Only downside with the Q3 is it gets the old GTI engine EA888Gen3 vs the much better, powerful and improved EA888Gen4 with a better Garrett MGT1754 turbocharger
Rear seats slide is awesome. Our 2016 Tiguan has it too- expand trunk space and move dogs closer to the front - at the same time!
It won't be confused with the Q5, and looks and drives solid. Audi gets it right. Great review:)

Great review as always! I have a 21’ Q3 and one of my favorite features is that Audi recommends regular 87 gas!! That really adds to the value proposition and I don’t believe a lot of the other small luxury SUVs run on regular.

can you really put regular gas in it, I have a 2020 and the dealer told me only premium.

Thanks for this review. I am debating between a BMW X1 and the Q3. I'm leaning towards the Q3 for the following reasons 1. Regular gas. 2. Steering - much easier than X1, 3. Still has buttons to control temp and sound. It isn't safe to have to look at the screen to make adjustments and I'm not sure I trust voice activation. 4. Handling - Less trucklike. 5. Price.

@@soccergirl5367I bought the x1. It is great on the highway but there are some limitations. The hey BMW command system never works. The car is so dam complicated. When I hit the accelerator it hesitates before it takes off which will probably result in a recall. It isn't safe. I miss all of the pre-sets and knobs. It still has some but you have to take your eyes off the road to change the temperature. I miss my 2018 x1. It was a much better car but had too many miles on it.

Wife has 23 q3 premium plus. Way better performance than the 2020 q3 we sold. Btw, the 2020 sold for 4 k less than we originally paid.

The rear seats can be much more comfortable with your example of moving the seats back and tilting them back as well. Great job showing that feature.
The 40/20/40 seat split is great. I'm not sure how many cars of this size off that.

I don't know maybe maybe not I do I am looking at some Genesis products which I do like like the gv70 which is there too small I don't really know if it's affordable affordable affordable SUV especially the 3.5 sport advanced or the 3.5 sport Prestige which the one I would get so I want to see the changes for the 2024 of the gv70

I really wish Audi would have refreshed the new year model considering the BMW X1 is totally refreshed. I am very close to choosing between these two. Should I wait or just go for the X1 since it's got more features (not considering the price diff)?
Thanks! Looks like a heated steering wheel isn't offered. It seems like it's about time for a Q3 refresh but we haven't heard anything about when that might happen. There should be a new Q5 for 2025 if you want to consider something a little larger
The Q3 rides so much better and 87 octane is great on the wallet. It is a real pleasure to drive

Could you add safety ratings in your videos, please? I know that is important to me and probably to others as well.
Consumer reports. I don’t think they want their videos to be half of an hour long. And it’s a snooze for young people like me who do their own research. Plus many of these new vehicles from luxury car manufacturers have great safety ratings, goes without saying. All that said, it’s very old fashioned to mention that. They did mention the safety features.

We don't have a Q3 Sportback in the U.S. unfortunately
Going to test one today. Want a smaller suv with enough driver seat for a bigger guy. I’m 6’ and 225 lbs with broader shoulders. We already have a XC90 for road trips and the family car. I want something still higher up but smaller for city driving. Worried about the seat space though…hoping they are the same seat sizes between the q3 and q5

There aren't many significant upgrades so I'd wait until the refreshed model comes out in a year or two
2024 Audi Q3 Premium Plus Quattro AWD S-Line Black Optic Package!
The interior of This thing needs to get redesigned
Great little car. Going Premium Plus is kinda absurd here in '24 IMO. It's $3k more and all you get for that is Top-View-360-Cam & Ambient Lighting. It's still another $2,500 on top of that $3k Premium Plus upcharge if you get the Tech Pkg so you can have wireless apple carplay. Premium (base) grade with the convenience pkg & black optics pkg gets one a heck of a lot of stuff for the $$. Just not Wireless Apple/Android CarPlay stuff.
Most informative overall-would have been quite beneficial to have shown “how” to perform various functions; I.e., how to release rear seats to fold them forward.

I love how BMW drives, but I don't like the newest X1's looks, too squarish/ boxy, the Q3 looks sleeker and looks great with the blackout addition.
So none of the Q3s have the dynamic front turn signal or was that just for this one?

The base sound system in Audi and BMW beats most other brands, sometimes even the premier sound on brands like GM, Kia, etc.
Audi really dropped the ball not offering the q3 in sportback for US market
The problem with the cheapest models often is the use of plastics that leach volatile compounds that smell and engines that are not well insulated that leach bad air. The end result is a terrible headaches and nothing like a comfortable ride.
You open the windows for a couple of minutes when you get inside. Everyone preaches that.
I like it, but I think I like the X1 better, mostly from much more cargo space and I think more ground clearance.

The amount of plastic used really doesn't give me that luxury vibe. It feels like a slight upgrade to my 2020 Hyundai Tuscon Limited (or Luxury as the trim level is called here in Canada).....If I were to upgrade my ride tomorrow I'd pick Genesis GV70 over Audi Q3/5 on any given day.
GV70 also costs a whole lot more. Lets compare apple to apple !!

Comfort: Q3 (slightly)
Looks: X1 (I like the more boxy shape)
Mpg: X1
Gas: Audi (can take regular gas)
Dashboard panels: Q3 (I hate all touch screen on X1)
I want to have real buttons on Q3 but hate going to gas station lol...

@@itwaswritten804 but Q3 and X1 are both in the same class sub compact. X3 is bigger, competing with Q5. If I had the money, I will take X3 no questions lol. Anyway I ended up with X1, been amazing so far.

Yeah you right. Ive Q7 with the mild hybrid. It just the same. Since the car become heavier, the hybrid ended up just carrying the battery & the tech

The gear stick is really not very good looking
I think audi needs to give better paint options and better rim selections. BMW gives way more options when it comes to rims and paint. Audi interior is also outdated the interior looks the same from 10 years ago and doesn't look luxury. I see cheaper vehicles thats more updated than an audi. They vehicles also need to be redisigned because you really can't tell the difference from the new and old.
Actually it wasn't changed from 2022 even 2023 style.

One reason to have the rear seat slid forward is if you have a pet riding in the back
