I don't think the toast will work on top of a wood block like that since its no longer touching part of the multiblock. Think you have to use the cooking for blockheads counter.
Protip: You can prevent your crops from dying by using a heating coil. No roof needed, as long as the crops are directly adjacent to each other and the coil.
Put the toaster on a kitchen counter and it will become part of the multiblock. This will enable the recipes in the cooking table that use the toaster.
It depends on how easy it is to get bonemeal, but he can basically just sit there and spam right-click and bonemeal a fruit on the tree and just let it pop off automatically. Also, the larger the number of fruit trees one plants out in an orchard, the bigger the chance that more of them will be ripe at once. If he finds a good balance between number of trees and number of fruit on trees, it's basically free dirt. It's not necessarily faster dirt, just more dirt and it's totally free.

Pahimar isn't the only one who can freeze to death in this map. I died a few time because I didn't pay attention to my temperature while doing stuff in my cool base. And I still hate this questing mod. Can't pre-finish crafting quests and I had to recraft a sag mill and smelter because I made them before the quest was open. EDIT: Crafting a part of it, then going inside to place it and back to crafting a single part again outside killed me. Please don't do that again. If you know you will need multiple of the elements, make all of them or bring a crafting table with yourself.
You know its kinda funny that they're using solar panels to turn solar radiation into electricity and then into heat so when you think about it, it's simpler to just use the radiation from the sun
Violet - It's easier to concentrate that solar radiation and store it, so you can use more all at once. You can't cook beef just by laying it out in the sun ;) (Though jerky is a thing, but that's drying, not cooking)
The Raven Black I think that's disabled in this pack? I haven't played it but I would assume if they decided to make a water gen then infinite water sources aren't possible like in Invasion.
Eric Poore they could of course be playing a different version but i am playing this pack and there is a block called infinite water source from the pressure pipes mod.
The incompatibilities between AA food (specially ones that require or use the knife) and cooking for blockheads has annoyed me greatly in my attempts to build a pack that plays nice. To open the port, Search UPNP Port Opener in Google, and download it. Then, open the thing you just downloaded. Click "Connect", and wait for it to connect to your router. Once you get a list of things up at the top, look to the right-hand side of the window, and click "New". This is where it gets a bit complicated. Click "New Port" (or something similar; im not at my computer right now.) Set the "External Port" to 25565. Set the "Internal Port" to the port number minecraft spat out in chat when you opened the world to LAN. Name the preset "LAN". Click "Save". Click on the new "LAN" preset and click "Use". Go into Google and type "ip". THIS IS WHAT YOUR FRIENDS USE TO CONNECT TO YOUR WORLD. DONT TELL ANYONE YOU DON'T TRUST YOUR IP. That includes me ;). A few things to note: 1. The server will not be up if you are not in the world. 2. This is the easiest way to do it, other ways are a heck of a lot more complicated. 3. Do a 1 block deep trench and place the sand right next to it - it will make a two block high wall. Husks can't climb it. So rush towards two or three wooden shovels, build the trench and you're safe. Make two or three wooden swords, clean the trench on the next day and make it two by two deep and the wall two blocks high. After a sandstorm: Clean the trench of mobs (good way to do it is with a bucket of lava) & clean out the sand blocks. Also cooling coils will help you survive the hot days - they can bring you pretty low when you combine them with water. Craft 1 snad with 2 pieces of sand - cacti and sugar canes will grow faster on that. Look up how to make a plain vanilla cacti farm. When you reached the cobblestone generator from tiny progressions: Put a chest next to it, tada, a ton of cobble which can be used for tools. And use a watering can on your crops. Potatoes and weed will make a good supply for dirt. Beware of too cold temperatures during winter - it will wither your vanilla crops.
Tips Volume 2: * This slime sling is pretty awesome for traveling. It won't use saturation and water. It's also great for climbing something up, like a huge tree * Diamonds make shiny armor, but Emeralds are hard as rock. A whole set of it and you're ready to cuddle with a bunch of husks (really, you won't take damage) * Explore, but be careful. There are Spider Dungeons (Those with the minecarts) around the world. You can find them pretty easily because they're caved in and make funny lines on the map. Also a brick building with a basement looks awesome, but the residents are not cool with your tresspassing (LOTS of spawners) * Make outposts. You want to plunder the town? Bring Water and Food with you, also a nice old iron door so you are safe from monsters when there are too many of them. * A bucket of Lava is a great defense weapon. Place it on a wall, let it trickle one block down and pick the source block up again. The trickling lava will go down to the ground and damage monsters. * You need more space? Replace the top layer of sand with cobblestone. Tada, now you can dig under it. Or you use your plane as a ladder to build another layer above you. Unlimited Space without expanding your wall! * You produce water / lava / creosite oil? Make a flood gate and store 16 Buckets of it. You have a ton of iron? Make a drum. * 6 Iron makes 16 Iron Bars, which will be 4 Iron Meshes. You can place one in a heavy sieve and sieve a ton of compressed dust / gravel / sand. Faster than the regular sieve AND will take only 1 duration per operation, but you get the resources from 9 sand/dust/gravel. And last, but not least: * Create the kitchen blocks. It will help you with creating food from your resources. * Get the market from Pam's Harvestcraft. You can buy seeds there for some emeralds.
