    The way both Blake and Corey smiled in the same time when Igli has such high hope of seeing Gendry is just priceless🤣
    I love our queen of thorns but Sir Davos is definitely in my Top5🤣

    Ian McShane is legendary as a cantankerous old man but brilliant actor. Excellent not only in John Wick but also HBO’s own Deadwood

      I remember him in a UK TV show call Lovejoy which he stared in from 1986 to 1994 (lol here me showing my age), also stared in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides as Blackbeard he played a lot of good rolls

    The Hound coming after you with an axe is more terrifying than a dragon. You can at least hide from a dragon.

    It’s crazy to see the difference of the high sparrow who clearly uses religion as a way to control the masses and gain power, and the guy the hound was with, who was just preaching about forgiving yourself and living a better life.

    the hound is deff top 5, he has been helping the stark girls since the first season, just a sad old man that was burned as a child by his own brother

    God, Blake is so adorable. A good and good-looking guy.

    Anyone sharing a scene with Ian McShane should just not bother to show up. He will be the best thing on the screen by miles, no matter the context. Tragic that we only get him for one episode.

    One redeeming quality amongst almost all the evil people in Game of Thrones, from Cersei to Ramsay to Littlefinger, is that they gladly accept, and embrace, their evil-ness. They know they aren't good people, and never pretend to have any noble, Ned-Starky motivations for their actions. But the High Sparrow does. He claims to be doing everything for the Gods, while he is actually doing it for power: a perverse sadistic power of controlling the wealthy and powerful.
    In GoT, as in real life, we can somewhat tolerate bastards who stand exactly where they say they do. Hypocrites, not so much.

    igly: 'i don't have anything to say"
    Blake/Corey: 'Anything more to say bro?"

    3 hours later.... Igli finally stops talking.... lmao

  • @lailastark6010

    I totally agree with Blake. He imprisoned someone for being gay, one for lying, and one for incest, and then mentally tortured them so he can use them to manipulate Tommen into giving him more power. Seems like some pretty clear reasons to hate him

    • @tiddlesthecat1141
      @tiddlesthecat1141 7 місяців тому +4

      You can hate someone and also agree that they have bars.

    • @damianxavier7343
      @damianxavier7343 7 місяців тому +5

      No one is saying he isn't a villain. Just saying he got bars, which he in fact does have.
      So many villains in so many movies and shows have really cool lines, and appreciating the cool lines don't mean you agree with the actions.

  • @duggs4456

    Bit of a brutal story, but I get a bit annoyed when people complain about surviving a couple of stab wounds like with Arya here, because I have a friend who was stabbed 9 times in the stomach, chest, back and arm when he was 14 on the way to a football game. The attacker was a 40 something year old man. His dad was also stabbed and died in the attack, my 14 year old friend survived. He was invited as a guest of honour to a game less than 2 weeks later, and he walked in without assistance. He's 30 now and has no long term issues, zero reduction in mobility, you can only tell it happened from the scars. Our bodies are weirdly fragile and incredibly resilient at the same time. The people who say "got stabbed, should be dead, not realistic" don't know what they're talking about.

    • @Blinkptx
      @Blinkptx 7 місяців тому

      Damn, glad your friend survived, but very sorry he went through that. I agree though. Especially when it comes to gut wounds. Even if you die from them, it usually takes a long time. Relatively good chances of survival if treated.

    Deadwood is an older HBO original series that you should watch (ended too soon due to supposed budget issues). It had some of the best dialogue and Ian McShane had the best monologues delivered like he was in a Shakespearean play.
    That actor was also TERRIFYING in a 90’s classic called “Sexy Beast”
    You gotta watch it
    Up there with those hard core 90’s flicks like True Romance, Romeo is Bleeding and others
    One of my all time favorites
    Check ‘it out! It’s a good reaction flick

    I really feel bad for Igli for missing out on the glorious memes that were coming out around this time. Lyanna Mormont was everywhere and some of those were absolutely bangers. :)
    To be honest Glover was not wrong about what he said about Robb. He was a King, he had duties. He was promised to marry a Frey girl, he broke his word. Thats a bad example to set as a king he had no grounds to judge others breaking their words after that. Not sure if he lost the war becasue of that be he definitely lost his own, his wife and unborn child, also his mother's life becasue of that. Tywin might have been able to beat him in battle at one point especially with the Tyrells so I dont know about the war. It was a terrible decision and he paid for it. His father never would've done something like that. I understand where Glover is coming from even though he was a dick.

    The high sparrow only went after rich people so that’s fine lol. When you see how much the squabbles of the nobility costs the average peasant, it’s kind of nice to have someone there to hold them accountable.

    Perhaps no one saw Arya cos she became no one.. Lol
    So, I get where Igli is coming from saying the High Sparrow was cooking and charismatic.. That and the ability to manipulate people are requirements for being effective cult leaders..
    ..furthermore, many of the GoT characters are serving one "God" or another, including the Red Woman..
    The Blackfish is epic..

    Don't quite understand why you laugh when Jamie talks about his honor. That he has honor should be clear by now. This has been clear since season 1 when he fought Ned Stark, when he rescued Briene, when he sent her to protect the Stark children.
    And again, Jamie does everything he can to lose as few men on both sides to capture the Blackfish. He executes an order and does so with as few losses as possible.

    I feel like someone needs to explain the concept of religion to Blake. Extreme, sincere religious belief is not about the individual. It's about conforming your life to a higher power. The High Sparrow is a true believer - he does not operate out of his own imagined authority, or out of some cynical political ploy as everyone else in Game of Thrones does, but out of the authority he derives from what he sincerely believes the will of his Seven Gods to be. And, so, if you're the High Sparrow and you've conformed your entire life to the Seven, logic follows that all others must as well. Otherwise you condemn them to wallow in sin. And who is anyone to say otherwise, when compared to the divine mandate of the creators of the cosmos? There is no higher authority. There is no appeal to be made. You will conform your life to the Seven. You will confess, you will repent, or you will be made to see the error of your ways.

    The worst storyline in the show. By far the worst! Getting sta**bbed multiple times and it has no effect?! Man this might be a fantasy show, but it's awful writing, extremely awful. The show was going downhill but man, this was something so incredibly dumb! 🤡
