great.

    So to sum, there is Nothing wrong with the Blazer, truth is those smaller Michelin tires are the problem . Don't advertise a negative review if it isn't. I own a Blazer and I love it.

    22 blazer rs here with 38k already. Been across the country and back twice. Cold air intake since 1k and clean filter every 10k, oil changed religiously every 5k. It’s never missed a single beat.
    The oem Continental tires were a dumpster fire, rotated every 5-7k and got 33k before putting a set of really nice Michelins on it.

      Add a performance chip & sport exhaust to go with your cold air intake. My 2019 RS is about 335hp now. & if you have an extra $800-$2,200 you can upgrade the brakes, calipers & rotors. Stock ones can get hot fast & increase braking distance.

    I noticed my 2019 Blazer is quirky too! From the rear wiper doesn't work at times to the infotainment screen giving blank, to the variable air pressure level in all the tires. I am only at 10k miles too!! The one thing that is bothering me is having to remove the front bumper to change a headlight bulb. That is crazy. But the overall performance is excellent. Gas mileage, acceleration and transmission performance all good.

    For $900 you could have got 4 GOOD aftermarket wheels and sold the stock wheels to cover some of the cost. OR took it to a wheel shop and they could have fixed that rim for under $200.

    2019 Chevy Blazer RS owner of 2 years with 33k miles. Only problem I had with my tires was when I ran over a nail. Sorry yours was rim was cracked, but yes the aluminum sports rims arnt cheap $500-$800 each. Mine are $610 (not from the dealership) & if you have good sports tires on it like I do, then thats another $340 each (not from the dealership)
    A friend's ex gf had the same rear camera blue screen you had. Cracked lens cover & bad wire.
    My mirrors have worked fine. Someone/something hitting yous? Or does it do it when you are in reverse? You can set the mirrors to tilt down when you are backing up. Can have 1 or both do it. Or did you upset your wife/gf & she changed the driver side mirror setting on your fob.
    Only strange noises or rattling I had was a loose clip in the front passenger front upper trim. I do still have a bit of a noise when i have the bose stereo system extremely loud. But it does get loud & it come with a nice sub in the dash.
    I smoke in it so I always have the moonroof open slightly & the windows down slightly. But the moonroof doesn't make any noise even with the radio full blast.
    At least you haven't had any major transmission or infotainment system issues like some people have had. I love mine & it souds like you like yours also even with the issues you have with it.
    Thanks for posting the video with your comments on the Chevy Blazer.

    I wonder if there electrical is the "User Setting" options undecided on which key fob to take instruction from... you can set wheel, seat and side mirror as well as references for each user and fob... My dealer told me to makes sure to keep them separated and don't drive w/ more than 1 at a time in range of each other, or the vehicle...

    have a 2019 chevy blazer rs fully loaded and it’s running about 25k miles right now and it is currently shitting the bed. This morning i woke up and drove it work work, the ac was on but none of the controls for it were working couldn’t adjust the temperature or anything, then later every light it could have turned on and the power steering was off. The car didn’t start then shortly after started and drove fine. Been having thid problem for the last few days not sure what is the issue.

    Get a catch. All direct injection engines need catch cans. The reason is simple,. Without port injection to clean the intake valves carbon builds up. Right about 60-80k the carbon will be so bad you have to pull the heads and do a valve job.
    Looks up carbon buildup on direct injection motors. Highly recommend installing a catch can 👍

    How is it in the snow with the 21" wheel set up? Considering a Blazer but I think the standard 20" wheels are fugly even though they should perform better in the snow.

    • @RDMotoring
      @RDMotoring  3 роки тому

      I actually have a video about that! In the end it comes down to the actual tire... these factory tires on the 21's really aren't that great in the snow

    • @Boblib1970
      @Boblib1970 3 роки тому

      @@RDMotoring Thanks. Watched the other video. Yep, I totally agree about the tires, that's why I said 'set up' (Im not one of those people who think awd automatically makes it better in the snow😁). I'd rather not buy a vehicle and have to immediately have to buy different tires or a whole different winter combination. I'm also considering the Edge ST and am purposely looking for ones with the standard alloys over the upgraded performance wheels for the same reason. But I really don't like standard wheels on the RS. IMO they horrible.
      Also, scanned your videos and noticed the Buick. Never considered one. I'll have to give it a look.
      Thanks again!

    • @carlcolorado3549
      @carlcolorado3549 2 роки тому +4

      That's not a pro tip. That's something a back guy would do. 5 psi high makes you more like to slide on rain, snow and dirt. Putting or self at risk with over inflated tires is a bad move. Really pro tip is eyes on the road and Dodge the potholes. Drive safe!
