Please put the sink under the window if you can!!! Grazie mille🇮🇹🇺🇲 it will look nice looking outside while doing the dishes ect..👋ciao, love the opening of wall
Hello @sussannakbrunllasc605 . There are two options for the layout and I keep switching it around.🤦♂️ I will try get a 'kitchen plans' clip in to descibe the options and restrictions that the space has.
Its great @dr.sarabairdamodio7066 . I've not used it for its internal flights yet but the access to other great places in Europe makes it a great little spot that will no doubt improve in coming years.🤞
@@threeacresofmarche Well , enjoy it and my be one day you chose to sell it or buy new home. In this moment Italian houses worth it to buy as big land is like fat bank account 🌞
5.46, The Smiths - How soon is now. How could you leave without finish to listen to that? 😂 But then, you come back and that's a great start to your trip home. Good stuff man!
Glad you were able to find an easier way to travel back home to be with your children, and it doesn't do your head in to travel. Fantastic. That wall removal was pretty scary for me. But in the end it opened up the area so much. It is looking really good. I live about 1.5 hours by car from Ancona. Nice place. Bravo.
Hello, You are doing a great job with the videos and editing. I watch quite a few UA-cam channels that have been running a lot longer than yours and they don’t compare with the way you produce your content. The house is looking great your ideas are coming to life. Keep up the good work.
Great work, Richard. I admire your attitude. Just a suggestion for the kitchen (if I may). Think about placing the sink at the window, rather than in a corner at the back, if the room allows for it. Also, placing the plumbing through an external wall might be less complicated. From a woman's perspective, doing dishes in a corner is not ideal (for anyone)!
Hi @sueczerniak1266 . I am not sure if you typed this elsewhere or if that was a different person. The layout you suggest is an option - I may try get a kitchen layout into one of the videos so that everyone can see what options and restrictions i have.👍
It's incredible to find a channel like yours, and not really have a lot in common with you or what you do, except maybe the dream of what you are doing. And then getting so hooked on the progress and how you make the videos that I find myself checking UA-cam more often than I used to. Hats off to you, my friend! You are doing an excellent job and you have just the right attitude towards it. 👌👌
Thank you @jenskrogh8683 . That is lovely to read. The entire things is good fun - the house work is as hard as you imagine it to be but the surroundings and simple lifestyle here make up for those challenges.😁
This has got to be my favourite video yet. You can really tell you're getting more confident on camera and your editing skills are getting really good. This is Easily one of my favourite YT channels.
Thank you @MattTHoward . That means a lot. Loads still to learn and try but I think the slow signs of prpgress are starting to show.....a bit like the house renovation!😂
Love your life Richard, all of us that started with you are all behind you %100. Hard work and persistence will pay huge dividends in the end. Thanks for sharing your travel adventure as well, can’t be easy or cheap. But so rewarding. See you next time.
Hi @user-px3ks9ff1c . That is the challenge - trying to do some driving and some flying while keeping the costs down. If organised and planned ahead, the flights are very cheap. It is the car hire costs that are the headache - that is why I drive sometimes.
Really enjoyable. Thank you. Lovely to see the journey to the UK and back as well. Appreciated the humour too 😂. You’ll be done before you know it. Hardly anything left to do now that walls down! 👍🏻🤣
just binging all your posts after being away for a while. Your editing is really getting better on this one. The little travel montage at the beginning was great. Nice video overall, and great progress!
Thanks @elxakiltse8773 . I am enjoying the editing and trying new things each time. Colour grading and sound is still way off though...so much to learn on this editing journey.👍
Absolutely love watching your videos. So compelling. I don't know why. What you are doing is real. You are a great role-model for your children and others. All the best from Toronto, Canada.
Thank you @tinacerven-shaw4656 that is very kind of you to say so. They seem to be enjoying this journey, but there again, not many actually know about the channel so it is quite nice that it is under the radar in that sense. 😂 I really enjoyed my short spell in Toronto - that must be a nice place to live.
I would be nice to fly all the time but the car hire costs get too much....and they ramp up the costs when families are on holiday. Driving suits for the once or twice a year that I do it.😊
When it seems like nothing is happening the way you want or obstacles arise...please remember you are living what a lot of us are dreaming about! I started following you after the second video you posted, editing skills and camera work is getting there mate!
Hi @saxocuphf . Thank you. I do apprecite and am humbled by the messages I get from people saying that this is their dream also. I do feel very fortunate and will never forget that this lifestyle is a very lucky one to be able to explore.👍
Hello Richard congratulations on the acquisition and renovation of your Italian house. Italy has introduced a new visa programme specifically for digital nomads, enabling professionals to work remotely while exploring the country. Just FYI, not sure if it suits you. All the best
I suppose you're not sending out invitations quite yet for your housewarming, eh? 😂 Seriously, great work, and I look forward to seeing your progress each week! (I know it's not in real time; I meant in UA-cam time.)
Great video Richard Nice trip back and forth to England thank you for sharing travels The wall went down nicely and your redoing kitchen will be beautiful Take care and see you in the next video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Quick tip for you, moisten the area that you're going to concrete before you di it so it bonds better, if you don't the dry brick sucks the moisture out the mix and and doesn't adhere as well, you might find it loosens over time
Hi @daveffs1935 . I cleaned it well, wet it all and screwed some little ties in. They hit the edit cut as it was pretty boring and I was in the way of the camera!😂🤦♂️
HI @davidmiller-br4bu This enjoy the journey part that people talk about - they are right. Hard on some days...but keeping going shifts that mood pretty quickly.😊
Hi Richard, I've been following your channel since the beginning. I always thought that Germany was the country with the most bureaucratic administration, followed by countless rules and regulations. But now I have learned from your experience that Italy is in the same league. I wish you all the best and that you slowly but surely achieve the goals you have set for yourself. You are doing a great job! Best regards from Munich (...your new stopover, as I learned). /Pierre
Hi @pierredemenech849 I get the impression that these days there are many countries trying to battle for the lucrative title of being the most beurocratic places to be!😂 It all works out in the end so if you are in no rush then Italy is a very laid back place to be.😎 (It has taken me 2 years to learn that though!)
Loving your content, the potential of this property is immense! Having renovated several UK houses, I know how hard it can be! Just want to send my best wishes fella!
Thank you, Richard, your video really makes one experience the whole thing. I do admire your spirit as I am contemplating a life in Italy - possibly Marche - myself. A break from the cold Nova Scotia winters... all the best to you and your project! Exciting to see it take shape..
Great video! You should be very pleased with yourself, having placed that beam and removed the wall. It really is amazing how removing one wall can make such a difference. Anything you can do yourself in Italy will save you LOTS of time. And some money, too.
Have been looking forward to an update, and it hasn't disappointed 😊 As others have said, we can see you getting better and better with the videos. Keep 'em coming 😁❤😅

Loving the videos Richard! I would love to do what you are doing and it's inspirational and so interesting to watch your progress.Thank you for sharing with the world. Hooked!
Lufthansa - Hanseatic Air - two words combined - Luft (Air) Hansa (Hanseatic), no English 'th' sound. Loving the videos. Still remembering my winter in Urbino, when we had 5 snowfalls that year (they hadn't had any snow the previous three years). The weather, like the driving, can be erratic in italy.
Hi @chekek . I will make some longer but there seems to be a golden rule to put something out when it is done and not over done. As these are still catch up videos I am trying to piece together what I captured. The few days over this video are where I definately decided to go for it and start a channel. I did a one hour video which took me days to put together. That is too hard with a full time job also. 😂👍
Richard really enjoying your videos and progress! Got a kick out of you relaxing in the sun! Enjoy the journey for sure. Watching from Nova Scotia, Canada.
When you say about the stress just disappears when you arrive in Italy and at your place, it’s like the same happens to me,EarPods go in and I’m teleported just for while I’m knocking walls down digging trenches.
I LOVE flying into Ancona….our house is on the train line down in Southern marche, so it’s such a convenient and stress free way to enter and leave Italy (last visit i didn’t even end up renting a car). Just wish there were flight deals more often from the states bc otherwise it can add an extra $2,000+ to the airfare💸💸💸🥴
Hi @bryanneatwood4261 no need for a car or car hire sounds perfect. Yes, I hope that more flights come into Ancona over the coming years. If you break out the connecting flight to Ancona they should be very cheap. Nowhere near an extra few thousand thats for sure. Lufthansa from Munich fly every day and if booked in advance these can be 80 euros or so, maybe less.👍
@@threeacresofmarche yes one would think it would be that simple! We’ve tried to string together flights from the US every which way (even trying to book separate tickets) to make things cheaper, but unfortunately there’s only one codeshare that occasionally has reasonable flights from the US that line up with any connections to Ancona that don’t involve a mid route change of airport (eg CDG to Orly, or LHR to stansted), or an overnight stay somewhere, which defeats the convenience and adds the cost of a hotel. With so few sensible route/flight options, the cheap seats fill up fast and then the rest are completely outrageous. 🥴
14:30 Water drainage is a science and should be approached wisely. When you live on a slope, you have to be prepared to fight the tide! Chinese wisdom)))
Hola Richard, another lovely video. House really beginning to take shape, but slow down a bit your looking tired. From experience our renovation of this house was harder , more stressful, and reduced me to tears more than a complete self build of our last home. Your enthusiasm is catching, but take your time, enjoy the outside. Love from the mountains of Spain. ❤
Hi @patriciapadgett4696 . I know what you mean. These videos do look hectic sometimes but they are edits over a few days to be honest. Slow and stready...there is no rush. But I do want a proper outside terrace and a door from the kitchen area asap!😂
HI @maxelstone . The one side had a solid base from the existing brick and the other was sat on the pad that supports the doorway lintle. I have to do another one soon that will need building up with a padstone.👍
Greetings from Gloucestershire Richard. I was wondering if you are learning Italian and whether language is an issue when dealing with the Geomettra or DIY stores. Love watching you living the dream - I hope to retire to Italy one day.
Hi @paulclay560 . I am learning but the language with these level of meeting was difficult. I had help with a translator that would attend these meetings with me. Good luck with your plans and search. If you can be as good as you can with the language for viewings that should make most of it flow easily. Big meetings - like when you sign for the house - you will have to pay for an official translator. I cover some this in the detail video that I made.👍
Morning Richard People around the world are just loving your channel, and cheering you on! Some are even offering to drop by and help, and that speaks volumes. Be right proud of that. The Man VS Beam episode was like watching a boxing match. You went 6 rounds before your defeat of the beam. Getting ready for another hoist appeared as if you were entering the ring for another round , would have been a fun touch to have a bell ring like at a match. At one time you looked punched drunk and couldn't get a leg up ( hope that doesn't come out the wrong way to a Brit). Thought you would have done the Rocky Dance of Victory but you were too nackerd (? spelling?) spent ( Canadian expression). Not only do you work incredibly hard whilst there, but the time and dosh spent travelling, you certainly have determination down pat. That may not be affordable to others but this your video - your experience. You have graciously shared your different options on that end as well. There was program years back about two brothers that crossed the channel with their boat and travel the rivers in Europe. Once they entered Germany, the game changed - they called it the land of the super efficient. Lufthansa had you convinced of that. Just so much great info shared in this video. You do aim to please. As for the house, I wonder how old is it? It is becoming alive, becoming a home once again. Yes, opening up the wall was such a game changer visually and that also allows for heat from the fireplace to warm up more space. One could hear the joy in your voice, when your hand spanned the future placement of the kitchen and then with the look of new opened up space. You were beaming with pride and joy. That you decided to tap the walls reminded me of a line in a song, "when she is weary, try a little tenderness". Still a ways to go, so pace yourself like in a good bike race. Remember your mask. Love of the land is something many city dwellers don't understand. This is growing on you more with each visit, having field envy made me laugh, but those distant fields showed that farmer's connection to the land, respect for it, and his pride. Wanting your field to look nice and pretty was priceless. That would be something only the city mouse would have said to the country mouse. It is not only the warmth of the sun and blue skies that has lured you in, but the land has touched you a way others just can't comprehend. This is a milestone in your life, relish every moment of the challenge and that this old house and three acres will change you. Manchester could be a distant memory sooner than you think. Life is short and life is only now. Once all is done it will be like the end of a really good book. Couldn't put it down, and a bit sad that it is finished. But you will look around and be so much richer for what you have achieved. Bravo. Sorry, another long comment from me. Just me.
I forgot to add, when you were hauling out all the metal stuff, there was an old plow that would have been pulled by a horse or an ox. It was hard work to plow a field back then. There would be a leather harness worn by both man and beast, as well as to the plow to hold it more steady/in line. My father used to do manual farm labor in Europe and he used those. One time while plowing out in the field, the horse picked up the scent of a mare and bolted. It took everything for my father to get out of his harness, the horse running full out, and with the plow swinging and flying all over the place, as well as my father. The horse came home 3 days later, plow completely bent and smashed up. The farmer was so mad at my father, he said back to him, "It was all could to get free otherwise he would have been dead". I may have grown up as a city mouse but I have a lot of country mouse in me. There is a strength brought on by farming, gives one a backbone and pride. Being connected to land - is a whole other experience. To smell the wind and watch the sky.
Hi @LindaSiuzdak Thank you for your kind words and for writing. What a lucky escape your father had when that horse bolted! Wow. I have kept some of the things that I am pulling out with a mind to clean them up and leave them as ornamets around the garden, if I ever get to the dressing up of this place!😂 It would be a shame to scrap everything so keeping some of the old farming tools could be nice. Best wishes to you.
@@threeacresofmarche Absolutely agree with your plan. There is work everywhere you look, but just look at the progress you've made! Maybe you could hang some old tools on the exterior wall of the shed. I saw you look at that old plow when you pulled it out, and really thought you would have kept it. Paying homage to the old farm. Maybe even had kept that old tractor seat and fixed it to a tree stump as an all season chair. Water under the bridge now. I have some of my fathers old tools - well worn and stood the test of time. Like they say one person's trash is someone else's treasure. PS - I would have dug a trench along the side of the road to the drain, that way you wouldn't have a dip in the road. Only a thought.
I have kept a few things that look quirky or could be reused. If I did throw some away it was because I had a few of them and they were the tatty ones. I will get them all back out when it comes time to do the gardening and design of all that.
Just love how you are coming into your own ...not an easy thing to open yourself up to potential negativity . Guessing part of the bonus of flying is also gaining more time in Itely home rather than using up eu days travelling tho youve probably mentioned all this and Ive missed it lol. Love the ever increasing video skills 😂 well done glad to see you happy
Hi @fionamcphail2797 you do get a few nagative people but the mass majority are lovely and supportive so that quickly washes away those trying to knock things down. The main cost is car hire over long periods and so if I time things well with bringing my own car down and then popping back on a flight may sounds expensive but the flights can be very affordable (if booked in well in advance). I think the closest I have sailed to the 90 days limit is 86 days. A few weeks back in England resets the levels quickly enough.😂
If you need to do angle grinding indoors you can use the garden hose to great effect, put it on a fine spray setting and aim it at the cut, you'll work out the best place to aim it. I've used it many times and apart from a gritty puddle to clean up, it's a thousand times better than dealing with a thick coat of dust over everything. One other thing, does your standard car insurance cover you for long stays in Europe or do you pay for an extension? Keep up the good work Rob
You were lucky to find such a beautiful piece of land. Renovating the house is a lot of work but it will all come together. I would make planting more olive trees first on the list because it will take time for them to grow before you get olive oil production that can make you some money. I follow a couple in beautiful Sicily that was able to harvest and sell their oil this year. On your kitchen for me having a window over the sink is a must. I also like the farmhouse sinks you can get in the US. Do not know about you. Keep up the good work. Glad your videos are short because for many it is hard to find the time to watch a long video. Cheers 🥂👍
Hi @kimhicks4781 . I will do a kitchen layout clip as there are a few options on the layout with a few restrictions. I am trying different length videos to see the sweet spot. Most want them longer. You can pause and come back...😁🙌 Joking aside - thanks for taking the time and watching when you can. I really appreciate it.
Hello, I follow you and look forward to your videos. I’m excited to see you working on your house. Switching off the wall looked difficult, but I think it will be very good 👍. How much land do you have for the house I have plans to buy a stone house-barn in the central part of Portugal which I will equip. I look forward to following you online. Kind regards from Sweden 😀 @@threeacresofmarche
I don't envy you having to go back to dreary English weather. I'm spoilt living in Perth Australia where it's sunny one day and brilliant the next. Watching a few ppl in the same situation as you are atm and some are opting to spend the time out of the Schengen zone in Albania which so convenient to Italy but is apparently very cheap to live in too. Btw, that opening is making the place look much more liveable. Can't wait till you put in a new kitchen.
Hi @yvanapantino273 . Albania is quite easy to get to from le Marche with the ferry going to Croatia from Ancona. I have never been to Albania but am reading similar things. The Digial Nomad visa is about to be released, which could change things. In saying that, once my daughters are older I am thinking that the non six months in Italy could be somewhere different each time...while I am fit enough to travel that is.🤞 Sunny one day and brilliant the next....sounds perfect.🙌
Thanks jean, it is ,I found some other comments which confirm it. Dont know where I got tony from, anyway thanks, Yey!! RICH gr8 little journey, cheers jean, (and Rich)
Hi @SAGUY1971 . If you are flying into London (is that Heathrow) then there are quite a few flight options if you don't mind an airport change. Check flights from Gatwick or Stanstead. Ryanair fly from Stanstead to Ancona and these flights can be as cheap as 25euros (plus baggage and everything else they charge for). However that track through London and out to that airport may not be as appealing as an easier flight from Heathrow and a car hire in Italy. Check KLM also as they do connecting flights that change in Amsterdam (Schipol Airport). Safe trip!
Loving your journey, videos and updates! 💯 Thank you for the information regarding flights into Ancona with Lufthansa. I was able to find flights from San Francisco that fly into Ancona and priced less than flying into Florence for my future trip to Le Marche region. 👍 I'm also trying to gain the courage and drop the fear of creating my own UA-cam channel. You are inspiring me, thank you! 🌟
Hi @lisasbeautifuljourney . San Franciso to Ancona sounds perfect for when I am ready for a house swap!😂 Re starting a channel...I think I have had a very lucky start to this journey but one thing that pushed me was the amount of 'how to videos' that say 'just start' and then the feeling of nothing to lose. It is a lot of work - a lot of editing and planning - but it is very satisfying. Good luck with it all - go for it.🙌
@@threeacresofmarche Joking aside, I would be up for San Francisco - Ancona house swap🤩 Thank you for your kind advice Re starting a channel. I just made my long distance move this past Monday. The jet lag and time change have me a bit slow, but once I’m settled over the next month, I will be focused on ‘just starting’. I have plenty of videos and photos over the past year(s) to edit and post. 🎥🎬
new to the channel. love what you're doing! for the multiple angle camera shots, are you repositioning the same camera multiple times or do you have several set up to keep continuity? also, united or city?
This door hinge repair thing is a little unconventional, Richard 😁. But if it holds, your success will prove you right. Great vid anyway. By the way, I was born and grew up in Munich, your stopover on the way to Ancona. Now I'm living 30 kilometres away.
After the first 10 years of living in Le Marche my wife and I started shuttle travel first traveling home for Christmas with a car load of goodies and two dogs, but after we had got the house sorted we would spend 6-8 weeks in each place until the dogs got too old to make the journey. Then my wife took a job at one of the universities and we reversed the pattern sometimes flying some times driving (2/3 days), Le Marche is probably as far south in Italy as it would be possible to do this. I would suggest that he should look at the laths and roof beams and maybe slip an insulating membrane, it falls into Italian building regulations, is quite easy to do and makes a world of difference both in the winter and the summer. Does he have a Geometer or is he winging it?!!!
Hi @kurtmunson5539 . The flights? They vary depending on when you book them. An early booking could be £50 or £80 while nearer the date then price can be very high. They sell out most flights so booking early is advised.👍
Tony! (least I think it's Tony??) nice ep, short though!. Your kickin' goals. The place is coming along nicely, good when you make some progress. Cheers cant wait for next ep! *just wanna check it is Tony right??*
great video and congrats on the success of the breakthrough of the wall and fixing your door🙂😎 watched all videos till now, but no questions for the previous one, so here come maybe more 😄 with what resolution are you filming on your gopro? did you do a lot of DIY also in Manchester? it looks like you're really skilled and like building stuff comes easily for you. I'd need to look up video son how to do it, every time i'd try something 😅 what's on the renovation plan at the moment? looks like the wall project was at the end of last year. got any favourite wine that you would recommend from Marche? Saluti from the south part of Italy 🍷😃
Hello @nejcpilih Thanks for the questions.😊 I film in 4k but have not published in 4k yet...I am about to try that out. I don't do that much DIY but was brought up in a family that did not mind having a go at making and doing things. I look at YT for tips all the time too!😂 The current work is all around that kitchen area - everything needs something doing so that is taking quite some time. Otherwise it is all outside and keeping that in shape. My wine tips is try them all!😂 Sorry - joke - I am trying a few but am no expert. Saluti!
when you put that patch cement in around the hinge for your door the existing concrete should have been wet. The dry material will suck the water out of the new material and leave about an 1/8" of it dry and crumbly. it won't bond properly. If you have trouble in future that will be why. But you may get away with it. you may have wet it and i just couldn't see that. Tip of the day. Carry on.
Hi @wayneevans5050 . Thanks for the tips. I did clean and then wet the area - I also put in a few ties to try to get it to bond well with the existing parts. Filming was poor as I was in the way of the camera! I will try add notes if I skip parts on the edit. Thanks for the tips - I really do appreciate them all as I am learning most of this as I go.
HI @thomasclifton31 . I am saving a lot of it for the base / footings of the patio that I will build once I know the level that the kitchen door will finish. I hope to repurpose as much as I can. Scrap metal and asbestos being the two main ones that need to be taken away properly.
It is years away from that @One_Crazy_Dog_Mum 😂 I am starting to recognise names from those that always watch and comment so I hope that I can keep replying to as many as I can. Thanks for watching🙌
@@threeacresofmarche Richard, you’ll hit 100k quicker than you think, I feel your transparency with all the permits & delays & fee’s and doing it yourself is what’s going to make the channel take off, it’s one thing to buy a fixer upper in Italy and make it look glamorous but being a renovator myself I want to see the reality and that’s what your giving us, with bonus tours of beautiful places. 🥂
With the removal of the wall you start to get an idea of how things will look and the interior lighting. Hopefully the barn door stays on , but I imagine that you put plenty of stones against it to ensure history doesn't repeat itself.
@raymonde4272 when it blew off it was almost as though I could see it happening but stupidly decided to let it stay open. The wind that day was crazy!🤦♂️
Richard. Stupid question….Just Curious to know what you do with all the rubble. Does Italy have dumpsters, etc that you can rent or does the town pick it all up weekly?
Hi @luciodeluca3257 I am saving all the rubble for the base and footings for the patio and some steps that I will have in the future. I have not looked into having rubbish or rubble picked up but I did get some help with the scrap metal where they took it for free and kept the profits from the sale. A fair deal. Hi @SergeiSmalkov . They had an old dual fuel stove / boiler down by the bathroom that they removed. I looked into replacing that but am preferring to go with electric heating and get solar in to cover as much of that as possible. It seems easier and cheaper to zone individual heaters....but I am still researching.
I have watched from the beginning. Your production and you becoming more comfortable in front of the camera is very evident. Keep up the good work!

Nothing like the warm sun on your face! i really like your channel you are so pleasant and easy to watch!
Thank you for watching @leighlaaltilio6672
Love your life Richard, all of us that started with you are all behind you %100. Hard work and persistence will pay huge dividends in the end. Thanks for sharing your travel adventure as well, can’t be easy or cheap. But so rewarding. See you next time.
Hi @user-px3ks9ff1c . That is the challenge - trying to do some driving and some flying while keeping the costs down. If organised and planned ahead, the flights are very cheap. It is the car hire costs that are the headache - that is why I drive sometimes.
I just wouldn't return to England.😊@@threeacresofmarche

I hope there is a nice ending in this novel and it does not turn into a never ending chew to read through @KymHammond😂🙌

That trip looks far better than having to drive for so long, it makes such a difference.👍
I would be nice to fly all the time but the car hire costs get too much....and they ramp up the costs when families are on holiday.
Driving suits for the once or twice a year that I do it.😊

a little bit of rebar in that patch would have made it stronger.
You don’t give up Rich.. you find a way to do it and just get stuck in 👏
HI @davidmiller-br4bu This enjoy the journey part that people talk about - they are right. Hard on some days...but keeping going shifts that mood pretty quickly.😊
Hi Richard,
I've been following your channel since the beginning.
/Pierre
Hi @pierredemenech849 I get the impression that these days there are many countries trying to battle for the lucrative title of being the most beurocratic places to be!😂
It all works out in the end so if you are in no rush then Italy is a very laid back place to be.😎 (It has taken me 2 years to learn that though!)
Loving your content, the potential of this property is immense! Having renovated several UK houses, I know how hard it can be! Just want to send my best wishes fella!
Thank you @steveallen1635 . Long way to go but but the weather helps when you can sit outside in the shade for a nap between smashing things up.😊

Hi @chekek . I will make some longer but there seems to be a golden rule to put something out when it is done and not over done.

You may want some padstones under the ends of your beam
HI @maxelstone . The one side had a solid base from the existing brick and the other was sat on the pad that supports the doorway lintle. I have to do another one soon that will need building up with a padstone.👍
Blimey that was a busy few days. ✈️Great video as ever never boring. Keep up the good work, can’t wait to see further progress. Tony 🇬🇧

I cover some this in the detail video that I made.👍
Great vid catch up Richybaby. :)

Looks like you you have this video editing thing Down! Great music in the beginning.
Thank you @TAG993 that is nice to hear. It is a long process but quite enjoyabe when it comes together well. A lot still to learn though !😂
Morning Richard
People around the world are just loving your channel, and cheering you on!
Hi @LindaSiuzdak
Thank you for your kind words and for writing.
What a lucky escape your father had when that horse bolted! Wow.
I have kept some of the things that I am pulling out with a mind to clean them up and leave them as ornamets around the garden, if I ever get to the dressing up of this place!😂
It would be a shame to scrap everything so keeping some of the old farming tools could be nice.
Always wait for your videos. Keep going👍
I am enjoying it all so will keep plodding along @Radzio2006😁
If you need to do angle grinding indoors you can use the garden hose to great effect, put it on a fine spray setting and aim it at the cut, you'll work out the best place to aim it. I've used it many times and apart from a gritty puddle to clean up, it's a thousand times better than dealing with a thick coat of dust over everything.
One other thing, does your standard car insurance cover you for long stays in Europe or do you pay for an extension? Keep up the good work Rob
Thanks for the tips @donkeykong7777 . I have a lot more knocking about to do so will try these tips next time.👍
You were lucky to find such a beautiful piece of land.

In saying that, once my daughters are older I am thinking that the non six months in Italy could be somewhere different each time...while I am fit enough to travel that is.🤞
Sunny one day and brilliant the next....sounds perfect.🙌

Lovely video🥰 well done with the wall removal
Thank you @alisoncoomber3698
So glad you showed the route you fly as I am hoping to visit Le Marche in Sept (flying from California then to LON ) Will do Lufthansa to Ancona.
Safe trip!

Hi @lisasbeautifuljourney . San Franciso to Ancona sounds perfect for when I am ready for a house swap!😂
Re starting a channel...I think I have had a very lucky start to this journey but one thing that pushed me was the amount of 'how to videos' that say 'just start' and then the feeling of nothing to lose. It is a lot of work - a lot of editing and planning - but it is very satisfying.

Benvenuto a casa caro!
Munich is the best airport by a mile. Try out Airbräu - the only airport based microbrewery in the world. Great food too.
Hi @SoftwareInTheWoods - I will give that a try.
Of course there's a F.C.Bayern store at Munich Airport, where else.👍
Hi @howardcopestake1036 . I have a geometer and the permissions etc.👍
You have a geometry!!! I am soooo sorry for you, I hope his name isn’t Marchetti!!!
What was the cost to travel that route? Enjoying your journey. Thanks for letting us tag along!

Saluti from the south part of Italy 🍷😃
Hello @nejcpilih
Thanks for the questions.😊
I film in 4k but have not published in 4k yet...I am about to try that out.
I don't do that much DIY but was brought up in a family that did not mind having a go at making and doing things. I look at YT for tips all the time too!😂
The current work is all around that kitchen area - everything needs something doing so that is taking quite some time. Otherwise it is all outside and keeping that in shape.
My wine tips is try them all!😂 Sorry - joke - I am trying a few but am no expert.
Saluti!
How soon is now
when you put that patch cement in around the hinge for your door the existing concrete should have been wet.
How much was the parking while you was away for weekend?
Not much @andyjlogue . A less than 10 euros per day...maybe 7 🤷♂️? All the prices are on the Ancona Airport website.👍
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Thank you @mariushegli . 🙌
Question: what happens to all of the demo/ construction debris? Does a specific company have to come and pick it up?
HI @thomasclifton31 . I am saving a lot of it for the base / footings of the patio that I will build once I know the level that the kitchen door will finish. I hope to repurpose as much as I can. Scrap metal and asbestos being the two main ones that need to be taken away properly.
The chanel’s growing like a weed Richard, don’t forget us og’s when you 100k subs. 😂 ❤Shell🇦🇺
Thanks. I am editing the next 'what happened through planning' video now. Its funny watching it back as it shows how bumpy permissions can get here.😁
Just a quick lick of paint left to do 😂🤣
I like it rustic with rough bricks exposed. I think it is turnkey ready.😁
That is in video #7 ua-cam.com/video/DgPdMRTDM20/v-deo.htmlsi=oMzEY-_fVk7f-Pxt 👍
@@threeacresofmarche excellent! Keep up the good work!
Interesting, there are radiators. Where the heating comes from?
Hi @SergeiSmalkov . They had an old dual fuel stove / boiler down by the bathroom that they removed. I looked into replacing that but am preferring to go with electric heating and get solar in to cover as much of that as possible. It seems easier and cheaper to zone individual heaters....but I am still researching.
@@threeacresofmarche Thank you!
