Beretta Jr. made it look as if he was shooting a .22lr pistol haha! Amazing, Beretta Sr must be really proud :-)
By the way, I've seen many of your videos and this one in particular for the second time I believe, wanted to remember your conclusion regarding the DPM system on the 96.
However, I also wanted to point out that your videos, while excellent in a wide array of aspects, are just fantastic in the particular department of helping me show my close ones why they shouldn't be afraid/wary of this or that caliber because of the fame they could have in regards to their felt recoil. Both of you fine gents got different technics when shooting, and yet both handle recoil as if it wasn't there at all. So thank you very much for making the videos, not only a pleasure to watch, but also super helpful as well. Cheers and Happy New Year!
I can always appreciate a good honest review
It's too bad there wasn't a way to objectively measure the recoil before and after, and to see the objective differences with a 9 mm also
Definitely a slick looking pistol! The only Beretta 96 variants they make now is the 96A1 model, which having a full 1913 rail on a all metal frame pistol is VERY beneficial. When you look at the advantages that .40 S&W has over 9MM or even .45 ACP, it becomes a very palatable caliber for self-defense or carry. I've never had a problem with 'snappy recoil', but you can't expect to have a powerful one stop shop WITHOUT atleast one downside. You're gonna have to give up something to get a little in return. One of the main reasons I don't buy Freedom Munitions is that it's not loaded particularly hot, why yes it is much lower in price it's not ideal to train with IN MY OPINION. Your typical self-defense loads in .40 S&W (especially the 165/155-grain) aren't gonna be loaded as light. ANYWAYS, appreciate the video!
It's 5 years later and the 96 STILL only has like 3 options, while the 92 has SEVERAL sweet looking options. 🥴🥺🙄
Had one. Loved it. Sold it. Miss it.
You can now convert the safety to a de-cocker.
You guys make interesting and good videos. I'd buy a Beretta 96. Haven't seen one in a while.
Best looking Semi-auto
Superb pistol
the recoil reduction system has more to do with preventing frame cracking and extending service life than reducing felt recoil. The early 96's were prone to frame cracking which is why they started making the slanted dust covers. i prefer the straight DC's myself. i run a springco recoil system in my 92 & 96 Brigs. I havent tried the DPMS systems
I agree. I've tried the DPM system in several of my guns., and the difference in felt recoil is negligible, at best. They have always worked though.
That's not altogether true. I run several DPM systems in my 10mm's, 9x25, 9x23 Win, 40 Super, 45 Super and 40's where the cartridges are loaded to max pressure. While they do extend service life and prevent cracked frames & slides. They also help to mitigate some of the felt recoil. I also have a couple of the springco's
wasnt that eliminated with the "FS" slide?
That is exactly what I was wondering about - whether a system such as this might extend the (comparatively) iffy service life of the 96 vs. the 92.
I have a line on a 96 and will look at the DPM spring if I pick it up.
Thanks for the honest review. May you have a nice day fine gents. +1 and subbed.
I still would like to see a 357sig or a 45acp version of the 92 or 96 series versions. I met Berreta staff at my range in Virginia and a few people asked about that possibility
You can swap in a 357 sig Barrell into the 96 in case you didn't know that yet.
Put one in my 96g centurion. Flawless. Love it.
Another Video Review for Our Channel with over 1 Million Views!!!! That is a Bunch of Views for Any Gun Channels on UA-cam. Thanks goes out to all of you as we get ready to hit that 1 Million View Number. God Bless You All, and Stay Safe out there during these crazy times.
Beretta Sr from: Beretta9MMUSA.
It looks like a robust part, that should provide plenty of service. That FTF seems to be an anomaly. Let's blame it on a 'Monday'.
Hey guys great video. I shot my M9 recently with the SSGuide Rod that I ordered using your discount code a few months ago. It is a sweet shooter. Seemed to help keep the muzzle flip down and kept me on sight better than the stock plastic guide rod did.
Got the same pistol did add a SS guide rod and through on a pair of pachmayr 🌹 wood grips in it from my M9 I had a while back definitely prefer the 96FS over the M9 or 92FS
I love the 96. One of the best pistols I’ve ever picked up.
As
Cooking
Now that's a nice piece of heat right there. Less recoil means more control.
I want a pice but how much
THE BEST GUN IN THE WORLD SO I HAVE ONE.!!!
Good ole .40 caliber Beretta 96.
I got one of these when they first came out 96fs, just a scaled up 92fs. LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!! An amazing device. If I had the Inox variant, I would still have it. Iwish I didn't sell it, but I fell into some hard times then. 🙁
Nice & Thanks Sir :)
I like every Beretta pistol
Very nice,
My grandfather M70 7.65 it's steel working after 40 years and a lot of shots.
What about the Pico?
Amazing.
Beautiful gun i love it
Could the trigger pull of the Beretta be modified, it's a very long pull
Nice target shooting. Very good shooter. Say hi from Colombia
Beautiful pistol
You can’t go wrong with Beretta
Big fan of Beretta and this channel
Keep up the good work
Good shooting👌🏼💯
I love this gun 🔫
Nice pistol very nice I like Beretta
My 92 already feels like a 22, the only thing I replaced was the D spring for the trigger, the breach allows for max gas disbursement mine actually had a ported barrel on it when I bought it so that might be why but it’s a steal slide aluminum alloy frame handgun it’s not tiny or small enough to have any noticeable recoil imo
would like to get a Apx however the state I live in is Behind Enemy Lines and I can't purchase it in my state 😔
Same gun I'm getting monday
Nice pistol 👍
In the market for a full size 40 cal. Love my M9A4. Nice vid!!!
I want a 96 now
Good day to you both hope all is well. question for you do you know if they have any decent triggers for the Beretta Storm? as well as that same recoil system reduction for it. I like some far however for me it's just missing a few little tweaks. I like a more aggressive grip of the find something for that as the recoil not that bad at all seeing I have the 9mm like to see if I can make it even smoother😃
Beautiful gun & sounds to gooood 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫
First installation of a new spring you will need some good spring lube for your 96s.
My fevrout gun
Great video.
I love this. I love to shoot with my Beretta.
It's a so nice pistol. ❤️❤️💖💕♥️
I just look other video of you.
Greats from Stasi Germany 😠
Manu

I love Beretta pistol nice work
Tame that vicious Beretta 92 recoil!
It's one of the best I call it the bb king
The two of you are great shooters wich measm Any gun at your hands would do Just Great!
alexandre cruz da costa Hey Sir, Thank-you very much. Beretta Sr.
What a beautiful handgun..
I have never had an issue jam or engaging the safety while pulling the slide .if you pull the slide with thumb under the decocker in can’t engage it .
with that spring of the cart it is easy to jam the weapon ... as it happened in fact
Woooow nice gun
I love beretta
Beretta make the sexiest pistols.
His swag is cool
Given the recent FBI decision to go back to the 9mm from the 40, due to their ballist testing, is there a reason to get a 40?
The 40 is a Fantastic Fight Stopper. In real shooting situations and I know that for a fact. My Sheriff’s Office used them for almost 10 years with a very effective outcome. The problem with the police is the 40 caliber rounds is hard on a handgun when you shoot 300 or 400 rounds 2 or 3 times a year. If you can practice with 100 or 200 rounds twice a year they will last a long time. I did a Video talking about my issued Glock 22 in 40 Caliber snapping the pins that hold it together around the 18,000 and 20,000 round marks. Replace the plastic pins every 15,000 rounds…. They also have metal pin replacements out there. Cheers!
B9USA Sr.
They do have a little kick than other 40's but a good reliable piece
buzzsah I like that it's reliable. but I just hate recoil. I'm a very precision focused person.
it's sad because that gun is so beautiful.
Convert all Beretta 92/96 to Gs (decocker only) and you got a good gun.
serilus4life I agree, it is a nice change.
Beretta Sr.
serilus4life for real. I mean, I don’t live in a state where you can open carry a big gun like the 92/96, but carry/duty guns shouldn’t have safeties.
@@Callsign_Neuro I disagree. A gun needed to fire when inadvertently left on save to a huge liability. Having it read to go when picked up -every time- is the safest. The 1'st shot is a long and deliberate trigger pull, & the trigger won't pull itself. Of course, the best safety is between your ears.
Problem may have been a bad round ( underpowered ) and not the recoil spring .
Nice gun.
Ah, I run a 16 pound Wolff spring in my 96, shoots like a kitten.
Thanks
That fail to feed was probably the ammo. Freedom munitions is the only ammo that has ever made my g23 gen 3 hiccup. Couple rounds had an overall length out of spec. Too long. It was 180g fmj new.
Arma boa para a Policia Brasileira, Pistola BERRETTA 96 cab 9mm, dificil de dar pane, excelente arma Top de mais da conta.
You guys should try the Taurus PT92 to see If there is any diference from the Beretta FS92 !
What grain ammo were you using for this test?
I didn’t know about this product. My brass at the range was hitting people 35’ to the right-rear of my position isolated so my only alternative was to order more recoil springs from x-shooting supply. Now I have several stacked in there, I can barely rack the slide, so I’ll definitely look into this product you have here on your 96fs! I tried reloading with less powerful loads, slower burning powder, etc, but still used the springs for more consistency.
I think you accidentally locked the slide back for that malfunction.
Einzelgänger I just watched the video again, and I think you are 100% correct. Thank-you!
Beretta Sr.
Cool vid.. I don’t understand the over hand racking though... it’s not a 1911 or Glock or Sig etc. it’s a beautiful Beretta. That’s how you can accidentally it the safety and also get your hand caught in the open breach... ouch!
I turn gun on it’s side and rack it from behind thumb and forefinger 😊👍🏼
I have a spare slide and barrel in 40 to switch out on my 92. 🔫👍😀
I’ve only ever had problems when using freedom munitions
What other upgrades have been done if any?
I been trying to find a 92 Brigadier inbox one of the few models and get in the state I live in with their extortion list. hope to be able to enjoy a one one day soon. did the so-called high capacity magazine ban go into effect to your state? Hopefully not.
I got one this week it's very beautiful I love the trigger shoots way better then my glock it's also very sexy
Interesting but not really sold on this. Need to see does this really reduce recoil. My 96 shoots fine as is. But interesting.
Run your 96 like it is my buddy..
There ain't a such thing as men anymore... Everytime I hear a grown man crying about how the 40 has too much recoil it makes me want to go on a war path..
Just got my 96g centurion back from my brother in law. Gonna upgrade the recoil system, is that system worth it or just get a SS guide rod and new spring
Georgia Bulldog On this handgun the New Spring and SS guide rod will work just fine. Beretta Sr.
@@BERETTA9mmUSA thank you
The 92fs INOX system shoots like a dream.
I want a beretta problem is I have plenty of 9mm and I don't particularly like 40S&W, why couldn't they make this in 45acp???
I completely agree with you i want one in 45 ACP.
Where did you buy that system? and give me the Infos to order that Please... Thank you very much
- I had Bereta combo 92/96 1 gun with 2 slides.....Need one more set!
ThepDenNgoaiBien DPM Systems, it is under the video in the description box of the video. Beretta Sr.
Can you install this on the PT-100/101?
Why didn't he show the release when he installed the spring?
will it fit M9A3?
It looks like it recoils more than the Glock gen 4
You do not need to lock the slide back to remove the slide.
I’d suggest lubricating a new rod system with multiple springs before installation.
Nice bmw☺
Is this recoil reduction rod also available for the A1 series? Would love to replace the crappy plastic guide rod in my 96A1...
omegazerotg17 If you look at the box in the video, they neglected to mention the sticker also includes the A1 models
If that's the case, I'll be looking into that. Thanks
why is the performance shaft plastic in the current beretta pistols?
Less muzzle weight, less metal-on-metal friction. From a functional point of view there is really nothing wrong in the use of plastic for not-stressed parts like the guide rod, but many prefer them to be made of metal anyway, and that's legit.
My son has the old 96 elite and it kicks like a 38
If he hasn’t tried it tell him to try the 135 grain .40 cal round. The standard is like 180-165 and that 135 grain helps with the recoil. By the way I got the 96 Elite II and it’s a very nice piece of hardware.👍
I like beretta 9mm pistol
How is tisas zigana?
When they make a M96 in 45 ACP i'll buy one i don't like the PX4 .
Hell Raiser the px4 ugly asf
Mine with the ss rod has never failed to feed even when dirty. Hmmmm.
My fave 9mm is Beretta 92 it's the Ferrari of handguns but recoil reduction? It's only 9mm. I suppose though if you want to stuff some really hot ammo though it. You're complicating an elegant system by adding more springs. The Beretta 92 or Sig 226 are the only two 9mm autos I really trust with very hot 9mm ammo except when we're talking about 357 Sig. I don't shoot any 9mm and worry about recoil. I shoot .44 magnum one handed and have bullet hole size groups and I'm not particularly a big guy. I can wield a Beretta 92 like it's nothing, I don't see why recoil matters with 9mm. My rifles could use a bit of recoil management maybe. BOOM! I love it.
how much she costs this gun. i want to buy it.
What is the price ??
How much harder does it make it to rack the slide?
Margalus Good question, there is no noticeable difference in racking the slide. Beretta Sr.
I was 18 when I d fire the 96 she packs a punch alright
hows this versus the 5" walther ppq?
PPQ is 9 mm. The 92 is a MUCH smoother shooter, no comparison.
Wanted to order one but wouldn't you know that it is SOLD OUT !!!
Price ?
